Actually, 4.5 stars--my spouse and I disagreed about the rating; he says 5 stars and I say 4, so take it as you will.
Short version: This is a very nice soundbar and subwoofer combo. The soundbar projects a lot of sound and the subwoofer is an ample thumper. I cannot really imagine how big of a room you’d actually need to want to turn this unit up to a high volume setting. To me, the sound was almost unbearably loud by halfway. Setup is simple for everyday use, and the options are reasonable. I did not have any real issues with delay, minus one sports broadcast that seemed to have some noticeable delay. That may have been the delivery mode—I believe it was on a streaming service and that may have been the problem. The sound imperfections come in the mid-range tones, especially at lower volumes. Sound quality is not as good without the subwoofer. Positioning does matter (figure out where to sit in front of the speakerbar for optimal sound, and don’t block it!), which is both a testament to the directional force and stereo separation on the unit, but also can be a little less ideal in some ways in every day life. Having a real remote is definitely a plus, however certain features are only available through the app (like equalizer control). The app is…laggy…and leaves a lot to be desired, but it does work.
Longer version:
Install: As with most soundbars, the Klipsch unit is intended to be used on its own, directly with your tv setup. It is basically just plug and play, and you’re ready to go. It uses HDMI and optical cable for hookup, which is pretty typical. The subwoofer can be wired to the speakerbar or it can communicate with it through a Bluetooth adapter. I tried both options and both work, and I didn’t notice any delay issues with using Bluetooth. (That would be a lot less noticeable with a subwoofer than with other speakers, I would think though.) Additionally, more surround speakers could be added to the setup if you chose to get them. This could definitely round out the sound and give more of a full surround experience. You will not be able to easily use the bar and woofer with other speakers, so do consider this before you buy. If you want a simple setup that is keyed off the TV and can work directly out of the box, this is a good unit to choose. On a sidenote, I have used other, cheaper soundbars and found much to be desired. The hookups seemed inconsistent and communication with the TV was glitchy. On top of that, the sound was better but nothing all that special with these lower priced models. In the end I rarely bothered with previous audio devices because they were more trouble than they were worth. By comparison, I really like the Klipsch and it *works*.
Use: The sound output is impressive, as I stated in my short review above. There are built in settings for music, movie, and dialog. I admit when using the bar just with the TV, I mostly wanted dialog. At times, the mix felt off a bit, which may have to do with the input, but sometimes even with these settings it seemed like the background and especially low tones could drown out the voices somewhat. Mostly, however, I liked having the extra depth and dynamism to the sound. This soundbar excels, though, when the sound is turned up to at least a middle range. At all ranges, I find the sound to be improved a lot by the subwoofer, which helps isolate the low sounds and also gives serious resonance.
When the sound is up, it certainly more than fills the room and possibly fills my neighbors’ houses too. (The built in option for “night mode” is a good thing to have—this setting will dampen the sound when you’re listening later in the evening so that it’s not as likely to go through walls and annoy your neighbors.) At lower settings, the output sometimes sounds a bit muffled. This was a bit of a letdown to me, as I was hoping for better fidelity at this lower range. For reference, I’m talking about a volume setting that registers on the soundbar at under 16 or so, which I guess is pretty low. I am a bit sensitive to loud tv, and I have had some difficulty finding a sweet spot where the sound seems crisp and good but it’s not deafening to me. Now, this reaction is a little bit different when our furnace comes on and the blower makes a good bit of noise. It’s nice to have the more powerful sound in this case.
As I mentioned above, I feel like this unit has muddled tone separation on the mid to high end of the audio range. This is especially noticeable listening to music. I found that I wanted have the Klipsch app running when listening to music because I can adjust the eq via custom in the app. I found the presets available in the app for the equalizer, however, did not really improve the music sound and in fact tended to make music—particularly rock or pop with vocals—sound more muddied. Custom setting helped with that. The quality of input certainly matters here, though, and because I was streaming music off my phone to test this setting, I will add a grain of salt to this complaint.
Bluetooth and the App: The soundbar can be used right out of the box with good results. It has a real remote and you can control a lot without having to deal with the app. But, if you want more capability, you can download the app and have a range of new options, including the customizations I mentioned above (eq, night mode, etc.). Your app also lets you use your phone like a remote, so you can adjust volume, etc. if you can’t find the stupid remote. The app itself, however, is frustrating because it is SLOOOOOW.
Additionally, you can connect other devices to the soundbar via Bluetooth, so you can stream music or radio into the speaker and improve your listening experience. This was super simple with my phone, and it connected perfectly. My computer, however, hates the soundbar, but my computer also hates my other Bluetooth speakers. Pretty sure that’s not the Klipsch’s fault. However, there might be some issues with the pairing mode—because the computer did not want to connect I couldn’t really test the soundbar was being proprietary about whatever Bluetooth it first connected with. Regardless, even when I turned my phone Bluetooth off, my computer struggled to connect. I think this is still the computer or user error more than the soundbar being at fault.

Klipsch has always been held to very high regard in the stereo and audio community and for good reason. Their quality has always been the absolute standard for the average consumer as well as audiophiles, and this Flexus CORE 210 is no different. I have been constantly impressed by this model from the moment I opened the box. This unit is such a beast compared to any other soundbar+subwoofer combination I have experience with. The set is so heavy and feels so elegant compared to base model sets from other brands. The quality gives it a furniture-like feel with the textured metal grills over the speaker, as well as the fabric areas, but especially the faux wood grain vinyl. I absolutely love that addition and feel like it matches many living room furniture pieces that are popular now. This soundbar and subwoofer set was very easy to set up, and this was the first set that I’ve been able to use an app with, and the app works great. I love how user friendly it is to use and make adjustments to the settings compared to a remote. I also really like the hidden “screen” for text that is behind the mesh fabric front, it does not take away from the design but helps to make the speaker even more user friendly and enjoyable to use. Though this combo set scores very high when it comes to build quality and design, it also scores just as high if not higher when it comes to the audio quality. My dad is a huge audiophile with a store sized collection of vintage audio equipment and speakers and he has never had a nice thing to say about a modern speaker I have brought into this house until now. As soon as he heard the brand name Klipsch his ears perked up and gave me a history lesson on how good Klipsch is known to be. Once we set it up and started playing music and also watched a movie with it, he was blown away. He and I had zero complaints on the sound quality. It was warm but crisp, and the base in the subwoofer was so complimentary to the sound. I now play music from this speaker any chance I get because I absolutely love listening to it. Although the price tag on this combo set is intimidating compared to other sets out there, I promise you the quality difference is worth it. I cannot recommend this enough to anyone who cares about how they consume media in their household.

The first thing I noticed when I received this soundbar, was the weight of the package. It's got some heft to it. During the unboxing, I was really impressed by the design. Klipsch went above and beyond the standard black casing. The texture of the fabric, the ebony wood top panel, and even the Klipsch emblems are top notch. I really like the length of the Flexus soundbar. It matches up nicely with 55" inch tvs and larger. I don't care for the puny look of other small soundbars. When powered up the first time I noticed the large display, great choice! I'm a person that likes to be able to see info from my soundbar easily. Tiny displays, a line of dots, or a white light that move from one side to the other don't make sense to me. Having the numerical volume number displayed or the input I'm on is a must. Gets rid of any guessing. There is an app to download to easily control more aspects of the Flexus and it's Bluetooth, no wifi hook up needed!
Now the sound. Having the Klipsch name, it should sound good, and it does. By itself it has great sound. With all the front facing and up firing speakers as well as built in subwoofers, it provides room filling, robust sound. Then if you add the wireless sub to the mix, it's next level. The 10 inch size is soo much better then the small 5-6 inch subs on others. The movies and any music sound wonderful. The sub and soundbar work so perfect together. If you have a bigger room, they do offer wireless surround speakers to add on. The built in surround sound works great for me.
I did have an issue pairing the Flexus bar with my Firestick TV remote. The ir function isn't enabled out of the box (Bluetooth remote) but putting the soundbar into installer mode fixed that. Call support (there's real people there!) they tell you how to do it.
I'm thrilled with this Klipsch Flexus Soundbar!

Overall, I am impressed. The first thing I heard was the opening animation to a streaming service. My friend and I were floored by the clear bass that rumbled the room. Whether listening to voices, music, or sound effects, everything is crisp and clear.
Setup was simple. I plugged my TV in via the HDMI ARC channel. The subwoofer has a wireless connection via an included dongle. The app connected effortlessly via Bluetooth, and the bar instantly responds to commands from it. There is a separate Bluetooth connection for audio, so be sure to pair both if using the phone with the app as the audio source. I love the large text readout on the front of the bar. It is totally hidden unless in use, but there is no doubt what it is saying when illuminated. The remote has buttons for all the critical functions, and has something I have never seen before - name brand alkaline batteries!
When I want bass, this bar delivers without hesitation. It sounds so natural even though my room is almost shaking. Thankfully, when needed, the night mode cuts out the vast majority of bass without sacrificing the essential audio, like voices.
The negatives of this bar are pretty limited. I wish it acted as a video switch with more HDMI inputs. I don’t like that it ties up an HDMI port without also acting as a switch. The other con is that it does not appear to have surround effects built in. Instead, they sell add-on surround speakers. With that said, the sound quality of this bar is so good that I will probably buy the extra speakers to complete the package.
This sound bar is not cheap, but it is a great example of “You get what you pay for.” I am impressed and would definitely recommend it to a friend, especially if they either don’t want surround sound, or they plan to add the extra speakers.

Speakers on both the front and the top of the soundbar project sound in all directions, providing a very big feel to the audioscape, but that also makes the soundbar itself quite large. If you're hanging your tv on the wall, that's not a huge consideration, but if it's sitting on a stand, you need to have room in front or a shelf below to accommodate the soundbar. It's also just a bit too wide to fit between the feet of my 65" tv, so it sits even farther out in front of it. It also comes with mounting hardware so you can hang it on the wall below a mounted tv, but again, you'll need some space to accommodate it and not occlude the top speakers. The subwoofer is also fairly large, which you kind of need for good bass, but there's no hiding this one behind a grill. It is quite obviously a speaker, and you've got to be good with it looking like a speaker. The "wireless" aspect of the subwoofer is good, as there are prongs in the back to hold any excess power cord, and it connects wirelessly to the soundbar. It is a little weird that you need to plug a USB adapter into the back of the soundbar to connect the subwoofer. You would think that would just be built in, but there is a recess in the back of the soundbar that fully accommodates that plug. I set it up using the HDMI audio return channel, which works well. There are a ton of adjustments you can make using the included remote, but the volume can also be controlled through the tv remote using HDMI ARC. The sound is fantastic, so as long as the physical dimensions will work with your setup this is a great choice.

We have absolutely loved the Klipsch Flexus Core 210 sound bar.it has been a great addition to our living room tv setup. We have a Roku TV and the set up was so simple and flawless. Just a quick plug in, it recognized the and bar and we were listing with great ease in seconds. the sound quality is GREAT. it is loud! I also love that I can set different settings based on what we are watching. we set ours so that the background music is lower so it is easier to hear the characters speech. this was a game changer for my husband who sometimes can't hear the actors speak.
the ONLY downfall or con we have for this speaker is that it is TALL. much taller than any other sound bar I have every used. we do not have out TV mounted. so when we place the soundbar in front of our ROKU we cannot control the TV. We simply made some risers for the TV to sit on to negate this problem... but definitely something to consider if you have your TV just on a stand.
My whole family would recommend the Klipsch in a heartbeat!

OK sound bar and subwoofer combo

This is a fairly good soundbar and subwoofer combo. Setup was one of the easiest I’ve had for a soundbar. The wireless subwoofer connected right away and without any problems. Connecting to a Tv worked well and there weren’t any sound syncing issues
The overall sound is good but doesn’t really fill the room as well as some others I’ve used. The sound is nice and loud and great for a small to medium room, but isn’t quite as loud as others and would struggle a bit for a larger room.
It doesn’t do a great job of imitating surround sound, but it does advertise that you can add satellite and surround speakers. I’m assuming that if you were to get those as well that the sound would fill the room better and compensate for some of the surround sound shortcomings.
The sound bar does have some shortcomings on its other features. The Bluetooth range is pretty short. I connected to my phone to just listen to some music and it would get choppy and studdery at only around 10-15 feet away, far below any other Bluetooth speaker I have. The worst things is that this sound bar randomly turns itself on. When just connected to the tv, its not the worst thing just the lights turning on. However, if the last thing you were doing was your Bluetooth then it suddenly makes really loud noises as it connects to your device after it turns itself on. It may not be a big deal if you have the soundbar in the other room, but I had it in a bedroom and it started turning on and making noises in the middle of the night. I thought I had left it on so I turned it off, and 5 min. later it turned itself back on. I turned it to TV mode before turning it back off again and it seems to have stayed off, but why is it turning itself on?
Overall its not a horrible soundbar once you know how to keep it from waking you up in the middle of the night, but I did expect just a bit more from a brand name like this.

Great Sound To Fill Living Room

I've never been disappointed with Klipsch audio. They always bring the premium sound you crave during an intense battle in a movie or dramatic scene. The Klipsch Flexus Core 210 is not any different and I thoroughly enjoy movie night Fridays now. The subwoofer also bumps! It shakes my house when there's an intense scene but if people are sleeping in the other room, you can always switch to night mode or dialogue mode to reduce some of the rumble to not disturb others. When in movie or music mode even at high volumes you don't get any distortion but very clear and crisp sound which is great for my large open space living room. Although this model doesn't come with satellite speakers you can add them as a separate purchase which brings the best set up for the ultimate game day, movie night, or video game session.
Overall, this combo subwoofer and soundbar are all you really need for great audio in your living room or bedroom. Set up is quick and simple with connectivity through Bluetooth, HDMI, or optical digital.

The aystem is excellent when watching a movie. Also excellent room filling sound when playing from a Bluetooth connection. But. When uou cast to your smart tv. The music goes way down. When you use Spotify or YouTube from your tv the volume gets cut in half. If you are Bluetooth connected directly to the unit it’s excellent sound. The dolby sounds incredible during movies. Klipsh dropped the ball when casting music to the Tv. Something is wrong with the coding. I will be returning this unit because of that. Its a Bummer because the sound is great from bluetooth. I like to use Spotify and pandora on the TV. And still have ise of my phone.
