Love this sub. I caught it on a black friday deal and saved 100.00. This was a big step up from my F12. I have RP-280F fronts and RP-450C center and wanted to complete the set. When I first hooked it up I kept getting video distortion and interference . I went back to magnolia at best buy and the guys figured out it was drawing a lot more power than the sub before. The solution was to ground the sub with a Higher end cable with a ground. I didn't think buying 100 cable would make a difference but I bought the cable and went home to try. Best 100 cable I ever bought as soon as the ground was connected my sub came alive and all distortion stopped. Love this sub and I want to thank the Guys from best buy Magnolia in Naperville Illinois they were spot on and knowledgeable .

Klipsch is the word. At $449 this sub was a little out of my price range but knew on black friday this would be 1/2 off and what a steal at $225 great sub very powerful makes my current Polk sub sound like garbage. Have to watch all my movies over again to get what I have been missing lows without drowning out shakes my whole house pictures falling off walls in rooms on the other side of my home

Bought one of these 50% off on pre Black Friday deal. Replaced a smaller 20year old sub. Wow what a difference! Much more punch. For subs, I believe size does matter. This is an excellent sub and an awesome value at $225!

Overall this subwoofer is amazing. I purchase this sub to replace a Polk Audio PSW108 that i purchased a couple months ago. There nothing mechanically wrong with the PSW108, it just wasn't loud enough. I definitely wish I would of just bought the R-120SW months ago instead. Now let me tell you why I say the R-120SW is amazing. - This sub can get loud, I mean VERY loud. (If you live in a apartment don't waste you time, It will be too loud for you. This sub shakes my house, you can feel the bass) - Not only can it get loud, but sound good at the same time. Sound quality is excellent. - The built quality is top notch. - The amplifier remains cool to the touch after long hours of playing at high volumes. - The sound complements Klipsch Floor Speakers very well. Everything I listed is what great about the sub. Let me list the cons I've noticed. - The auto-on function does not work very well. (There is a few seconds of delay before the sub starts to play. Polk Audio PSW108 was quicker.) - There is a slight hum/buzz that appears when you turn off your AV reciever. - The Gain knob is too sensitive.(The db increase is not consistent.) That pretty much sums up my review. I highly recommend this subwoofer. As a tip, give the sub about 10 hours of play time to get the full sound. The woofer is a bit stiff right out of the box.

This unit replaced an older Polk Audio 12" subwoofer that had 200 watts. the difference in sound between the two is remarkable. We have the volume turned about half way up on the subwoofer and are using an Onkyo NR-676 to handle the crossover. This subwoofer produces plenty of clean bass in a 20 x 20 room with vaulted ceilings. With the rear port design, this was actually a good bit smaller than the Polk it replaced which was front-ported.

Hands down the best sub I’ve ever owned. I would recommend this sub to anybody. Watching movies are the best experience ever now !!!! The only one problem I have encountered was that when I start bumping up the volume my speakers start to out way the sub. Mind you the system is running soo loud that it’s Unbearable. I will definitely consider getting another one!!! You won’t regret this purchase !!

I was looking for something that gave good base with flexibility to adjust. This sub has the power to annoy the rest of the household but the flexibility to use the system in the early hours as well.

Wonderful low end, free of distortion. So much better than my old Bose speakers. Got it set up in a mid-size living room with a pair of JBL Century 100 front R & L & Polk rears & center channel. Really brings out the HDR in my 4K Sharp Class 55 Roku TV. Playing everything thru an Onkyo TX- NR696 TX 7.2 4K HDR receiver. Love feeling the bass notes rumble thru me. Clean & clear at any level! Wish i’d set up this Klipsch a long time ago. Got it in a corner, behind the cabinet with the receiver & other components & players. Amazing playing everything from opera to pop to classic country. Cream, Clapton, Eagles, Coldplay — to die for. Get this woofer & crank it up!! You won’t be sorry.

Seeing as I'm just getting into the speaker world I am very happy with this purchase. I have this subwoofer the Klipsch center speaker and four off brand speakers to complete the 5.1 surround. The base if powerful and adjusting the sub was simple. Watching movies and TV shows has been elevated to almost movie theater quality and I still need to add the towers. A good buy in my book.

It’s hard to buy speakers these days because not many brick and mortar retailers have sound rooms available like the days of circuit city. I am somewhat snobby when it comes to music and movies and this sub made the cut for me I probably wouldn’t pay full price but the half off deal was worth it so I bought 2 of them along with 2 R-820F’s and R52C I have them in a large room 18x20 and music sounds good and punchy. Movies rumble and go deep. I am pleased with them considering they are lower end subs they were worth it for me.

I have had this for almost three years now. Still LOVE it.. Clean clear bass that fills the room with a great vibe. Better than most bars and some parties I have been too.. Makes it very difficult to go out when the sound at home is so great.. Encourages me to party at home.. Not sure if my neighbors like it.

My first subwoofer I’m impressed this thing has more power then I need for my avr of 75 rms ,one thing I like is that I got the gain less then half power an it sounds great the bass is deep sounding I like music at low volumes an this sub sounds good even at a low volume . I do turn it up for movies and music still sounds good to me .this is my first active sub and I like it . I got it thinking I’d later in a few years upgrade to something better but after hearing it I’m sticking to it . I can’t say it’s the best because that I don’t know but I do think it would disappoint many people . JMO my reason for the four starts is because I have nothing to compare it to .

Excellent sound, clear as a movie theater. It goes off within minutes of having turned off the receiver. This Subwoofer makes the difference of sound and the best in price.

This is my 2nd 12" Klipsch sub. I bought one of these a year ago the r-120sw and when they went on sale I got the newest model the r-12sw, same thing. Sounds great, I hooked the first one to my 7.2 home theater system so I needed another sub for my stereo as I have a separate speaker system for that so I bought another Klipsch 12". It hits hard, I have it turned down so it doesn't drowned out the other speaker's.

Got this a week ago and it is amazing. It's a giant upgrade from my 8in Energy sub. Makes the whole first floor shake when watching a movie. No complaints yet.
