I listened to a ton of sound bars before deciding on the SB3, and have NO regrets with this decision. Great sound, high quality and expect it to last many, many years like the other Klipsch speakers I still own. I'm going to go over the one con I have first. It only has 1 optical input which can be a problem using multiple devices. If you have everything from your devices going into the tv via HDMI then having the optical from the tv going to the speaker, it should suffice if your TV passes that signal out the optical for all devices coming in. I don't think all tvs will take all HDMI inputs and pass them through the optical out or at least at the highest quality, You need to see what your tv does. I'd prefer to have each device go into the speaker directly and would have liked at least 3 or 4 optical inputs. I use a optical switch box w/remote to fix that problem. I already had this device and use a Logitech tv remote, so to me, this didn't turn out to be an issue. Overall this thing can get VERY LOUD and still sounds great. Dialog is very crisp at ANY volume. No distortion, no problems with hearing dialog/voices over background sound or noise. The Subwoofer sounds great, adds that nice deep tone and all those nice lower sounds you expect from your block buster movies. It has a volume adjustment in the back of that unit to set to your liking. Someone said something about having that on the remote, which I suppose would be nice, but I don't like to do a lot of tweaking with the sound, which is why I bought this in the first place. I find a sweet spot for how I like it and leave.it. I don't want to do anything but turn up and down the volume and listen to great sound. This does that perfectly.. I also want to add if you've listened to the SB1 in the store, don't think this is going to sound the same. It isn't, it is a lower end retail store version of their sound bar that doesn't show what Klipsch speakers can really sound like. The SB3 has horns with tweeters, like all good speakers should. I hesitated to get the SB3 without even getting the chance to hear it live. I couldn't find anyplace that had it local to me. But I took a chance since I couldn't find anything I liked in the stores and because I own a set of Klipsch floor speakers which are fantastic, so I know their quality and reputation. I highly recommend the SB3 if this is in your budget.. If your thinking about the Bose sound bar which is the only other sound bar I've seen in the stores that might compare to this and at twice the price, you should find someplace that has the SB3 first and try it out before you do. I wasn't impressed with the Bose sound bar and wouldn't pay half that price for it.

I had been searching around and reading reviews for about a month before deciding on the SB3. I ordered it online without ever hearing it, so it was a bit of a risk. Once it arrived I was extremely happy with my choice! Huge sound, crystal clear even at max volume. The 10" sub puts out WAY more bass then any of the other comparative sound bar systems with 6" or even 8" subs. It will boom the bass and it is very clear and has excellent sound! And it gets plenty Loud! Most of the volume is from 0-50%, after about half way up on the volume meter, the volume increase is minimal, and almost non-existent after about 80%. but it is plenty loud enough to fill a large room (my living room is 20x20 with 18ft ceilings). The soundbar and Sub connect automatically once both devices on powered on. Takes about 10-15 seconds and then they are paired up wirelessly. One of the best things about the soundbar is that it powers on and off with the TV as it sleeps after inactivity and comes back on when a signal is detected. No need to turn it on/off separately like with certain Bose units. The biggest con I have noticed it that that system did not come with mounting hardware. All you get is a template for mounting on the wall. I had to go get wall anchors/screws for the keyhole mounts. Once I had the hardware though, it mounts and installs very easily. It also has very limited inputs, but I run everything through my TV and run the optical output from the TV to the soundbar, so it doesn't bother me at all. The only other drawback is the lack of bluetooth, but if you can live without it (I just stream Pandora, etc through my smart TV, or you can get a $20 bluetooth adapter and plug it into the 3.5mm jack on the side of the soundbar and it becomes a bluetooth soundbar). My DirecTV remote paired immediately with the soundbar as well. It controlled my soundbar volume right out of the box, I did not have to set up or pair the remote at all, which was nice. Word of advice....DO NOT compare this unit to the Klipsch Icon SB-1 soundbar that they always have set up at Best Buy to listen to on the demo rack. The SB-3 is MILES ahead of the SB-1 and is in a completely different league soundwise!! Way louder, clearer and has a TON more bass!!! The SB-3 is a higher tier unit, so it typically isn't set up as a demo to be able to listen to before you buy (at least no where I could find). I would definitely recommend this soundbar to anyone if it is in your price range.

We bought the Bose Cinemate 1SR unit for our living room and our bedroom. It worked really well, especially with simulating the surround sound in movies. What seemed to be missing to me was great sound for listening to music. Klipsch was a brand that I had heard of as a youngster playing around in the audio stores. So, I sold the Bose unit in our bedroom and took the opportunity to try this one out. Wow, is all I can say. I can truly blast some music. The downfiring subwoofer will shake the floor. The Bose system really missed the punch that this one gives. I'm very happy with the purchase. TV also sounds good as do movies. I can't tell whether I like the 3D surround button or not. For music, definitely not, but when watching tv or a movie it seems ok. Again, from the surround sound simulation regard the Bose is better. For music listening, the Klipsch wins, hands down. Some complain about the remote programming. I had no issue with that. The Dish Network remote has a learn function which I used to learn the volume control, mute, and 3D commands. That's all I needed. The other small feature that I really like is that it turns on and off on it's own, with the TV. It goes to sleep after I have not used it and when I turn the TV back on, it comes back on. The Bose did not do this. It went to sleep, but would not turn back on without using the remote to turn it on. The watchouts are that the unit was larger than I expected, but wasn't too big a deal.

I purchased a new HDTV back in December and took my time shopping around for a sound bar as they have recently exploded in popularity and there have been many new entries into the sound bar market. Initially, I was looking into purchasing the B&W Panorama 2, but after reading mixed reviews about it around the web I decided to put that on hold and do some more shopping around which brought me to Klipsch. I will say, I'm no stranger to Klipsch as I've used their S4i in-ear headphones and their Promedia 2.1 computer sound system, so it was no surprise that the SB3 delivered! Setup was incredible simple. Power to the sound bar, power to the sub and optical audio to the TV and it was up and running. I wish, for the price, that the Klipsch came with a better remote as the one that comes in there is kind of cheap and cheesy. Or even better, I wish Klipsch would find a way to integrate a IR-learning feature so you could use your existing remote with this system or even offer an iOS app to control it. The other huge downside is that Klipschs' technical support is incredibly poor. I purchased this sound bar in May and the sound bar (and possibly the sub) have already malfunctioned. I now have a $700 system sitting on the floor in my apartment because Klipsch writes me every other few days to try to get this resolved. I'm shocked that a company that prides itself on good products has such terrible support and that Klipsch is dragging their feet like this on getting this issue/system resolved and/or replaced, even though the system is clearly under a manufacturer's warranty. At this time, I can't say my "value for the price" is anything less than poor; however, I recently decided to upgrade to the new Sonos Playbar sound system and Klipsch has officially lost a customer. I am hooked on the sound, usability and we'll see how the support is in a few days when I call them to help get the Playbar synced to my NAS.

Great soundbar with awesome sound and thunderous bass goes great with my Samsung 55 inch E7500 smart tv, i had purchased the samsung soundbar e551 Series it has good sound with Bluetooth connectivity for MP3 players and smart phones but when listening to it on a higher volume the sound becomes distorted but with the Klipsch SB3 the sound remained crystal clear even when the volume is cranked up. it seems that the louder you have it the better it sounds, the subwoofer rocks with only the volume of the soundbar turned up only half way.It even sounds a lot better when watching blu ray movies it seems like you are inside the movie itself the sound is so lifelike, oh and did I forget to mention it also has a 3D sound mode which I love when I watch 3D movies, it is by far one of the best soundbars in the market today Thanks Klipsch for making great products you are truly the Keepers of The Sound, I would definitely recommend this excellent soundbar to anyone who wants to upgrade their TV speakers

I have my own home recording studio so am a little picky about the sound I listen to. Out of the box this system was a great improvement to the general sound that my TV produced on its own. Still, I was not happy with the bass as it seemed a little weak to me, even when the volume control on the back of the sub was pushed to the max. In the long run I ended up running the RCA outputs through a 15 band graphic EQ which I then tweeked to push the bottom end to where it brought a smile to my face. For most people, the out of the box sound will be just fine though. My wife seemed to be happy with it - but when I hooked up the EQ and kicked up the bass it gave it the WOW factor I was looking for. My wife agreed to keeping the EQ in the system so I bought another for my recording room. Now everyone's happy!

I was debating between soundbars by Klipsch, Bose, and Sonos. I have the Bose SIE2i headphones, and respect the sound quality Bose delivers. I have the Klipsch Gallery G-17 speaker, and love the overall sound experience. I ended up going with Klipsch, because of their focus on the overall sound experience. The bass is great both from the sub and soundbar. The soundbar hits the lows and mids very well. Doesn't hit the high's as well as Bose, but the SB3 definitely isn't stumbling over the highs. The only knock I have is that the soundbar was broken out of the box. I hooked it up and sound comes out and the bass works, but the receiver and control panel are broken, so I can't adjust the volume. After a few days the lights lit up and the control panel was working. It worked great for about a week and then went out again. Then started working after a few days. I obviously have a faulty soundbar. When the soundbar fully works the sound experience is incredible.

This sound bar replaced a surround sound system. The system as well as a number of components were connected through a receiver. The only way to get sound through the TV is to connect the cable box directly to the TV. None of the other components work through the sound bar now. I am going to have get a technical person to attempt to get everything connected properly so that the sound from the other components will go through the sound bar. The volume control on the SB3 is poor. The steps between settings are so large that the sound is either too loud or too low. There were many reviews on the SB1 whose owners experienced the same problem. No SB3 was available to listen to locally before I purchased the SB3. I wrongly assumed that Klipsch would have fixed this problem on this model. The gentleman at Customer Service said he was unaware of any volume control problems with either the SB1 or SB3

This Soundbar is incredible. I researched for 3 weeks on every site I could find. I read countless reviews and learned more than I ever thought I would about sound quality, and it all led to this Soundbar. I took a risk and bought it online without hearing it in the store because they didn't have one in stock, but I made that decision way after doing all the research. When I finally got it, I was so satisfied. This is the one you want. If you want a Soundbar and this price fits your budget, it doesn't get much better than this. I can tell you that I did the research and nothing compared to this Soundbar.

I have looked into this sound bar for a couple months along with many others. the setup was quick and easy. the sound is awesome for how the room is setup. the remote that comes with the sound bar is on the cheep side but, I didn't have to do anything with programing my cable box remote it just work with the sound bar right away. the sounds bar looks great sitting under my TV. my only problem is actually with Best Buy and not the sound bar. When I made up my mind to buy this sound bar I went to my local Best buy and they didn't have this in stock the guy told me that this sound bar was discontinued, and Best buy would not be able to get any more. they had the SB1 at the same price as the SB3. a week later I went to Best buys webpage to compare the SB1 to the SB3 and I found out that the SB3 was in stock.

high quality sound (impressive power) - even though no custom adjustment is avail. voice quality during movies is great / music is sharp and sub fills in the lows beautifully plugged in unit & immediately it synced w/ sub & as soon as i used dvd/tv remote, the SB3 matched up right away - no probs or tech issues as of yet - enjoying great sound quality - worth the price!

Easy to install on wall which is what we wanted to do all along. Can turn the sub off if we don't want the harder boom but who are we kidding we always have it on. The sound quality is amazing. I'm sure you could get better but not for 600, good difference between highs and lows and sounds good at low volume as well.
