Great sounding speakers

Overall this speaker system sounds great, good bass ,good highs. it is however big and bulky for computer speakers. The annoying thing about this system is you have to power it on/off at the subwoofer so your always reaching down behind the sub trying to find the little switch. But the sound is worth the downsides.

I play my movies with the voice low and I put the speakers close to me so when the special effects like explosions happen I can hear it but its not too loud to cause problems but loud enough to her the explosions and special effects in a movie so far I have not heard any distortion maybe cause I don't blast them I do keep them loud enough and I have a rug folded in half under the sub woofer so the sound don't vibrate on my wood floor im very surprised for only 130 dollar u get such a good quality sound I connect my computer to my tv and these speakers to my computer fantastic my room does vibrate some what but next room over is fine very good for movies

Ive had my speakers for almost a year now.......and nothing whats so ever has gone wrong....there still clear as can be and the bass is seriously low and deep!!!!!!! I like to listen to really loud music which usually results in the speakers blowing but so far these are working just great......the sounds incredible for the price and having owned BOSE computer speakers these seriously sound better. Plus they are THX certified!! But anyway for the price these are pretty descent.

Top Notch Speakers for the Price

Below is my story. Here is my review. These are great speakers for the price. You have control over the bass next to the main volume, and the bass works very well. I love the high and mid on these. I have a very keen ear for a good pair of speakers, and these are one of the few I would actually recommend to someone else. These surpass Logitec any day!
My previous speakers, a Boston 2.1 set, were superb. I loved them so much. But I was borrowing them from a friend until he found a new house. So when I went searching for a new pair, I wanted to by ones that were made by a speaker company. I didn't want to by from someone like Logitec, for all they're good for is mice. Then I looked up Klipsch, and found these speakers. There were some bad reviews, but there is
ALWAYS A FEW BAD UNITS
DON'T TRUST THESE REVIEWS!!!!!
So I bought these.

BETTER THAN BOSE!

This is my first review but I had to share this. I bought the bose companion 20 and spent a hundred dollars more looking for the best. and i was so disappointed I took them back the very next day. I bought the klipsh 2.1 and on the first song heard the difference. They are louder and more clear at those volumes. the bass is much better too. and you have full control over the bass volume as well. Having the seperate sub made all the diiference.

I have had these for over 2 years.. I have also had more expensive and these are the best bang for the buck. They thump almost as loud as my home stereo and the clarity is awsome. I have the lifetime warranty (highly recommended) and am currently on my 3rd set. They have the amp inside the woofer box and it generates alot of heat. Especially when you have 'em cranked. . They sound really put a cheap fan somewhere to draw air, so put it somewhere that is not hot.
Add some high quality headphones and your ears will bleed. Oh yeah, put in a THX movie and the sound will blow you away.

I paid $138 on an "open box" set.
I set up and placed them how i wanted in my bedroom...I plugged and played...I got nice DEEP bass...along with crisp & clear satellites...what else is there to say...you tune in your style of music with the Subwoofer, Main Volume & PC Volume..and presto!
Im really pleased...
I bang out EDM "Electronic Dance Music" most of the time and as im walking back to my room when i have it tuned up, it almost feels like im walking up to a stage at a festival!
Im pretty sure most of you would be happy with this set...if not just return them within the 30days.. and search for something else...
all the best, try them, hear and feel for yourself.

I looked at the Klipsch ProMedia 2.1 speakers a few years ago and decided that I couldn't justify the cost. But when Best Buy had them on sale recently and my daughter wanted a better pair of speakers for her computer, I took advantage of the opportunity. She got my old Logitech Z4 speakers and I got the new Klipsch speakers. The difference is phenomenal.
With the Z4s (which I really liked), I had to make adjustments using my sound card's software to produce the quality of sound I wanted. I quickly discovered with the ProMeida 2.1 system that none of that was necessary. The quality of the sound is fantastic with no software enhancing whatsoever. I also learned how bass should really sound.
This is a terrific speaker system for gaming, and it's even better for music. I love it.

The Best 3 Pc. System Out There

I have had these speakers for about 5 yrs. I honestly believe these could be used for a home entertainment system, they are that good, strong solid bass, the woofer is very heavy, best PC speakers, including a lot of bookshelf speakers, I have ever heard. You will have to look real hard to find a better set of speakers. Built very solid, not like most other plastic lite weights. You WILL be satisfied.

This set sounds and looks amazing! The satellite speakers have a great weight and feel to them! The sub takes up a bit of room, however the sound is awesome. I keep mine at the recommended setting and it makes everything sound great! If you are looking for amazing sounding speakers that won't break the bank go to best buy and have a listen. You won't find a better sounding set there!

I just picked these up yesterday, and I already am in love with them. Definitely worth the money. First thing i noticed was the power they had. I ended up turning down my computer's volume down to one fourth, because my on board sound is really bad, and has a bit of a buzz when set to higher levels, and the speakers are still more than loud enough. Also, the bass is a bit undefined and rumbly, but not really that bad. This may be because they are in a smaller room than they may have been intended, but I'm not really sure. I turned down the bass just a tad to adjust this, and now they are perfect. The speakers are extremely well balanced, in my opinion, and, in my opinion, powerful enough to suit almost anyone's needs. Recommend to a friend? soooo very much!!

Best 2.1 system out there

I heard great reviews about these speakers so I had to purchase them for myself. Wow, I was completely blown away, great sound clarity through the satellite speakers and the subwoofer was amazing. I could crank the sub all the way without any distortion or feedback. Everything was easy to set up and the construction of the satellite speakers is pretty sturdy thanks to their metal base. The sound quality seems like it gets better as you crank up the volume! Unbelievable sound quality for the price and in my opinion is better than the bose 2.1's who don't come with a subwoofer. My friend owns an altec lansing 2.1 system and this one blows it out of the water. If you've got an extra 150 bucks I suggest you purchase these, you won't be disappointed.

I have limited space in my home office (man cave) for a bigger TV speaker system so I got these, plugged them into my headphone jack on my 49" flat screen. WOW, just as good or better than my LG bar/sub-woofer set up in my den. Thumping base, crystal clear highs and mids, these puppies ROCK my 12' x 12' room!!!
Being a live band sound guy I have 0 complaints on these.

I first tried the Bose Companion 2 and was very disappointed with the sound they produced. Klipsch beat out Bose for the better product here, hands down! The speakers cost an additional $65 more than the Bose, but I'd make the same decision again in a heartbeat. I have only had $20-$30 computer speakers my entire life and this was a big leap for me. Given the digital age and my recent project to convert my collection to digital format, I wanted quality speakers. I tried them out in the store and I knew right away I had to have them. Great sound, great bass.....you won't be disappointed!
