Knights in the Nightmare is an od twist on the FF Tactics genre. Although it still remains a strategy game. It has, in fact, created it's own genre.
Combat is... odd. It takes a massive amount of time to play through the tutorials to learn everything. The player guides a glowing sphere around witht the stylus. You have to hover the sphere over units to tell them what to do. You would think that the enemies would attempt to damage against your units, instead they try to damage your sphere. To win a battle you must be extremely good at multi tasking.
The controls are what brings this game down. You'll find your self constantly clicking the wrong things with the stylus. One other frustrating thing in this game is that if one of your units dies, they're gone for good (they loose health by following orders, yeah...). If they do too many things, they're gone for good.
Sting certainly tried to do something interesting here. Although there are many frustrating aspects of the game, you may want to try it out just to play this new genre.
