I want a 2nd one
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So I have had to piece my system together (money restraints). I have four Klipsch R15M and a R25 center, and as nice as they sound I knew a needed some bass support. Saved my $$$, did some research and due to the goodluck I have had my other Klipsch speakers, I thought best to stay with the same brand. I am very pleased, my wife on the other hand says her insides are shaking all the time. Bottom line if you have a budget this speaker won't disappoint. As I type this I am trying to figure out how to convince my wife into the idea that we need a second sub.

Very nice sub for the $
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’m picky cause I once had the old large true DefTech super cube. This isnt that, but is by far the best sub in this price range or close. Clean sound, decent power, nice look, etc.

This Will Shake Your House
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Absolute powerhouse subwoofer. I have this hooked up to an Onkyo TX 7.2 receiver with a pair of Klipsch Reference floor speakers. If you set the crossover good and high on this bad boy, you won’t need to turn the volume up much past “1” to feel the boom. It’s the size of a kickdrum with twice the power. Love it.

Loud and deep bass
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This was a Christmas gift for my brother and sister-in-law. They had a 10 inch which died after a few years (the amp circuits fried) and 8 inch which died almost instantly. My brother studied and listened to this sub at the store and asked for this if someone bought this for him and his wife. I bought it on Cyber Monday so I got a real good deal on the price. It came within 5 days after placing the order. He texted me and said it was LOUD. When I went to his house to visit and hear the sub for myself, it was loud! The bass is pretty deep and I dare say it could possibly handle some of the 90's bass music. For rock music, it really fills that low end he was missing. Of course he has his stereo hooked up to his television and the surround sound now sounds awesome.

Great subwoofer
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this subwoofer as a black Friday deal because my old Sony subwoofer finally gave up the ghost (I think the amplifier went out). I spent a month without a subwoofer waiting for the sales to come out, and I will say I missed the rumble during shows and movies. After plugging in the subwoofer, I was initially disappointed with the level of base being produced. However, the longer I had it plugged in and sound going through, the happier I got. It was almost like the speaker had to work itself loose and break in little bit. Now I am back to having plenty of rumble while watching shows and movies. During music, the subwoofer keeps up well and compliments my speakers in providing a well rounded listening experience.

Rumble away
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This subwoofer was a great deal and I have two of them in the front for my home theatre. They produce a lot of good bass and they are sturdy like a rock. Impeccable build. Klipsch does it again!

Great sound
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This sub is pretty much perfect for my room and use. Plenty of bass, but not too much and not muddy sounding. I replaced a 10" budget sub with this and it's exactly what I was hoping for.

AWESOME BASS for the Money!
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have a pair of these and these subs ROCK THE HOUSE!!! I listen to all types of genres of music and very impressed with these subs. It took me a couple of times to find the "sweet spots" in my living room to place these bad boys due to it only having 3 walls and open to the dining area. I listen to lots of genres of music: Hip-Hop, Rock, Reggae, Dubstep, Blues, R&B, Rap, Afrobeat, Indian (raga) and House. -From everyone to Sade to Prince to Fela Kuti to Stevie Ray Vaughn to Earth, Wind & Fire to Phil Collins to Michael Jackson to Steel Pulse to Outkast to Goodie Mob to UGK to Elton John to Muddy Waters to BB King...I like all types of music!!! SURPRISINGLY the subs did well with all genres other than Rap/Trap music. I had to adjust the frequency and gain so the subs would not bottom out and distort greatly with all the bass from the tracks. They are loud, don't get me wrong, but Rap/Trap music does not do these subs justice. SIDE NOTE: I am running these subs on an older Teac AG 9260 amplifier with only one sub output in the rear so I had to by an RCA Y-splitter and 1 pair of Amazon Basics 1-Male to 2-Male RCA Audio Stereo Subwoofer Cables with no issues. I'm old school and have a PS3; the subs really enhance my playing experience. Once I upgrade to a PS4 I believe I will be just as satisfied! Watching movies is a thrill as well, sometimes I have to turn down the gain because it really makes you feel like you're in the helicopter or part of the car chase. OH! Watching Heat, Jason Bourne, John Wicke and Mission Impossible with the volume cranked up was freaking awesome!! I am very pleased!

Great sub for the money
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Have had this sub installed for a weeks now and am very pleased. I have it hooked to an Onkyo 676 receiver and it works great. Just make sure you have a high quality sub cable though, the cheap one (purple ends) I got at Best Buy had hum even though I had used on a Sony sub previously. Replacing with a higher quality shielded cable fixed the problem. Like other reviews this sub will shake your house so having less than half on the input control and tweaking the eqs on the AVR should help you get a very blended sound with your main speakers. Regular price is a little high so try to catch on sale. I was able to get an open box special at less than $200 but if you do that check to make sure it had a power cable as mine did not and I had to run back to Best Buy across town to get one.

Excellent sub.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love this sub. I caught it on a black friday deal and saved 100.00. This was a big step up from my F12. I have RP-280F fronts and RP-450C center and wanted to complete the set. When I first hooked it up I kept getting video distortion and interference . I went back to magnolia at best buy and the guys figured out it was drawing a lot more power than the sub before. The solution was to ground the sub with a Higher end cable with a ground. I didn't think buying 100 cable would make a difference but I bought the cable and went home to try. Best 100 cable I ever bought as soon as the ground was connected my sub came alive and all distortion stopped. Love this sub and I want to thank the Guys from best buy Magnolia in Naperville Illinois they were spot on and knowledgeable .

HITS THE LOWS
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Klipsch is the word. At $449 this sub was a little out of my price range but knew on black friday this would be 1/2 off and what a steal at $225 great sub very powerful makes my current Polk sub sound like garbage. Have to watch all my movies over again to get what I have been missing lows without drowning out shakes my whole house pictures falling off walls in rooms on the other side of my home

Awesome deal!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought one of these 50% off on pre Black Friday deal. Replaced a smaller 20year old sub. Wow what a difference! Much more punch. For subs, I believe size does matter. This is an excellent sub and an awesome value at $225!

Overall the R-120SW is amazing.
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall this subwoofer is amazing. I purchase this sub to replace a Polk Audio PSW108 that i purchased a couple months ago. There nothing mechanically wrong with the PSW108, it just wasn't loud enough. I definitely wish I would of just bought the R-120SW months ago instead. Now let me tell you why I say the R-120SW is amazing. - This sub can get loud, I mean VERY loud. (If you live in a apartment don't waste you time, It will be too loud for you. This sub shakes my house, you can feel the bass) - Not only can it get loud, but sound good at the same time. Sound quality is excellent. - The built quality is top notch. - The amplifier remains cool to the touch after long hours of playing at high volumes. - The sound complements Klipsch Floor Speakers very well. Everything I listed is what great about the sub. Let me list the cons I've noticed. - The auto-on function does not work very well. (There is a few seconds of delay before the sub starts to play. Polk Audio PSW108 was quicker.) - There is a slight hum/buzz that appears when you turn off your AV reciever. - The Gain knob is too sensitive.(The db increase is not consistent.) That pretty much sums up my review. I highly recommend this subwoofer. As a tip, give the sub about 10 hours of play time to get the full sound. The woofer is a bit stiff right out of the box.

Good for Large Rooms, great price.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This unit replaced an older Polk Audio 12" subwoofer that had 200 watts. the difference in sound between the two is remarkable. We have the volume turned about half way up on the subwoofer and are using an Onkyo NR-676 to handle the crossover. This subwoofer produces plenty of clean bass in a 20 x 20 room with vaulted ceilings. With the rear port design, this was actually a good bit smaller than the Polk it replaced which was front-ported.

Best Sub for Price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Hands down the best sub I’ve ever owned. I would recommend this sub to anybody. Watching movies are the best experience ever now !!!! The only one problem I have encountered was that when I start bumping up the volume my speakers start to out way the sub. Mind you the system is running soo loud that it’s Unbearable. I will definitely consider getting another one!!! You won’t regret this purchase !!

Good Performance for the price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was looking for something that gave good base with flexibility to adjust. This sub has the power to annoy the rest of the household but the flexibility to use the system in the early hours as well.

JUST GET IT. YOU WILL LOVE IT.
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had this for almost three years now. Still LOVE it.. Clean clear bass that fills the room with a great vibe. Better than most bars and some parties I have been too.. Makes it very difficult to go out when the sound at home is so great.. Encourages me to party at home.. Not sure if my neighbors like it.
