Customers love the Reference Series speakers for their exceptional sound quality, affordable price, and compact size. Many customers were impressed with the clarity and detail of the sound, even at high volumes. The speakers are also praised for their ability to fill a room with clear, beautiful sound despite their small size. While some customers felt the need for a subwoofer for enhanced bass, overall, these speakers offer great value for the price.

Great sounding speakers. We had tall Bose speakers and we wanted smaller speakers that take less room, these are perfect! We purchased stands from Amazon to get them up off the floor.

I'm using these with a very old Philips subwoofer from a home theater system, just to be completely fair. I find that with these as the main front speakers, sound quality is fantastic as long as I keep it at a safe volume. Do find that the sound becomes harsh at high volume, as others have stated, but that's only at extreme volume I would never use anyway. I only slowly turned them up to see when they began to sound like that. On my old Philips receiver, it was around 35 out of maximum 50 volume. On that receiver, depending on the content being played of course, an approximate comfortable volume for me is 20, so these sound wonderful in that range.
During the evenings when a downstairs neighbor is home, I find that I can hear amazing detail at lower volume (12-15) and still hear everything in recordings and even still hear natural sounding bass. I've been enjoying jazz CDs this way.
Highly recommended as long as you don't need to blast them at concert level.

I was looking for bookshelf speakers for my Samsung 75” T.V. setup and I ran across these on the website. I replaced a couple of Radio Shack speakers with these and I could not be more impressed. Paired with a 10” subwoofer and the sound and performance are night and day better. I purchased an open-box pair and they arrived in pristine condition. If your’re looking for crisp and clean sound, these are the speakers. The design is sleek and the copper cones are SO stylish. Love them!

These are my first pair of Klipsch bookshelves after owning JBL, Infinity, Pioneer, Jamos, and many others. First, the looks is stunning and quite vintage...I love it! Second, 92 db sensitivity means they are very efficient and weasy to drive! I've tried them with my vintage Pioneer receivers and even a 16w Kenwood with no problems turning it up! This new R-50M are not fatiguing as previous models and has a wider wave guide. I play records and prefer a warmer sound of gud 'ol classic rock, intrumentals, country, 80's pop and metal so my music range is quite varied. These speakers sound very detailed as well as offer a gud amount of punch. While not audiophile qulaity levels, they will satisfy just about anyone's music taste...and stay on budget! If you want beautiful looks as well as competent performance, these are worth a look. I've been pleasantly surprised at the sound quality and should get better after a "break-in" period. These are a "keeper" for me!

I've had these bookshelf speakers for about 2 weeks and have been very satisfied with my purchase. They sound great, especially for speakers at this price point. I bought these as an "pen box" set and was shocked at the quality of them.

I have to say I love these speakers, this is my first real home surround sound and these speakers make me feel like I’m actually in the movie theater… To be honest I haven’t been to the movie theater since I’ve installed these. I have 4 book shelf speakers 2 in the front 2 in the rear, center speaker (klispsch as well) and a 10” subwoofer by klipsch, and ceiling speakers also by klispsch. I’ve read read on forums that these are “beginner speakers”, but I feel like me and my family will end up keeping these for as long as they work. This sound system definitely enhanced our at home movie experience and we highly recommend that if you’re reading this you buy a set as well!

Audio is purely subjective to listener but I must say these new klipsch speakers were what I was missing in my system. I have a huge open great room and have a pair of paradigm floor standers already but needed a boost for highs and midrange and these do a fantastic job. Imaging is spot on and at low, mid, and high volumes these speakers sound awesome. I’ve listened to multiple digital music tracks of acoustic, jazz, rock and wow. Very impressed and highly recommended. A sub is obviously needed to get full range performance.

I have several speakers from them in various places in our home. These are used for a sitting room and mainly for vinyl. Really great sound and they are much bette than what I would say is a “bookshelf” size. Never disappointed with this brand!

Purchased a 6 disc CD player and needed a great-sounding set of bookshelf speakers. These Klipsch 340 watt passive 2 way speakers were perfect. I played CDs from the 90s and heard each instrument with a clarity I'd not heard before.

I got these to replace my old Boston T830 floor standing speakers in my bedroom. The Klipsch bookshelf speakers
sounded much clearer with greater detail, and have decent bass for such a small speaker. I mate these with a
Klipsch R-30 center and a 12" MK sub, hooked up to a Denon AVR-S570BT receiver.
The Denon is 70W per channel with loudness up to 99.
I have only had this system up to 55 and that is very loud with excellent sound reproduction.

I have these and the R 40m with the R34c supporting magnepan mmg's. It's an incredible combination. I have the Klipsch 1200sb sub coming. My dream system will be complete for now. R50m are great speakers.

The R-50M is a great general purpose speaker - very good to excellent for both home theater and music. They present the listener with articulate dialog when watching movies and TV shows, as well as smooth, non-fatiguing audio for music, their apparent brightness when new resolving within 100-200 hours of use.
