I decided to completely overhaul my system when I got my new TV and went with the KF-26 and KC-25 front stage (upgraded from Quintets) These speakers when matched to the proper center and tuned a bit really bring your surround system alive! I am hearing things in movies I have never heard before and deff much louder and balanced than the Quintets. Music sounds a ton better on these compared to the Quintets (they are smaller so can only do soo much). Music could still sound a little more full, but for the price of these things they are hard to beat. Appearance these look nice and clean. With the grilles off they look very masculine and strong. If you are like me and try to review things before buying them, good luck. These are only sold by BestBuy and do not seem to be very popular or people do not review them. I take advantage of return policies so I figured I have nothing to lose. I am feeding power to them from a Denon AVR-1912 and seems to be doing the trick well power wise (rated at 90W per channel) Only qualm with these are the feet. I got my one open boxed for a heavy discount due to the one foot broken off during delivery to the last user. After reviewing other models is seems Klipsch really goofed up on these feet and they are weak. Looking at the unit I knew it was an easy fix (replace foot with 2 small screws). I contacted Klipsch and they immediately sent me a new foot to replace. So be aware of the feet when buying these. You can take them off and likely get a more stable setup, but might look strange. I have mine on hardwood floors so I dont see too much of an issue, but if on carpet and try to slide to move I am sure they will snap off. Being said otherwise though I am happy with my purchase

I bought a pair of these speakers at Best Buy on clearance for 1/2 price. I bought them to replace a pair of Pioneer Tower Speakers that I had also purchased at Best Buy because I was looking for an upgrade in sound quality. At 1/2 price they were a good deal. The bass and mid range sound quality is really good and the horn tweeters make for crisp and clear treble. If you are looking for pure volume they will not disappoint. Two people standing beside each other could not hear each other speak when these speakers are cranked up. They sound good at high levels. I use them as part of a 5.1 surround system. They are my front speakers. Even though the bass is good I would pair them with a sub. Something to note: These speakers are pretty big. You won't sneak them by your wife without her knowing( you know who you are). I got caught! You will need an area big enough to support them, but they will fill your room with music. My only complaint is the plastic feet on the bottom of the speaker were broken when I took one of the speakers out of the box. Other people who reviewed this speaker complained of the same problem. Kipsch should not ship the speakers with the feet attached, but rather put them in with the manual for the consumer to attach. I called Klipsch and they sent me a new pair for free. Best Buy took another 10% off the affected speaker and also offered to give me another one to replace it. The bottom line is these are really good affordable speakers that work great for music and movies. Crank them up and enjoy!

Cheap plastic legs break & Best Buy service sucks

I haven't even been able to hear these speakers at my home yet, but I can tell you now it's not worth the hassle. I was comparing these Klipsch to a set of Polk Tsi 400s and the Klipsch and in the end the Klipsch sounded just a little bit bigger, but not a huge difference or anything. The Klipsch went on sale for $170 a speaker so I decided to get these because they were at the time cheaper than the Polk Tsi 400. I also had a bunch of Reward Zone certificates saved up so I would save $140 on top of the total price! I received these in the mail via UPS and upon inspection both speakers were damaged. The legs on them had been broken off on BOTH. I don’t know why they just don’t ship the legs separately it would make much more sense. Anyway I contacted Best Buy and they said I could exchange them in the local store. Upon arrival they had no Klipsch KF-26s in stock contrary to what they said and also was listed on the website that said they had them in stock. I had to order them and it would take 5-7 days to get new ones, great. Also, they ended up charging me $70 more because I had used my Rewards Zone certificates and they also added tax on that costing me $78 even though I had already paid tax for the online purchase. What is the point of being a premiere silver status member if you can’t use the certificates? That’s a bunch of BS considering I have spent over $10,000 at Best Buy in 6 months for my business. They can kiss that business good bye. In the end you will save more money and time if you just go with the Polk Tsi 400s they are a little smaller and are slightly less powerful than the Klipsch, but at the end of the day at least and hopefully both of them won’t be damaged due to cheap manufactured legs. Also, I cannot stress this enough, seriously consider your local Best Buy customer service before purchasing. I’m not telling you to shop elsewhere, but I know I will not be a customer of Best Buy anymore.

These speakers sound great for the price! It's hard to go wrong. I replaced my old mid-level Polk Audio tower speakers and "What a difference!". I can actually hear my music and movies without having to crank up the volume. The Polk's tweeters were lousy in comparision to these Klipsh tweekers. And the woofers produce a nice full mid-range sound. They grab a good little bit of the low-range bass too, but you can tell where it falls off. Don't let that discourage you though. This is fine for me as I knew these towers were not designed for it. Most are not unless you are paying $$. A sub-woofer is choice for such audio/frequency levels. Granted my Polk's are 8yrs old, but I paid apx the same price and looking at the specs they were supposedly apx equivalent...wrong. I didn't need super expense fancy speakers. All I wanted was 2 tower speakers that could put beside my entertainment center to fill my small-to-moderately sized living with clear, full sounding audio. And that is what I got. Granted I am supplying the towers the watts/amps from a decent mid-level receiver, but even so the watts/amps it is supplying is only apx equivalent to speakers capacity. Meaning it is just enough to bring the speakers to life. This should be a consideration for anyone buying speakers though. There is no point in spending the money on desent speakers if you do not have the watts/amps/power/etc. to push them. -Just do a little homework before you buy. it pays off.- In short, for the price - great speakers at a good price.

O-M-G,,,These speakers are awesome.. I ordered them on Thanksgiving on sale for half price. Got them the following Wednesday. I hooked them up to my Sony Blue-Ray Home Theater in a Box system as the front Left & Right speakers. What a huge difference. With the old small speakers it wasn't really worth listening to music on this system. Tonight I stuck in a a classical CD (Korsakov) and thoroughly enjoyed the music. Next I tried a movie my 14 year old watched with me last week. They really made the movie come to life. There was a train wreck early in the plot. The dynamic range was phenominal. Throughout the entire movie we could now hear back ground noises such as birds, doors opening and closing, tires rolling in the dirt, wind blowing through trees,...just all the minutia we had been missing. I had really wanted the 8" speakers and "settled" for these because the larger ones were sold out at the time. I really made a good choice getting these and am very pleased with the speakers. They are awesome!!!

I love these speakers. They sound so clear and they really crank. I'm watching movies over again and it's honestly like I'm watching them for the first time again. I'm hearing things I never heard and I really get into movies more now than ever. I had a pretty decent pair of definitives so it's not like I went from nothing to these but the icons really blow my definitives out of the water. I love listening to music on them. In fact, since buying them, I've started buying remastered cds because the quality is great. I find myself listening to mp3s less often than before. However, even compressed mp3s through my iPod sound great through these bad boys. They're expensive but for the quality it's well worth it. The financing is great too. That's what really pushed me over the edge to buy them. I figure for $30 a month for 2 years, I can enjoy great sound anytime I want.

I purchased my Denon AVR-E400 7-channel 185 watts per channel receiver one year ago at best buy with the two big klipsch KF-28 tower speakers, klipsch 450 sub and have since been adding ALL of the klipsch speakers that have been available on sale as I could afford. The front speaker, book shelf speakers and now the back two. KF-26. My system is now a complete 7-1 swstem. Is sooooooo awesome. I love the music. I love the movies. Could not be happier. One word of advice to Klipsch speaker buyers!!!! Wait for a Klipsch speaker sale. Usually during the holidays and also periodacally throughout the year. usually at best buy, half price or 2 for one. Buy with confidence, these speakers come with a 5yr warranty, no need to buy extended warranties with Klipsch.

Wanted some major name brand tower speakers for my living room and saw these almost at half price on black friday so I jumped on them while they were available and I am very pleased with the sound. Playing video games, watching movies and playing music these speakers do it all efficiently. When watching TV shows even background music sounds awesome. Wanted the bigger 8in. icons but found it unnecessary considering that my reciever can't even push to reach the true potential of either size speaker so I went for the 6 1/2. I know these speakers can perform alot better if I had the right power set up, but I really don't know how to get it there. For the most part these speakers are awesome no regrets here.

I bought a pair of these speakers to complete my 5:1 surround sound. All my Klipesh speakers are hooked up to a Denon E-300. Before I added these speakers it just felt like something was missing because all I was running was 2 bookshelf speakers, a center speaker, and a subwoofer. I caught these towers on clearance for half price and got them to see how much of a difference it would make. Instead of having them setup as large speakers on the AVR, I set them to small and that's when the sound just started pouring out. It made such a difference my wife don't stop complaining about how loud the TV or music is. So she don't complain I can't turn my system up past 4 out of a volume knob that goes up to 100 unless she's not here.. haha... Having matched and mated speakers makes all the difference in the world...

I have been a proud supporter of the Klipsch brand for years now. The sound quality of a set of these speakers is fantastic for how small the cabinets are. Even hooked up to a low-end 75W RMS receiver these speakers sound fantastic. The sales rep was kind enough to humor me through all kinda of test hookups with different receivers in store. I ended up pairing a set of these with a Marantz SR5006. The removable grills take a bit of getting used to. Make sure the dual binding posts are linked if only using a single feed for the enclosure. The plastic feet on the bottom aren't the strongest so i would recommend gentle placing if they need to be moved.

Lete start by saying I only used these for about a week. I honestly just didn't have enough room for floor standing speakers in the room I put them in, that's my fault. For home theater use they sounded fantastic. Lots of low end bass extension to they point where crossing to a sub felt optional. Voices came through clear and sharp. However, I also wanted to use these for music listening. As I feared, horn tweeters are not for me. This particular design is very efficient but to my ears begins to sound very fatiguing and harsh after about 30-45 minutes of critical listening. In conclusion: they are excellent home theater speakers but they aren't for everyone. I ended up returning them for something smaller with dome tweeters.

Right now i have a pioneer elite vsx-42 pushing these two towers. I was worried that my reciever might be a little under powered for these (80watts per channel), but wow was i wrong. Klipsch makes such efficient speakers I can crank these bad boys as loud as i want with no distortion at all. I have these paired with a polk cs10 center channel. I chose a polk center channel because after buying the KC-25 i was dissapointed because of the very bright, unnatural sounding voices. The polk is a little better for me because it uses a soft dome tweeter instead of an aluminum one. They mingle very well. I also have klipsch kb-15's all around to complete my 7.1 system. Overall thoroughly impressed with these towers, whether it be music, cinema, or just cable. I highly recomend.

I bought these on Black Friday at my local store and I have been very pleased with them. They were very easy to install. They were packaged very well. They look great and the slim look is much better than the larger previous speakers we had. These speakers sound awesome while watching movies or listening to music. I was hesitant to buy the smaller speaker over the 8 inch however, they sound so great that I would never trade them for the larger. This was a buy that I am very pleased with. The money was very well spent. I had read a complaint in another post about the feet on the speaker. They are a very durable plastic and I don't see us having any issues with them. These speakers were built very durable.

The speakers sounds great. I connected it to a Denon audio receiver with Sony Bravia 3d monitor. I only connected these pair of speakers to a central speaker. I used to use Bose 5 speakers but it did not provide the dynamics I need. It was very easy to set up. This pair of speakers provides crisp sound quality, excellent clarity and great dynamics at action movies. Even though I only have 3 speakers but it already provide the effect I wanted. I plan to buy addition surround sound speakers later. I am very satisfied with the results.

These were bought to replace an aging pair of Genesis speakers from the mid-1980s. I also have a pair of Klipsch Cornwall speakers on another stereo system. After setup, I began to wonder if they were better than my Cornwalls at 4 times the price, so I had to compare. Well, no, not quite, but considering woofer size and box volume, these come real close to Cornwalls at a bargain price. They are also remarkably efficient, allowing huge volume from even low power receivers. If you like the Klipsch sound, I highly recommend these beauties. I like rock, heavy metal and classical and these are excellent for these genres.

After reading many reviews of several speakers for entry-level and actual test listening at the shop I decided to go with Klipsch- the most expensive speakers offered at Best Buy. To say the truth my budget is very tigh, initially I intended to go for the Pioneer with many good reviews with such low price. But by actually listening to speakers and comparing I only want Klipsch with clear, detailed sound. I also want something that I can use for long time so more investment for better quality speaker is my final choice. I cannot be happier with speakers of such price range.

For the price and for starter audio for a small room, these towers offer outstanding sound for the price. I have these paired with the rest of the Klipsch line in 7.1, and for the room size this is great, I set the crossover to about 60, yes THX recommends 80 if your speakers can handel that, but at 60 it seems to sound a little bit nicer. Good quality and great price. The sales people that assisted me with these were outstanding!!! I really wanted the towers along with the Denon reciver I had picked out, and lets just say, the sales people made that happen at the price I needed, bundled. Great people and great service! Thank you!

I needed a pair of quality speakers for my "man cave." After auditioning several pairs at my local Best Buy store, I chose the Klipsch Icons and am I glad I did. I get incredible sound out of these speakers. I have a sub-woofer that I was planning on suing with these speakers, but as of right now, the bass that I am getting is just kicking it. These speakers were a bit more expensive than what I was looking to spend, but I am glad I forked over the extra dough. I am very very pleased with my purchase! Big George

I was looking to replace my 12 year old smaller Polk speakers, which still played very well. My goal was to find front speakers for my sound sytem that would provide a better sounding, room filling experience. These Klipsch - Icon 6-1/2" 2-Way Floor Speakers did just that. I now hear sounds that I never heard before playing the same recordings. Good high and lows. Minimal distortion when cranked. I purchased these from Best Buy as an open box special. My salesperson listened to what I was looking for and took the time to show me several other brands. I am very happy with my purchase.....Thanks, Best Buy. Al C

I already wanted Klipsch speakers, and was planning on buying the bookshelf speakers for fronts & surrounds, plus the center channel. Stopped in to my local store on black Friday, and they had a package deal with these front towers, the center channel, & the directional surrounds for only $100 more than the other setup. Awesome deal on awesome speakers. Great sound quality/depth, and a decent bass note without a dedicated sub. I still plan to get a Klipsch sub, because I prefer more bass, but I have to say these offer just enough for well-rounded sound on their own.
