I bought these last year and ABSOLUTELY love them. I had tried the bose system at 300$ and these. The bose sounded good, but at half the price and better sound quality these klipsch 2.1's were the only way to go.Crisp highs and deep lows ( which i have NEVER needed to go past the recommended setting). I'am big on sound quality and these 2.1's are up for the task.....

My previous set up was a 2.0 system, which had good sound but was missing something. Bought this after I started to hear some cracking from the speakers. Once I logged into battlefield 3 on my computer and heard the first up close grenade explode, I WAS HOOKED. The deep base sounded amazing and these things get crazy loud. Very good speakers for the money.

Before I owned these speakers, I owned a pair that I purchased back in 2006 and the name brand on those speakers are Altec Lancing; these speakers are a tough act to follow, so I had to do a lot of looking. Klipsch has exceeded my expectations by blowing Altec out of the water. These Klipsch speakers are the best 2.1 speakers I have heard. Every thing that people have been reporting about the fact that they are very loud is true, and the clarity remains at high volume. There is one thing that for the life of me I don't understand: Why do the 2.1 speakers, not have a power button is beyond me.

I use my laptop on my 50+ inch LCD TV. I use them to stream music, Netflix, and for general web surfing. My laptop has THX certified sound and an app I can use to tweak the sound. I purchased these speakers instead of a sound bar because of the great reviews, as well as the sound I heard in the store. I can tell you, they are worth the money. The sound is just awesome all around. I like the crisp highs, and as for the lows, I can only turn up the bass knob a little before it is in perfect balance. These are no junk computer speakers, they are the real deal. Movies sound great, music is perfect, everything. I was hesitant to purchase a 2.1 setup because I always had 5.1 speakers in the past, but I can tell you it fills the room and so much more. I don't even push them too hard because I live in a apartment, I can't imagine if you had a bigger space to fill. I am so happy I purchased these! Worth every penny.

So good I bought them again!

I originally bought these speakers 5 years ago and have thoroughly enjoyed the sound at my desktop. A few months ago the subwoofer stopped working. It was not a blown fuse or something simple to fix. Being out of warranty, it was cheaper to buy a new system than to try and get it repaired. After looking at other options on the market, I came back to these again. There was nothing that they were lacking that I wish I could have done differently. The overall tone and balance of these is exceptional. I listen to hard rock, acoustic, blues an pop. They do NOT sound like weak, tinny PC speakers. These will turn your PC into a full-blown stereo system that easily fills my 12x12 office with sound. Powerful, balanced, great looking and great sound. I would absolutely recommend these after using them for years.

I ended up buying these speakers with a gift card I got for Christmas so I wasn't planning on buying these at first. I decided to go with these since I have a Klipsh 2.1system (CS-700) which I use for my TV in my apartment. I have to say I am beyond happy with these speakers. These speakers provide great bass but can be adjusted to your own preference since there is a bass control on the speakers. I find myself watching a lot more movies on my computer since I want to enjoy and hear these speakers. Out of all the electronic items I have ever bought, I must say that this is one of the best purchases for the price! You need to pick this up!

    GREAT SPEAKERS...poor hardware quality :(

I had these speakers back in 2008. They survived many moves, but by the summer of 2010, the audio input jack shorted out (I had to bend the wire a special way for the sound to work), AND the left speaker burnt out :( Seriously, despite knowing that the parts ware out, I am thinking about getting these speakers again because, for the money, NOTHING COMPARES. I currently have a Logitech surround system, but I only use the two front speakers and the woofer overpowers the music sometimes. Being that I cant afford a Bose system now, I am thinking about returning my current system and buying these again...they are THAT GREAT. The sound quality/balance is awesome and it gets SOOO LOUD :D I will be sure to ask about an extended warranty through BB (longer that 1 year).

My first impression after hooking up these speakers is WOW!!. i thought i was going to blast my windows out. i had put the main volume at half way before loading Pandora. now i am no higher than 1/4th of the way up. these are incredible. if the computer speakers are this good i think my home stereo needs an upgrade too....

    OUTSTANDING SPEAKER SYSTEM

I purchased KLIPSCH speaker system for my computer on July 2012. I have used it everyday to listen music while working and at night watch movies. The sound is spectacular. Bass, Middle Range and Treble are performed flawlessly. You will not regret it if you buy this system. The only drawback is that it does not have a separate switch to turn it off but, I have purchase a Belkin Conserve Switch Surge Protector for my entire computer system and now I can turn it off with this wireless remote control.

    Great Speakers, Excellent Quality

This 2.1 system is amazing! It gives out great sound for a good price. The only really downside to these speakers are that they are kind of bulky and big and the on/off switch which is located on the subwoofer. I leave mine on the floor so it's a pain to reach to is a lot, so I normally just leave it on all the time. When I bought them, the Best Buy sales rep. warned my Mom about how loud they are, and I can tell you that they are LOUD. They come with a headphone jack so you can plug them right into your computer which is great, easy, and simple to use. I've even plugged them into my TV and it brings the sound quality up much better than the speakers on our Samsung 46" LCD TV. They may be a bit pricey, but definitely worth it. Buy these speakers if you want great sound hitting your ears.

Man these speakers are so great I wish I could put this in my living room. The bass is clear and deep I plug up my ipod easily to the speaker and let it bang in my room. I mean this thing is great. If you have an apartment the bass could make your neighbors mad cause I play mine in my room upstairs and the bass thumps through the house so clean. Excellent for music or anything else you wanna hook up and play. Sub back does get hot but so what. Easy to hook-up, easy to use, easy to enjoy. Only bad is power button being on back of sub so hard to get to (depending on where you place it) if you cut the speakers off and on alot.

If you like high quality sound, lots of power, and a good sub what are you waiting for? While they are not cheap you are paying for speakers made by a company that specializes in sound. Logitech doesn't have anything on Klipsch.

    Phenomenal Speakers

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

Okay, cons first. When I decided on these speakers while researching online, I thought they were much smaller than they are. When I went to check them out at Best Buy, they were much larger and heavier than I expected. Each speaker is 8.5" tall. That said, I still bought them and am very glad I did. These speakers really have phenomenal sound. I bought them because I already owned a pair of Klipsch Image S4 headphones, and have always loved the sound of those. I consider myself a mid-level audiophile, and my musical tastes are based much more on audio quality than musical style. To test these speakers, I listened to each song on this list (among others), and found every song to be crystal clear: http://www.autoblog.com/2010/09/24/audio-engineer-lists-top-10-songs-to-test-a-car-stereo/ In case that link stops working, here's a list of the songs: 1. "Don't Know Why" - Norah Jones 2. "Diamonds and Rust" - Joan Baez 3. "No One" - Alicia Keys 4. "Hotel California" - The Eagles (I listened to both the album and live versions) 5. Boom Boom Pow" - The Black Eyed Peas 6. "Rock That Body" - The Black Eyed Peas 7. "Hide and Seek" - Imogen Heap 8. "He Mele No Lilo" - Lilo & Stitch 9. "Bird on a Wire" - Johnny Cash (I also like "I Hung My Head" on these speakers) 10. "Packt Like Sardines in a Crushd Tin Box" - Radiohead

    Great sound

Works great and I love the sound. Shakes the whole house with the volume at a pretty low setting. The only drawback I have found is the location of the power switch. It's on the back of the subwoofer (no, you can't just keep turning the volume down until it clicks off). If you are anything like me you would probably put the sub under the computer desk or in a more remote location. I thought maybe it had an auto-off function like my main stereo's sub does but no dice. I got up this morning and the power light was on and the back of the sub was pretty warm. Best choice is to plug it into a readily-accessible power strip with a switch. Otherwise you either have to reach around the back of the sub every time you shut down or just leave it on and let it suck power.

Speakers absolutely blow me away, subwoofer sounds amazing! Great all around audio, I use them for music and gaming mostly. Sounds great for both. I got these on bestbuy.com on Cyber Monday, for $101, cannot beat that price for the money, i was already planning on spending full price for them, then i seen the deal come up and couldn't turn it down. You will not be disappointed in this product. Klipsch does not disappoint!

Great speakers, they have plenty of power, I can only turn them up about %25 without blowing my ear drums out. They have a nice clean crisp sound and plenty of bass for anyone. You can tell they are well built and I'm pretty confident they will last for quite a while. Really like the headphone jack on the side of the speaker. A little more than I wanted to spend for computer speakers, but I think they're worth it.

Great speakers for games and movies

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I purchased these speakers recently for playing games and movies, with some light music listening in mind. These speakers are absolutely great for gaming. Great lower bass range and volume. The mid-range and highs sound good, for the most part they have some crispness to them with a little thump here and there. You may want to adjust these when you get them if you sit low at your desk. My head ends up being about 12 inches below the aim of the mid and tweet and its a very notable difference with your ears not in their direct aim. For music they are ok, I have to change the EQ a lot when changing music types to get a better sound out of them, so you may want to set up some predefined ones, if you are not using other equipment etc. I have my Sennheiser headphones for music though. These are the speakers you want though if you are looking for a inexpensive powerful 2.1 setup to reproduce all the gunfire, explosions, and dragon killing. Games I play, SC, D3, BF3, Crysis, Witcher, Metro, etc. All of them have sounded great so far and I am very happy I purchased these.

Don't get me wrong, it has great sound and the sub hits much harder than my last one I've had over 5 years old that I only spent only $40 on. However, I was picturing in my head "stunning" sound after reading all the positive reviews. The sound is good, but not stunning. It's better than my last setup (20 watt sub with 5 satellites) but not by leaps and bounds. I would have just saved my money and kept my old ones if I knew. Still great speakers though, can't go wrong with them.
