Great audio for a great price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I normally do not write reviews, but I was so blown away by these speakers (no pun intended) that I felt obligated to. Whether you're listening to rock, pop, heavy metal, country, or dubstep, it all sounds great. The volume for my sub and the speakers are both about 1/4 of the way up, and it's loud. Klipsch is top of the line audio, and it shows in these speakers. For those who are frustrated with the durability of the speakers: Get Geek Squad Protection on these things! It's only $15 and it covers anything but accidental damage; speaker bow-outs are the most common issue, and that is covered. If you have any hesitation on getting these, don't. I would personally pay way more money for these and it is a steal for $155. You will not be disappointed.

Used as TV speakers
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had these speakers for over 4 years and they're still going strong. I'm not a huge audiophile, but these are the best 2.1 speakers I've heard. I will admit this is my 2nd set because my first set blew a fuse after two days (apparently you should not have a device plugged into the audio jack when you plug in the power cord) and you are unable to replace the fuse, at least on mine. I think there may be an older model that has an easy access to replace the fuse, but not on mine. I use these as my main TV speakers. The only drawback is you can't adjust to volume unless you get up and adjust it on the speaker. Since it plugs into the headphone jack in the tv the remote for the tv is useless in adjusting the volume. The speakers sound great and the bass is awesome. Crank it when watching a movie and you can feel the explosions. Love these speakers and would definitely recommend!

Don't doubt, just buy them and see for yourself!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I never write reviews, so this has to be a great product for me to spend time writing one. One of the best purchases for the money I have ever made. Sound quality and power is awesome, great bass. Use with pc listening to iTunes. Feel sorry for my wife listening to laptop or cheap desk speakers. If you are like me and want to research your big purchases to death, give up and get these speakers. You won't be disappointed. I paid $149 so $119 is a deal. I'm thinking of excuses to buy another set, in case these are ever discontinued or for future gifts. Would even be great with a television.

Awesome sound
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought two of these, one for my computer, and one to hook up to the main TV via an Onkyo receiver to replace two Polk floor standing speakers. I could not be happier. The sound is incredible, as vocals, music, and bass above say 50hz is clear and precise (at least to my ears). For the TV, I hooked these up to the headphone jack of the Onkyo receiver. Immediate upgrade on the sound while still being able to use the HDMI switching and upconversion. The sub is good to great and can get overpowering if you turn up its volume control past about 33% and can distort if above that. If you adjust the volume of it to your room and location however, it's pretty sweet. Will it be the best sub? No. But I would say that if you compare it to any powered sub under $200, you can't go wrong. Others may be able to go lower in Hz, but won't sound nearly as good. Granted, that may be due to the matched speakers, but still. As far as computer speakers and video games? Well, phenomenal as well. The stereo imaging is impressive, sounds are clear and precise, and Borderlands sounds great. What more can I say? Buy them!!

AWESOME!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I read many reviews before buying these speakers. I was very pleasantly surprised at what i found. These speakers sound awesome. They are beautiful to look at and they are well built. Some reviewers complained about distortion and rumble in the bass and I did find this to be true, BUT after careful listening, I found that WHAT you play through these speakers makes all the difference. MOST things played through these speakers sound amazingly clear. YOU CAN HEAR AND FEEL THE LOW END RUMBLE OF THE BASS AND EXPPLOSIONS !! Don't think twice. BUY these speakers. YOU WON'T BE SORRY!

Unbelievable sound from a compact & simple system
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I rarely splurge on something that I don't technically "need" , but because this system was on sale at just under $100, and the reviews were very positive, I figured I'd take the plunge. I've got to say that this was an impulse buy that worked out really well ! The sound is simply amazing, and completely blew me away -- even with my expectations already fairly high from the reviews. I would very highly recommend this system based on it's value (I know $100 isn't cheap, but you gotta hear this thing!) it's rich and balanced detail, and lastly, it's room-filling bass (punchy, but in a good tight-way ; not sloppy). Very impressed. Job well done Klipsch !

Breathtaking Sound
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Breathtaking audio quality. I have never heard this kind of quality out of a speaker system that cost less than $500. I replaced my JBL creature's with these, and now feel I wasted my money on those JBL's. These were Very clear crisp with more bass than you will know what to do with. Do not waste your time BUY these. I have owned Altec's, JBL, Yamaha, Logitech, and even Bose computer speakers. I can say I would take these hands down! I would even pay more now knowing the quality!

Great sound, great price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These particular speakers have been around for years and there is a reason for that - they are superb! I worked as the Personal Computers/Home Office supervisor some time ago at Best Buy. I had plenty of time to compare and test out the speakers we sold. These speakers were by far the best and the only thing that ever came close were the higher-end Bose companion speakers priced around $350. For some reason though, Best Buy rarely has them in stock. It was the same way for all the stores within my territory.

Great Bang For Your Buck!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am VERY happy with these. Great sound! I am not a true audiophile, but I appreciate clear sound with just the right amount of bass to give it some depth. I bought these for use in my home office because I enjoy listening to music sometimes while I work and I was tired of using earbuds. These are very clear and have plenty of power (have not turned them up all the way yet though). The sub is not too big and the speakers are not distracting (flat black). The difference in these and other cheaper speakers is night and day. But, I don't know how much better you can get with a more expensive set (diminishing returns, if that makes sense?). These are definitely a safe bet if you are looking for a really good set of speakers.

Awesome, just awesome
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you want amazing sound, the best bang for your buck, and a reliable reputable company, stop comparing and buy these if your in the market for speakers for your computer. From the second you turn them on, to the moment you crank them up, you'll be very surprised at the sound that comes from these speakers. I have them hooked up to a 2012 iMac and they far exceeded my expectations. Nice highs, and the subwoofer is is tuned perfectly,

Best 2.1 System Ever
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this many (5 to 8?) years ago when they were at the $300 price point. BB had it set up with a bunch of other speakers for side-by-side comparison and I fell in love. The price tag hurt a little bit, but the sound to me was worth it. I've yet to find another 2.1 setup that sounds better (and some of my friends' home theater systems can't compete!) The bass is amazingly smooth, even with the sub dialed at 20%. The speakers do color the sound a bit, but in a very good way (lots of clarity too). For under $100, I don't see why BB stocks anything else. BUY IT NOW!

Great for price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have used 300 dollar Bose speakers for my laptop external speakers for 1 semester, not even, and they sounded like 50 logitec pieces of junk. After blowing up the Bose speakers one night I got online and looked at these Klipsch which I had wanted for quite some time. After purchasing I quickly ripped the Bose out and will probably make target practice of them, as they sit in the garage, and installed the Klipsch. These are HALF the price of the Bose and the sound quality insanely exceeds the Bose, the highs are high, the lows are low, to the point some songs I never knew had such highs and lows. Highly recommend to anyone in the market for good speakers that are willing to pay a nice price but don't want to drop 300 dollars.

The best computer speakers for under $200
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The in-store display for all computer speakers was out of commission, so I purchased these because they were on sale and the majority of the reviews are favorable. When I first plugged these in and fired up iTunes, I was disappointed. But after messing around, finding the right EQ settings and the 'sweet spot' for both the bass and volume knobs, I'm happy with my purchase. I live in an apartment and am actually considerate to my neighbors, so deep booming bass isn't exactly a selling point to me as much as crisp highs (I want something I can listen to at a moderate-to-low volume but still HEAR the music, if that makes sense). The sub is impressive. I have mine turned mostly down (about where 10 would be on a clock) and with iTunes all the way up and my Mac's volume at three, you can cleanly hear the bass throughout my whole apartment (sorry, neighbors!). These speakers come with removable shields, and I've found that the shields severely hamper them - which is probably why in every picture, including the packaging, they're shown without the shields on. Considering the price range they're in, they're great, but overall I'd say this speaker set is okay. It's hard to recommend something like this to a broad audience because there's many variables here - the acoustics of a room, for example, can make or break the overall sound of a system - but they're definitely worth your consideration.

Awesome speakers!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The speaker system creates crisp and clear sounds. The sub produces a base sound that blew my sons away! They couldn't believe the sound. The only problem that I have is that there is no power button. I leave my pc on most of the time so I have the green light that as bright as a night light on all the time. I wish I could turn the speakers on an off without having to unplug them from the power strip which is buried under my desk along the wall and very difficult to access. Even if you unplug the speakers from the pc, the green light shines on.

Excellent sound clarity, deep bass.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I just installed this system about a half hour ago, and have just completed making the test rounds with it. I must say, I am extremely impressed with the capabilities of this product. It's highly comparable to other brands of the same quality, but for a much more reasonable price. I find it surprising that some people rate the Value for Price lower than anything but a 5! Completely satisfied, with the only piece missing being how long the sub will last now that I'll be using it constantly ;)

Wowzers...
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These speakers were hands down the best in it's class plus even better than speakers above its class to a certain extent. Bass is super clean, VERY DEEP. Reminds me of my car stereo subwoofers when I was in high school. Anyways, I picked it up for $99 bucks a few months ago. I couldn't believe the price! I should have bought 4-5 more of these for each room in the house + the garage. This is a real subwoofer, not a fake one like other companies make. Bought one by Logitech one time, and when it blew up, I took it apart, and the subwoofer size was misleading. It had a fake circle shaped into a sub shape. The speaker was actually half the size inside the cube. Go figure. One annoying thing is, it doesn't have a power button. It's always on, and I'm too lazy to unplug it. A bit annoying but I can live with it.

Unparalleled value in terms of bang for buck
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had some decent and even what I called "good" speakers for the computer in the past few years, but nothing like this. Once upon a time years ago I worked in an audiophile shop and developed a very critical listening ear. Given the size and price and quality of media on the computer, I've not expected to be overly impressed, so I've been satisfied with "being satisfied." That has changed. The bass is strong--very tight and truly hammers the floor. The mid-range and highs have a smooth fullness without any noticeable spikes when listened with flat EQ settings. With these speakers, the EQ adjustments actually make the kind of subtle changes one hopes to hear when making adjustments. I hope these stay available. The only thing I've noticed about really great stuff like this is that they don't stay on the market very long--a mystery. Maybe it's really too good to be true!

Excellent speakers for price point
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I thought I should right a review for something after reading so many reviews on line.... Pros-For the money, these are pretty awesome speakers. I listen to a variety of music and these perform good for all types. The best thing I like is that their good sound shines through at low volumes, which is handy when the family is trying to sleep. They can produce an incredible amount of volume also. At loud volumes they sound really good too. Cons-The subwoofer distorts if turned up too loud or on certain music. I actually returned my first set of these because the subwoofer ended up getting blown(I think-it sounded distorted even at low volumes). I took them back to best buy and they returned them for a brand new set with no issues. On my new set, I am just careful not to have the sub up too loud on certain music and have had no issues yet. Another con is their is no power on/off button. I leave mine on all the time and hope that is ok on them. Overall though, for the price I don't think you could probably buy a better set of pc speakers and I would purchase again.

Awesome Sound....from a computer
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These speakers offer the best sound I've ever heard coming from a computer....better than a set of Bose speakers. For the price the price these sound quality can not be beat. I wish they had a power on/off button...they are powered on all the time unless you pull the plug or connect them to a power strip. The headphone jack is mounted on the side and hard to access if you place the speakers in cubby holes. The Pros far out weigh the cons.
