I bought 2 pair of these to replace my Infinity surround and rear surround speakers that were close to 20 years old. Man what a difference!! I mean I thought there was going to be a difference but I was blown away by how much of a difference there was! Going from speakers that just had tweeters and woofers to a speaker that had horns it was just amazing! Much more clarity and I noticed that I didn't have to turn my receiver up as loud as I use to. These speakers are great and I highly recommend them!

Bought as a Christmas gift for my daughter after I heard these play in the store. Great sound and performance from these Bookshelf speakers. Also they are the right size for her needs and where they will be mounted. The only thing wrong, Best Buy should update their pictures of these speakers. They show a cutout on the back of the speaker to hang them up, the hole isn't there on the speakers itself. Only drawback, you have to use a mounting kit if they are intended to mounted or hung from the wall or ceiling.

Bought these with significant savings through the open box offerings. These speakers sound fantastic. They're great rock and roll speakers, but I've been hearing things I never noticed before on the few classical records I own. Running them with a Yamaha 100 watt RN303 receiver. They handle cranking up the volume to max with no clipping or distortion.
They don't have a lot of bottom, of course, but with a subwoofer you'd have a killer sounding system.

These are great speakers. I have them hooked up to my Fosi Audio BT10A 2CH 50Wx2, and these things sing. In a mid-sized room or large bedroom, these are plenty, plenty loud. I don't even come close to stretching the limits of volume. Bass with my AMP is absolutely deep with some rumble; a separate sub is not necessary for me.
You can't go wrong. Oh, and these things are GORGEOUS!

Sony Dh790 5.2.2 in a 15x20 room. I previously had the Sony cores in 7.2.2. I've tried Polk also. Now I have (2) R820F, (1) RP504 C, (4) R51m. (2) 12" JBL GT subs. Way better SQL than Sony and fill a large room much better.
Currently using (4) R51m for surround. Got them for $180. As far as surrounds, can barely tell the difference with the Sony Cores. It's only when something REALLY screams by in a movie can i tell the difference, like in DTS-X tracks (DTS-X IS MY FAVE!). They get lost in ATMOS tracks. Although they sound great in the ATMOS Pod Race scene in Phantom Menace. They really fill the room when the sound effects are screaming from every which way for roughly 10 minutes. It's a fun demo.
Comparing to Sony Cores and Polk. Playing music they definitely fill the room MUCH better. The bass SQL is better but SPL is about the same as the Sony Cores. So dont expect your walls rattling or huge difference there. The SQL is what makes them better. AND THEY'RE 8OHMS!
BE AWARE website shows a keyhole in the back. IT DOES NOT. I bought an extra pair with the intent of utilizing the keyhole. Opened it and noticed it wasn't there. Checked my other 4 thinking maybe it's a newer version since the price went up. It's not. All my other 4 don't have KEYHOLES!
These are not bass shakers but the SQL is worth the step up from Sony Core or entry Polk.

I was searching for bookshelf speakers for our study. I love the look and sound of klipsch so I knew which brand i’d be looking for. These are part of a new line from klipsch and at only $125 I had to give them a try. I ordered them from Best Buy and they were delivered a few days later. I un-boxed them, sat them on shelves in the study and ran some speaker wire. After listening to a few songs I grabbed my phone, loaded up the Best Buy website and ordered another pair! The second pair replaced a pair of small Bose towers that were rear surrounds in my dedicated home theatre room. The surround effect was much improved with these speakers.
What can I say? They’re inexpensive, they look great (go ahead - take off the grills and show them off) and they sound like much more expensive small speakers. Calibrate your room with audyssey or similar, feed them adequate power and smile knowing how little you paid.
Just buy these speakers!

I bought these speakers to replace a very old pair of JBL bookshelf speakers in a bedroom stereo. I'm really pleased with them. They're quite efficient (read: loud), and the sound is nicely balanced. The bass if full without being boomy, they're articulate in the mid-range and the highs are crisp without being shrill. They were an excellent choice for this application.

Bought 3 pairs of these during the Black Friday sale for my 7.1 surround sound system. I have a theater room in my basement and wanted a speaker that had great sound but was small enough to be mounted above the wall joists of my basement. These worked just fine and were a massive upgrade over some small Polk speakers that I had before. Lots of power and a much more even sound. For the price you won’t be disappointed!

Have three pairs of these in two different surround setups. Great, clear sound. With the right receiver hookup, these sound as good as any tower pair of speakers. Good bass. Clear mids. Sparkly highs. Klipsch is an industry standard for a reason.

These speakers are good for music and movies. I listen to a wide variety of music and have the klipsch speakers feeding into speaker connections on my definitive sub and crossed over at 80 hz feeding to a cambridge audio integrated amp. All my sources are digital. The speakers produce crisp and clear highs and midrange and sub takes care of frequencies below 80 hz. These speakers are not the greatest in the world but they can play clear and loud and sound fantastic for live concert type music and image very well. I have a pair of Paradigm floorstanders they work in tandem with and they make a proud couple. The speakers strengths and weaknesses offset each other. The speakers are also very power efficient and sound clear at low and moderate listening volumes. All of us hear things differently but I would bet in a blind audio test my 1400 worth of speakers and sub would surprise many audiophiles who have much more costly gear. Also my cambridge integrated amp has pure direct mode and my apple tv is hooked up via optical for streaming spotify in extreme quality and a cambridge cd player hooked up via digital coax. Nothing too fancy or expensive but sounds fantastic to my old ears.

I purchased the R-34C center channel speaker along with a pair of R-51M to use as surrounds and a pair of R-26F speakers as the mains. The center and surrounds are brand new from Klipsch, so I actually bought them without hearing them in person first. Knowing Klipsch quality, I didn’t have any doubt that the new series would perform just as well as the older lines.
I didn’t receive the mains until about a week after receiving the other three. The R-26F, being last year’s model, are being phased out and were hard to find. I ran a 3.1 system for a week, and got to evaluate each element based on their individual merits. They were attached to a Denon AVR-S920W, outputting 90 watts per channel with 7.1 or Dolby Atmos capability.
Starting with the R-51M’s, I can say that there bookshelves are highly capable speakers. The Tractrix horn produces the most clear and distinct upper register that I’ve heard. Some say that Klipsch has a history of being harsh on the upper end, but I’d argue that the clarity and sharpness of the tweeter makes you feel as though you’re getting the full range of the source. The woofer gives a solid mid-range performance, but might be slightly undersized to compete with the amazing horn. You don’t expect a lot of lower end from a small bookshelf speaker, so crossing over to a subwoofer at 90Hz made up for any deficiencies on that end.
The crossovers in these speakers make it very clear which frequencies are getting sent to each driver, as when you’re standing right in front of the speaker, the directionality and separation of each makes a huge difference in the overall sound picture. Backing up 5-10 feet, the speaker sounds like one single full-range image.
Next up, the R-26F main speakers. These things are tremendous. Attaching them to the left and right leads, these floors performed right out of the box. My first stop was a test of the upper and mid range, Alison Krauss’ “Paper Airplane” via Apple Music and Airplay to the receiver. I’ve had surround systems for years, mostly with satellites and ceiling mounted speakers, but this is the first time I’ve truly been “wow’d” with the clarity of the reproduction.
I don’t care if you are a fan of that style of music or not, do yourself a favor and pull up anything from Alison Krauss and Union Station with your HT rig. It’s the most honest music I’ve ever heard, and her production of the music features the musicianship of the members over the effects of the studio. “Dimming of the Day,” “Maybe,” “Goodbye is All We Have,” “Stay,” “Ghost In This House.” Solo, her “River in the Rain” or “I Never Cared for You.” Her voice is haunting and true, powerful and gentle simultaneously.
I found that I needed more power to drive the R-26Fs to the same volume than I had with the R-51Ms in the mail role, but still had a lot of headroom. I played it as loud as I could stand and still had about 20db before I maxed out the receiver. Even at that volume, the floors never wavered or chuffed, almost as if they were asking for more juice. In fact, they don’t really shine until you really push them, the lower end tends to fall off at moderate listening levels.
I put the receiver in “pure direct” mode, then verified that nothing was coming out of the center or sub. With an acoustic performance like she and Union Station provide, I literally had to feel the sub to make sure it wasn’t in play. What I was getting from the floors was just as if the band was standing in front of me. Unadulterated, I could hear the picking of each Steele string as it was plucked and fell off. An acoustic bass is well represented here and doesn’t overpower.
Moving on to Metallica’s “Enter Sandman,” the range between the highs of crash symbols and guitars were very well reproduced. However, the low end needed some serious reinforcement. I kicked the receiver into “music” mode, activating the LPF crossover and subwoofer. Adding that into the mix completed the picture. I still couldn’t tolerate maxing out the speakers, as they would have given more than my head could absorb. Bottom line, mid and high ranges are amazing with these mains, but don’t expect them to hit under about 90-100Hz without missing something. Those 6.5 inch woofers are good at the lower mid-range, but can’t sound like an amplified subwoofer. Imaging between the two speakers was very good, and stereo effects transitioned beautifully from one side to the other. I didn’t try a phantom center, because I’ve got a gem in that role.
The R-34C is nothing short of a gift. Four 3.5 inch woofers and the trademark Klipsch Tractrix horn are an absolute pleasure to listen to. If the center channel is the heart of a surround sound system, this speaker beats strong. Mid and upper range is so well done, that the only word that I can find to describe the sound is “rich.” It makes no mistakes.
I couldn’t possibly glow about this speaker any more. For dialogue and vocals, the representation is full and clear. Pronunciations and echo effects that you might have heard in a set of quality headphones are apparent on a big stage, front and center. The moderation of male and female voices alike is pits the voice against the rest of the system. I had to turn the levels on the center down about 4db to let the rest of this overall exceptional system keep up. The bite of “s” and the “c” sounds are true, making you take note, but isn’t distracting. Hearing the personality of the voice come through was a new experience for me; to hear how the vocalist moves the sound from throat to nose and back brings real personality to the music, and you can hear the vocalist moving closer and further from the microphone based on the timbre of their voice.
So how to they all work together in a home theater?
Wow.
The first film I put on was “Ready Player One,” which I’d seen in an Atmos theatre, in 4K BD from an Xbox One S. Once again, the center was a little over-powering and the dialog dominated the opening. scene. Once I dialed the center back about 4db, the whole system was balanced and each speaker complimented and played off of one another. Van Halen’s “Jump” got the heart rate pumping, but Foley effects in the film didn’t let you forget where the action was.
Cut to the first race scene, all I can say is that this system performed amazingly. Once again, I pushed the volume as high as I could tolerate and there was still plenty of headroom. I imagine that the ~97db sensitivity of this set makes a huge difference with regard to how much power is needed to drive these speakers to satisfaction, because I can’t imaging pushing them harder. My daughter actually complained that her ear was bothering her after walking in front of one of the mains. (Whoops).
There was no distortion, no chuff, no struggle, no rumble, and no distraction. My son, whose seen the movie twice, was wrapped in by the audio. The experience of seeing the movie coupled with the enthralling sound track and effects brought the movie to life for him, and for me too. These Klipsch speakers are a home theater dream, even in my large room with open “walls” on two sides.
My bottom line is that I’m glad to have spent the money to get a quality system. Perhaps I could have done better by matching the R-34C to the upper level of Klipsch Reference speakers, but I don’t think it’s wrong that the center shines so beautifully. The sound is still well matched, enveloping, and engaging.
After calibrating the system with Audyssey Bronze, and coupled with my Samsung UN65M9000 display and Xbox One S serving up UHD Atmos content, I finally have a theater quality experience in my living room.

Honestly probably better than Sony. Read a lot of reviews before purchasing and it's honestly amazing as we watch movies at home or listening to music or podcasts with the home theater. I have purchased 2 pairs of these speakers. One pair is combined with a Yamaha AV receiver in my bedroom. I wanted better but not overwhelming sound for my TV in that somewhat small room. I am happy with the sound no matter what I am watching. I can listen to streaming music and that is fine also. I would describe the sound as a little warm which I like. There is enough bass for my tastes. Banana plugs make connections easier.
The other pair I am using for rear channel sound in a 5.1 system in a spacious room. That system is entirely Klipsch. I find the sound to be quite balanced and not harsh at all. I know these speakers aren't sold as rear channel but they do the job well.
For listening to music seriously I still prefer my high end music system. However I never find myself annoyed with the Klipsch speaker's reproduction. Unless you are super fussy you will like them too.

After a recent decision to build a better than average home theater system capable of handling music as well as movies. I started doing ALOT of spec and price comparisons in the mid level home theater speaker offerings from many companies. After weeks of research and several in store demos( using my own music and device) i decided to pull the trigger and buy these bookshelf speakers.
Not only are these speakers extremely satisfying to look at but they perform just as well as they look. After picking these up, unboxing and setup i took my time( 1 month) throwing everything i could think of at these speakers(music and movies) just to establish a base line for evaluating before dialing in the sound. After establishing a solid baseline performance i began tuning the system to get every drop of sound out of them..... I am running these through a pioneer elite vslx103 with the Klipsch RP-500c center and bose 201 v4 as surrounds. I currently do not have a sub hooked up- and honestly, to my suprise i'm in no hurry to add one, these speakers coupled with the center in a PROPER setup produce unparalleled acoustic response and will solidly deliver down into the 30hz range EASILY!!!!! Once you drop into the mid to low 20hz range you'll start to audibly hear the speakers bottoming out in their ability to produce those super low notes. With that said.... for some 5 1/4" bookshelf speakers these things will take on anything you throw at them musically from Hard rap and hip hop all the way through the gambit to bluegrass and symphony. these speakers will immerse you in a 3D soundstage. You WILL hear things in recordings(that youve listened to 1000's of times) but never noticed... The cabinets are real wood and ported in the rear, magnetic grilles(that don't rattle when things get loud, they also come with Good quality rubber feet if you choose to use them or not. Allaround these speakers do exactly what i wanted them to do and they do it with ease, If you are contemplating building or upgrading in a small to med. sized music/home theater system these speakers will not let you down, if you take the time to place them properly and match them with the other speakers in your system you will look forward to coming home and getting into your favorite movie or favorite music.

Have always been a Bose listener but things have changed. Saw a pair of these at an exceptional price and knowing their reputation I gave them a try and will never regret it! Powered them with a entry level Sony STRDH190 receiver and even at low levels the frequency response is exceptional. Listening to an old Peter Gabriel LP the bass was a little underpowered but clean and crisp. The Mid and High frequencies are exceptional. I love the way mid and high range instruments can jump out at you like in real life concerts. I highly recommend!
