I really enjoy my Klipsch bookshelf by itself and wanted to add Klipsch Subwoofer to compliment the sound. On my first impression, when i pick it up, it wasnt heavy and its a large box. Then i set up my RCA cables to my Sony receiver STR-DH790. I played music (hip hop) crank the settings and was surprised to hear the subwoofer maxed out. It wasn’t distorted at all. It was clear, loud, filling the room with a big boom, but it wasnt earth shattering loud. I was satisfied with the bass after making some adjustments. My expectations were too high. I was expecting to hit harder because of the size. Maybe i need to upgrade my reciever. Maybe i need more speakers. Overall it sound great.

Big improvements over the previous generation of reference subs. Digital amp, new speaker material, better cabinet. It’s good down to 28. Sadly doesn’t hit below that range, but good if you don’t need that.

Perhaps too powerful for my townhouse basement, but it works great!

Bought this 12" 400w Sub woofer to match my ensemble with Klipsch two tower speakers. Woofer is strong for the entire house, rumble to low bass, on music and watching Top Gun Maverick DVD movie on my surround Klipsch. I am very satisfied with my purchase.

What can I say? The title is self explanatory. I purchased this subwoofer when I upgraded our home theater system. Did I consult my wife? Nope. Does she love it? Ehhhhh... its a love hate situation. She loves the wall rattling effect when watching Maverick and it sounds like a Mach 10 test is happening directly over our home. Does she love it when trying to sleep? Absolutely not. Has she questioned her decision to marry me 16 years ago? Probably... but when our children would rather have a movie night at home than hang with their friends on the weekend, all is forgiven. Do yourself a favor and buy the subwoofer. Dont think, just do.

Awesome subwoofer! Produces some of the cleanest bass notes I've ever heard. I have 2 of these now with my 5.2.2 home theater setup. Definitely worth the buy.

Thing is a workhorse and hits LOW. My neighbors don't appreciate it. Amazing for a single 12. Simple to setup.. just keep the gain low till you have it balanced out.

This thing kicks! Our living room is about 600 square feet and this thing overpowers it like no other. We have to keep it below 25%.

Replaced an old subwoofer with this model and am very satisfied. Solid low end in a relatively compact size. Cross over provides good flexibility to blend with existing speakers.

Excellent quality and awesome sound. I added this sub to my Samsung soundbar/surround system and it’s truly an amazing setup for my home entertainment. Visitors are always amazed my the sound while watching movies or listening to music.

Very powerful bass with plenty of tweaking to suite your needs. Auto on feature is a tiny bit slow but really nit picking. I do wish it was front ported but that’s a personal preference. Typical of Klipsch it sounds and looks great

I was replacing a 10" Klipsch that I have had for about 20 years. I have a medium size space to fill and I was concerned about the potential of this subwoofer to overwhelm the space as i use it for both music and home theater. I was pleastnly suprised at how subtle and complementary this unit can be and how it can quickly flex to show its power during big scenes and cover low-end bass lines. For both performance and value, 6-stars if I could.
