    Best Computer Speakers Ever

Picked these up yesterday. I have owned many sets of computer speakers over the last 20+ years. These are easily the best my ears have had the pleasure of listening to. Currently playing Chicago IX: Greatest Hits, which provides a real workout for the sound system. Crisp highs, clear mid-range and deep base. Hard to believe speakers can sound this good at this price. The sound they reproduce will not not disappoint.

    Super Sound!

I bought these speakers to replace an Altec Lansing set I have been using for nearly 7 years. Boy what a difference! I was unhappy with my Altec set making a humming noice when my PC was in sleep mode and I was also unhappy that background noice would come from the desk speakers. This Klipsch 2.1 set has none of those problems. It is completely quiet when your computer goes to sleep and produces AMAZING sound when you are gaming or watching a movie. I like the fact that I don't have to adjust my sound up and down now when a movie is playing. You will not go wrong getting yourself this speaker set.

    Excellent 2.1 system

These are the best PC speakers I have owned, replaced my logitech 5.1 system with these and these blow them away. Only use about 25% of the power, definitely loud when turned up. Great, crisp sound and nice bass. The only negative is the power button at the back of the sub woofer, not sure why they designed it like that. Still doesn't take away from the great speakers though. If you are looking for a great system and don't mind spending a little more, get these. Stay away from the overpriced and over hyped Bose systems that are all marketing hype. There is a reason why you will not find a THX certified bose system.

It's a long way from Hope, Arkansas to China...

Now a subsidiary of a huge electronics holding company, this is not the birch plywood, built in Hope, Arkansas by Paul W. Klipsch product I grew up with, although I think some of those speakers still exist. Made in China, this is a well designed system executed on the cheap. MDF subwoofer cabinet with vinyl wrap and plastic housings on the satellite speakers do nothing for the sound quality and would have Paul rolling over in his grave, but given the lowly computer-use mission, I have to say I was pleased enough. They arrived well packed for round-the-world shipping and look reasonably well assembled. Bass extension on the 6.5 inch ported subwoofer is good--so much that I turned the woofer down from its recommended starting setting. Stereo imaging is weak from the satellite speakers, however. which don't sound all that great on their own--but no worse than expected. Unfortunately, after about 20 minutes of normal play at low and moderate volumes, the amplifier started cutting out...first a couple of times over a few minutes, then the left channel went out, and finally, the right channel died. Through process of elimination, we determined that the computer's sound card is fine, and the connecting cable from computer to subwoofer is fine, since headphones could still be used through the jack that is built in to the satellites, leaving something internal in the subwoofer to blame. I am taking this product back to the store, but with fingers crossed I will try another set because I think this is about as good as it gets for a THX 2.1 system. I will re-post a new review on the replacement set very soon.

So I got these speakers today and I must say I really love them the Sound is to good. I tried them in Best Buy but they sound better at home. The only small complaint I got was i has to rearange part of my desk so I couls fit them on it. But other then that , no problems. So what I am saying is get these if your a Gamer, watch Movies, or just love Music. It really is the best one I have ever own.

    Was great... While it lasted.

Plain and simple, these speakers sound great. They hit fairly hard at low frequencies. The only problem I had with these is about after 6 months, one of the speakers blew. Mind you I had my volume on my PC at around 60 and the speaker's volume control was roughly the same, never maxed out. I was quite disappointed by the durability of the product given the Klipsch name tag.

    Outstanding Sound

I was blown out of the water with this new computer sound system from the second I turned it on. I love my music but needed more sound than what I've been getting from BOSE for years. That's when I tested it out this system at the store and was convinced it had the better sound with a woofer. I barely have to turn it up to get great sound. I'll never go back to the BOSE companions.

Having owned large Klipsch speakers for years now for my 5.1 setup in the living room I've grown accustomed to their great sound. I was hoping these little guys would live up to my expectations and so far they definitely have. The only negative here, and this sure isn't Klipsch's fault, is that they sound so good and clear that it makes it much easier to hear the digital compression in the streaming radio stations I listen to a lot. This is something I've had to put up with in every instance where I've upgraded a sound system. The only thing left at this point is to see how they hold up over time so.

    Sound Card Makes the Difference

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

When I purchased this speaker system I was sceptical about how they would sound . Several reviewers complained that they were too bassy or tubby sounding. I tested the speakers on two different computers. One had integrated sound (on the motherboard) and the other had a Creative Sound X-fy sound card. On the computer with the integrated sound, the speakers were very bassy, even after turning the bass volume all the way down. On the other hand, the speakers sounded awesome on the computer with the Creative sound card! In conclusion, if the speakers sound bad, upgrade your sound card and you will be astonished by how great they really sound. The only con is that they are pricey. I guess you get what you pay for.

Everything about this system is fantastic. I just picked these up from Best Buy about an hour ago. It's great that they come with everything you need to get them setup very quickly and no instillation is necessary, just plug & listen to the phenomenal sound!! Way to go Klipsch!! Very good investment.

I was dreading having to replace my Harmon Kardon computer speakers. They're a great brand and the speakers sounded unbeatable - so I thought. Best Buy had a sale on these Klipsch speakers, and I'm really glad I got them. They sound better than my HK speakers! I'm very pleased with the sound quality. BTW - I noted the footprint as a negative, but that's really just because the review asked for one and they take up more desk space than my HK speakers.

    Almost Perfect

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

As other reviews have stated, this is a great system to complement a computer set-up. The bass is strong and tight for the size and the sound is deceptively loud given how compact the system is. However, the mid and high frequency range were some-what disappointing given the famous Klipsch horn configuration (in this case, Micro-Tractrix). The treble from the poly tweeter just doesn't have that wide dispersion that Klipsch is known for. Hence, the sound-stage is not as deep or enveloping particularly when it comes to movies. As many have stated, the power-on switch on the back of the sub-woofer (assuming most folks keep the sub-woofer on the floor) is rather inconvenient. Good, strong, decently, full-quality sound but not quite "audiophile" as hoped for but then again, I'm benchmarking against my Infinity and JBL Studio Monitors (from that perspective, maybe not a fair comparison for a computer system).

These are amazing! They get loud, sound amazing and manages to grab some of the lows quite well! I have only owned these for a couple of weeks now, but have been extremely happy with them to this point! I have owned many PC speaker systems, and these are one of the better sounding systems so far!

I'm not an audiophile, but the sound quality from the speakers are pretty impressive. I waited for the sale before making the purchase. It's still pricey but worth it. I'm back to watching movies on my desktop again thanks to my new Klipsch speaker system.
