Pretty great pair of speakers. I had purchased them on sale so I thought, why not? Size wise, they were a bit large but no larger than other bookshelf speakers in its category. I'm not the most eloquent person, but I would say that the sounds of the speakers had plenty of clarity and was not muddied by the equally great bass. Pretty awesome pair for any fans of more colorful audio than the dry analytical sounds of more accurate ones. Would recommend a subwoofer though.

I purchased these R-51 M speakers as a rear channel for my home theater system. They are replacing my Bose Acoustimass 10 system. With only these connected and using the Klipsch RP-404C Center Channel, the sound is phenomenal. It's like I bought an entirely new system. There is a very noticeable sound quality difference. I'm running them through the Onkyo TX-NR656 amplifier. Also purchased at Best Buy. At this moment my sub and front speakers have not arrived. I purchased these through Best Buy's "open Box" program at a deep discount. They look and sound new. Keeping in mind I would have removed them from the box anyway to connect them. Best Buys loss is my gain, Thanks Best Buy. There is one drawback . Best Buy does not offer any reasonably priced speaker stand to match these speakers. Nor does Klipsch. I can live with that. I'm fairly handy so I will just make a custom set. This is necessary for my application. As stated these are my rear channel speakers. The connection is very simple. No degree needed. If you can screw a tire valve cap on, you can connect these with out difficulty. They weigh eleven pounds each. So rather than chance many of the stands offered and having my speakers crash to the floor I feel this to be my best option. Would I recommend these speakers? By all means. This is a reasonably priced, high quality addition most would be proud to have in their system. One final thought. Don't pass by those "open box" offers. You get good first quality at a reduced price when available.

I needed some speakers to use for rears that would somewhat match tonally with my Klipsch RP-150m fronts and RP-500C center. I was on a budget and got these for half price Black Friday. Timbre matching is not as critical for the rear speakers but these seem to be voiced similarly to the Reference Premiere line. Even when I listen to my SACDs in 5.1, the music pans from front to rear, the speakers blend in perfectly. Only complaint is on stock photos, there appears to be a keyhole on the back to hang the speakers on the wall. There is no keyhole on the back of the speakers so you have to come up with your own mounting method if you need to hang them. The magnetic grille covers are a nice touch that's rare in the price range. I appreciate the full size tweeter horn vs the smaller ones used on the previous R-15M, it really improved the tweeter dispersion. Really great speakers for the price that sound bigger than they are.

I got these half off during the Black Friday promotion. At half price they are an exceptional value. I personally bought two pair to use as side and rear surround speakers, in conjunction with higher grade Klipsch Reference Premier RP-250F front and RP-450C center speakers. They fill this role well, with very similar sound completing the sound stage for gaming and movies. I've also seen these demo'd in a store playing rock and roll tracks in a 2.1 configuration as primary front speakers along with a subwoofer. I was shocked at how much volume they put out into the large open space and sounded great paired with a sub. My only reservation is I will say Klipsch seem pretty directional. If I walk from my open concept living room into my kitchen, there is a change in the character of the sound once you aren't 'in the zone'. Your experience may vary depending on your room characteristics. The attached picture shows how their similar dimensions and design compares to the RP-250F.

Great speakers. I have these set up to use as primary’s for my Fluance RT-85 turntable. I went to my local goodwill and found and older Onkyo receiver for $15 that had phono output and hooked these up to it. Played the ol Elton John H. Chateau album and WOW I impressed with these speakers. They take what you throw at them clear, crisp and effortlessly. Crank up the volume?,sure why not. They don’t t blink an eye. Needless to say these are a definite buy if you’re in the market for really nice passive bookshelf speakers.

I pounced on these when they became available at a reduced price, so they sound even more sweet. The Klipsch R-52C has the same 1" horn tweeter and two 5.25" woofers, which create a seamless front soundstage in my wide but shallow entertainment space. I had been using 3 pairs of smaller speakers with a .75" tweeter and 4" woofers, with a matching center, for a 7.1 system. While they were great for separation, even with a subwoofer they lacked warmth and power. What the Klipsch front end changed for me was no longer having to ride the volume; smaller speakers with muddy dialog had forced me to crank it up, making explosions too loud. Now dialog is crisp, volume is set and forget, and I no longer feel like I'm missing any of the soundtrack. I'm using two pairs of non-matching smaller bookshelf speakers for side and back surrounds, but at least woofer size matches. In a small space like mine, floor-standing fronts would be too much.

So I received these last week, and I’m just now opening the box to realize it’s completely different from the picture than what I have. I mean it’s not really a big issue because I’m not one to mount stuff, but if you’re looking to, then I suggest looking somewhere else or deal with it. I’ll never go with anything else other than klipsch. It’s just super weird that the ones I received don’t have the mounting hole to it as the one in the picture. I put a picture from the Best Buy app to my picture to show you.

Powerhouse speakers. These things can pound but they are a little bigger than my other bookshelves but well worth it.

I bought a pair of other (unnamed) speakers from Amazon that had hundreds of 5-star reviews, but when I received mine they sounded terrible; muddy and flat. I know speakers well enough to know they weren't simply a faulty set of speakers, but rather hundreds of people out there have no concept of what true high-fidelity sounds like. After returning the terrible speakers I went to Best Buy and bought these amazing sounding Klipsch speakers and I couldn't be happier! As a musician, I would never consider buying a guitar online without having first played it in person, so I'm not sure why I would take the word of people I do not know and buy a set of unheard speakers online, but I know I'll never do it again. Amazon can be great for many purchases, but for anything audio, go to your nearest Best Buy store to listen first.

Very pleased with these Klipsch bookshelf speakers. They are used as surround speakers in our home theater. We were fortunate to pick them up on sale at Best Buy. Quite a savings over the MSRP. They sound great and would also work very well in a small stereo system. Very efficient and clear sounding speakers with acceptable bass response. They are small so don’t expect wall shaking bass tones. They are pretty accurate down to 60 hz. Add a small subwoofer if you need to feel the very low bass tones. Magnetic attachment grills are a very nice touch.

I have bought eight of these matching speakers for my 7.2 surround sound receiver (165 watts per channel). Althought, I have only six of them connected, the other two are waiting on me to buy a 9.2 surround sound receiver in the near future. I bought this Klipsch speaker to match up with my Klipsch powered subwoofer and Klipsch center speaker. This speaker produce the clear perfect sound that I wanted even at high volume.

My first love is music, and sound quality is very important to me. My first career was in music, performing, working with other musicians and friends, record stores and music stores, running sound, recording music. I will tell you now that these speakers are perfect with my Yamaha receiver/amp. I got these on sale, but even at their MSRP, they are worth it! I want the floor speakers next! I also paired these with the Polk center speaker. Fantastic! I have actually had these since the beginning of August. My records sound incredible.

Love the updated look from the R-15M. Klipsch has added the Magnetic grill from the RP series. The black and gold looks so god, you probably won't use the grill though. Sound quality has improved, to my ear over the previous model as well. Some people say Klipsch's sound "bright" but I'm a fan of the sound, the high efficiency give you a lot of boom for the wattage. I use them in a 7.2 setup, with these as l/r (moved the r-15m's out to l/r surround) and am happy with their performance.

For such a small speaker, this make big, beautiful noise. Klipsch is the standard bearer in my opinion, and growing up hearing my uncle’s ginormous Klipschorns at both ends of his living room. Proud to have these (along with my Bose 301s) hooked up to my ‘Quadrophonic’ system.

I bought a pair of these speakers to set em up as my surround speakers in my home theater system, the sound of these speakers is amazing!, Plus they look awesome!, I'm very happy with my purchase, would definitely buy again if need and will recommend them to anyone who really knows to appreciate high quality sound!!

Good bass X on bottom great high-end clean and precise. Excellent value for the money.

I have 4 of these bad boys, 2 for my front, left and right and 2 for my back left and right surround , and they sound great, with my, r - 34 c center channel and my 2 , r -120sw 12 inch subs , and 4 r-41–sa Dolby atmos speakers , I’m never going back to a movie theater

Very powerful in my room. 16x15x9 All about the sound but they also look amazing.

I still struggle to understand how do much sounds can come from these speakers. I use them in a 12 x 14 bedroom and it feels like they were made for a much larger room. They're great for music but amazing for watching a movie with Dolby Digital. For more serious applications, you may need a sub. I added one to my setup but it's kept very low. The sub wasn't added out of necessity; I got a great deal on it.
