    Wanted something good an inexpensive

I recently completed my coursework in Music Education, and wanted a set of computer speakers for my office that were good, but not overly expensive. As a musician, I can't stand hearing inaccurate sound from cheap speakers. In the price bracket I was looking at, I had a choice between these Klipsches and Bose Companion 2 speakers. The Boses sounded great in the store... however, I noticed one thing. The little handy Bose station that is set up in the store- if you listen to all the selections it has for you and wait for the credits at the end, you will notice that each one says "Recorded by Bose Corporation." I wasn't comfortable buying speakers knowing that Bose had recorded their own demo music and probably equalized it in the most beneficial way possible for their speakers. That made my choice easy, and boy I haven't regretted it for a minute. I can hear every little nuance in the music I listen to with these Klipsches, and I listen to everything from classical to jazz to 70's rock. It all sounds fantastic. Very clear and accurate, they sound like much more expensive speakers than they are. Cranking them to the max is more volume than I can handle, but they don't distort there. I also like the adjustment for the bass on the speaker. I even went back and bought a second pair for home, they were that good! The only little niggle I have with them is that the ABS plastic enclosures can make the speakers sound a little thuddy. I fixed this by placing a soft cloth underneath each speaker. It's really picking nits to even mention this, but I did feel the sound difference was enough to mention in the article. YMMV.

Better than the average PC Speaker

While these speakers are pretty good, have decent clarity, and surprising lows, the bass gets in the way and tends to muffle the sound a lot. I turned the bass down a lot, and even at low setting the bass is not very clear, just boomy. If you're interested in having something loud to jam out with and blare rock or rap music, then this is the set for you. I however, listen to a lot of jazz and classical music and these really don't work for that, I went and traded them in for a set of Bose Companion II speakers and those work a lot better for what I was looking for. These are good speakers, but the clarity and boomy bass was really bothering me.

These are some of the best computer speakers I have had and I have had a few sets in this price range. My one complaint is that I miss my separate volume knob that was on my old logitech. I had it right next to the mouse. This has the volume on the speaker. But, can I really complain about having to move my hand an extra 2"? I guess I am just looking for something. Because for the past month I have completely enjoyed these. I am ver impressed with Klipsch. I listened to their home speakers in BBY, and I am considering buying a complete Reference bookshelf Surround set.

I had never heard of the Klipsch brand before. I went to my local Best Buy and purchased the Klipsch speakers and went straight home and hooked them up. Very easy installation, too. WOW!!! Awesome sound. Killer bass, which I love. I had my speakers in use when my son came home and he thought I had dropped about $300 on some huge sound system. He couldn't believe it when he saw just these two speakers sitting on my desk and the totally sweet sounds coming from them. I would definitely recommend these.

I don't have these exact speakers but I have an extremely similar model Klipsch was selling for this price last year. I loved my speakers at first too. Here's this brand I've never heard of and the sound quality is great! 13 months later (one month after the warrenty's off of course), only one of the two speakers will play sound at a time and I'm lucky if the sound is clear. There's a lot of static every time I turn the volume knob. I don't know about you, but I can't afford new speakers every year.

I bought these according to the other reviews and I was NOT dissapointed. Very happy with the quality of sound and the ease of hook up to my PC. I would have to say they are exactly what I was looking for.
