No doubt one of the PC system
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had an 8 year old Altec Lansing system, had a BB gift card, and after looking around the whole store, decided to get myself this set. After I plugged it in, I wanted to test the subwoofer so I set the subwoofer to 50% and sound to 50% and started up a dance track on Spotify. My monitors started to vibrate, and my mouse almost flew off the desk. These speakers are crystal clear and the bass is just SICK! Klipsch isn't known for their PC speaker setup, but they are known for quality in home theater. I think they may have made these speakers a little too powerful for the PC. In order for them to not be too loud, they basically have to be off. Beware if you live in an apt complex like me. Your neighbors will quickly hate you.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Simply blown away with sound I have never before experienced with my PC until now. Easy set up and at a cost that is quite affordable. I would recommend this speaker system without hesitation to a family member, or best friend, very confident that these Klipsch speakers have zero competition. nuff said

awesome sound
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the first review i have ever written, so that in itself shows the love I have for them. I recently received these speakers as a gift and they are awesome in every way. the sound quality and bass are clutch plus they were easy to set up. CAUTION : these are awesome so if you have a research paper to write do not buy them because you will be Rocking/Jaming/Dancing/Singing and HavingLotsOfFunPlayingThemLoud instead of writing your research paper.

Great sound, great price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I couldn't be more pleased with these speakers, save for a couple small things. Having come from a set of Logitech Z-2300s, I wanted something that would bump just as hard, while sounding just as good, without spending more. These fit the bill perfectly. I wanted a pair of speakers that would easily hook up to my laptop for playing my music and watching youtube, but would connect to my PS3 just as easily. This is the only downside to the speakers. If you want to connect these to a video game console, you'll have to purchase a separate cable that converts a headphone in to the red/white audio inputs. I paid 2 bucks for one. Problem solved. The sound is incredible. I'm not a music buff that can distinguish all the highs, lows, mids, etc... but I like hearing all the cool stuff going on in my music. You hear everything, and it sounds great. Playing Battlefield 3 will blow you away, the explosions rock the walls and the two little speakers do a great job of making decent surround effects. Skyrim is crazy too. All the small sounds (birds, wind, water, etc..) make for a more immersive experience. The bass kicks, but don't expect too much out of the little sub. I wanted to give them a workout so I played Swing My Door by Gucci Mane. There's almost too much bass in the song, and it distorted the sound coming from the speakers. Maybe messing around with an equalizer would help, I didn't bother to find out as I don't listen to much bass heavy tunes. I only paid $100 through Best Buy during an online sale, and feel like I stole them. They do everything well. If you live in an apartment / dorm like me, and you can't afford a receiver, amp, sub, and a couple floor standing speakers, BUY THIS SET.

Good 2.1 speakers, but there are better.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been a fan of Klipsh speakers since I first discovered Klipschorns back in the '70s. They're excellent, highly efficient speakers. The Promedia 2.1 are good speakers, but they're no Klipschorns, nor should anyone expect them to be. The price I paid for mine, $99, represents only a tiny fraction of the $9000 price for a pair of Klipschorns. Klipsch manufactures sound systems for movie theatres, so they're a very knowledgeable about sound. One glaring omission on the 2.1s is an on-off switch anywhere on the unit, at least on mine. Leaving them on all the time may consume a small amount of energy, but it's not much, and they do have a good sound. The speakers they're replacing, Altec Lansing ACS 340s, were left on pretty much all of the past 18 years, and they're still working. I also own a pair Logitech Z623s, though, also purchased for $99, and I find their sound to be superior to the Promedias. Midrange and treble are comparable, but the bass of the Z623 is definitely better than that of the Promedias: capable ot hitting lower frequncies and with more punch. They're truly in a class above. It's worth noting the the Promedias offer 200 watts of peak power, while the Legitechs offer 200 watts of RMS power, which is about twice as much. I don't think you'll be unhappy with the Promedia's, but go with the Logitechs if you want to most bang for your buck. I'm happy with both.

Klipsch has really outdone themselves
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had these speakers for about a week and a half and they are great Klipsch really puts out great products on the professional end. The sound quality BEATS BOSE by a landslide!!! The bass sounds crisp and not muddy. The speakers give clear highs and lows and midrange. If your looking for a home theater set this is it! This is all you need. Great job Klipsch!

If you aren't looking to hear what you can't!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.PROS: 1) $100 (thanksgiving 2012) 2) Come with a separate sub-woofer, thus beating the Bose Companion 3 in many ways already 3) Big and heavy units, ensuring good magnets inside 4) Great appearance 5) stereo unit has a headphone jack output, and a line input, and volume control and bass control 6) Comes with rubberized isolation stickers (they are necessary as the stereo units come with a very sturdy but metal stand that can slide around easily 7) VERY long wires CONS: 1) The frequency response at decent volume goes from around 31 hz through 14 khz. While that would cover most needs, it does leave a little room for those who are seeking VERY deep notes and VERY high notes to be reproduced. Don't buy if you are working with sounds lower than 31 hz or higher than 14khz But for this price, it is a steal. It replaced my Bose Companion 2 series 1 two-speaker unit which sounded great, but gave an impression that the sound isn't wide enough and is coming from a small hole. These Klipsch sound wide, and open, and crisp.

whoa
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought these speakers about two weeks ago and I have been extremely satisfied with the entire process. I bought them on sale for a very reasonable price. They were at my door within a week of placing the order. They are a cinch to set up; there are no complicated instructions and it plugs right into the headphone jack of any laptop, iPod, or TV. Also, EVERYTHING sounds good on them. From Gaga to Mozart! One warning: these may not be good for second story apartments. I have been told that the sub-woofer can be heard through my floor. My building is extremely soundproof, so this is quite an accomplishment. BUT the sub level can be controlled so it hasn't been an issue. One complaint: They are not as sleek as would be ideal. The sub is kinda bulky and the satellites are bigger than most I think. However, I knew this was the case when i bought them, so no worries!

Great Set Of Computer Speakers
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I just purchased these speakers for my desk top computer on sale at Best Buy, Rt. 22 W. Union, NJ on Saturday, 6/26/10. I did my research on these and truth be told- they are simply amazing. The sound is incredible between the midds, highs, and lows. All of which are very crisp and clear. These speakers are the best for any real music, movie, or game lover. After I set these speakers up played my first music compact disc I was blown away with the sound of the sub woofer and the speakers. Being a musician, (Drummer) I felt the attack of the bass drum so clear that I never felt with my old Harmon Kardon original desk top computer speakers. My old speakers are like toys compared to my new Klipsch-ProMedia 2.1 Speaker system. Just a note to who ever is thinking of getting a set of these- I highly encourage you to pick these. You will love them just like I do. I never heard of this company Kiipsch before. However, they have been around for about 60 years. Lastly, make sure when you set up the sub woofer. Place it under your desk as far back as possible. This will give you the best blend and sound. If you stand right next to it , you will hear of muffled, or boomy sound. Don't worry just sit at your desk or just move away and enjoy the pleasing sound experience. There is no need to crank the volume up on any of the speakers. For me, I do not like distortion. So check these speakers out. You will not be disappointed.

Great Sound and Power for the Price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My 10 year old Advent speakers finally bit the dust and I was in the market for some new computer speakers. I had read several reviews of the Klipshe and they were overall positive but there were some concerns. 1. Durability 2. Popping in the highs and mids 3. Bass Distortion and boominess I can't speak to the first yet. I just bought them. For the second, I find the highs and mid really clear and crisp without popping or clicking. As for the third, i've found it's all about placement. If the subwoofer is placed near a wall and next to or inside of a desk, it's a bit boomy with some low level distortion. Pull it off the wall about 1.5-2 feet and move it around the room (away from the side of the desk) to the extent you can and you'll probably find a sweet spot that has a good balance between kick and resonance. All rooms are different of course but placement seems to be the key. Overall for the price, they are a great set of clear sounding really really loud speakers that can play a wide array of music and sound as close to actual loudspeakers run through an amp as you can get for computer speakers. Highly recommended.

Better than Bose!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Klipsch Promedia 2.1 speakers offer the truest audio reproduction within a large margin of their price range, and they blow the pants off any Bose system. If you are battling between this system and any of the Bose Companion sets, take into consideration that none of the Bose sets have tweeters, only full-range speakers and a woofer. What do tweeters do? Sizzle, cymbal splash, open-air sounds, and sparkle. Hearing the Klipsch set is like hearing real instruments. Not that Bose sets are bad, but most consumers tend to think they are the cream of the crop, while audiophiles have known for years they are only the most cleverly marketed speakers. The Bose low-end reproduction has nothing on Klipsch either, which will render some of the richest bass sounds you have ever FELT. You cannot go wrong with these speakers for music, movies, home theater, or any consumer application.

Hopefully you don't live in an apartment complex..
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review....because these M-Fers are POWERFUL. I literally have to keep the bass on the lowest possible setting because they BOOM the room and I'm sure it annoys the neighbors. With that said - These speakers are FANTASTIC. The sound, not just the bass, is absolutely top-notch. Blew me away. Worth every penny.

Best Speakers for the PRICE!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought these yesterday and can't get enough of them, I listen to music alot on my computer and these speakers are way clearer then my Altec speakers I got at wal-mart. The base bumps for days. When I first blasted my speakers my brother ran up the stairs and yelled at me because they were so loud he fell out of bed! haha. These speakers are definately worth the money crisp highs, crisp mids, and a deep base. Even when you turn it all the way up the music is clear. I love these and Klipsch is my new brand!

I just fell in love with music all over again.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I never, ever write reviews. Things are never THAT good for me to much less care about sharing the mediocrity with others. I had to change my ways... Just once. The sound on these things blew me away and continues to do so. Im a bit of a bass fanatic, being that I listen to alot of dubstep, dnb, house, and other electronic music that utilizes ALOT of heavy, hard hitting synths and bass lines... something most standard computer speakers fail horribly at reproducing. I did a double take the first time I heard just what exactly was coming out of my speakers. Then I got the biggest cheesiest grin on my face, and proceeded to jump around like a 4 year old girl in excitement. The sound is crystal, rich, and just plain f***ing awesome. I can't even reach halfway on the volume knob, and the subs are just a hair turned up, and Klipsch is putting my Bose home theater system to shame. Hands down... the absolute best $150 I have ever spent. Buy these, don't even think twice about it. You will NOT be disappointed. If so, someone has obviously cut your ears off, and I would suggest seeking medical attention soon.

I cannot imagine anything better!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought these about 3 1/2 years ago to go with my Imac. For 3 1/2 years I have been overly impressed with the sound quality coming from these speakers and woofer. I compared them to the Bose speakers that were around $350-$400 and they are just as good if not better. To get these on sale for $99 is a great deal. Get them and you will see the quality. They blow away $50-$100 speaker so don't waste your money on those. I am buying another set for my HDTV. They are that good!

Sweeet baby buddha!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These speakers are INSANE. On just 20 percent volume they are shakin the house. BTW if you like dubstep these are PERFECT. The bass is clean and heavy and fat. The sound quality is crystal clear. Its a whole side of music you have never heard before. 5 STARS NO DOUBT. The setup was so easy too. Just a couple plugs. Plus really long wires.
