Good camera for the price, satasfied!

I use this camera for day to day photos, the occasional party and stuff. I bought a 2yr. warranty with it. I have had it for about four months now and I am extremely satisfied with it. Those who say the pictures are blurry do not let it focus before pushing the shutter button completely. You must allow the green brackets to appear on it's nice, large screen before taking the picture, otherwise it will not be focused. I love the fact it can zoom while in video mode, but when it auto-focuses in video mode it make little clicking/beeping noises that you can hear in playback. This is not a big deal, it isn't too distracting, and this camera is not mean't to record multi-million dollar motion pictures. With the purchase of any camera, you should always have a photo/image editing program to adjust colors because no camera is perfect!

    Great Camera

I bought the Kodak M340 because I was looking for a slim, easy to fit in my pocket, quality digital camera and I'm very satisfied. There's hardly any wait time, you can snap and snap and snap and snap away without a problem, it takes GREAT self-portraits, the Smart Picture feature is on target consistently, and it has MANY pre-set modes to assist you in getting the most out of an occasion. Instead of constantly replacing AA batteries, it comes with a rechargeable lithium battery that LASTS FOREVER. I've had it for two weeks snapping away at my weekend trips, work endeavors, my niece who was just born, my nephew's first haircut; about 250 pictures, with and without flash and I still have plenty battery life. With my old camera, the AA batteries (Energizer e2) would only take a few pictures, especially if the flash was used. YOU WILL NOT REGRET BUYING THIS CAMERA.

It's very easy to use, good setup, connect to the computer good. The megapixels are awesome and the price is okay =) I went to purchase this camera for the black Friday deal. I went to there stores total. Wal-Mart, Target and last but not least BEST BUY. I was in the store for over three hours playing with all the cameras. Thanks to the nice employee that help me. This camera is good for its price and i don’t understand why ppl complain about the noise it makes. If they go under the scene and click on museum then the noise and shutter noise will go away or you can go to settings and turn it off. Overall the camera is the best so far. But it still doesn’t beat a NIKON lol =-)

    Reliable Camera

I thought that this product was going to be a nightmare at first. The video fps(frames per second) turned out to be only 24, much less than I expected. It made an annoying beeping sound in my videos. However I toyed around with the options a bit and read the instructions manual, and soon I found out that the "annoying sound" was just the auto- focus of the lens, and could be turned off. There are also a wealth of other customizable features for the picture modes, such as on camera video editing! Overall I think this is an underestimated camera. if you just read the instructions maybe you'll figure out how nice it really is.

Great camera. bought for my niece. The price was unbeatable and on top of that they gave me a free 2G Memory Card. I tested the camera at home in case you wondered. Compact, simple and easy to use. I recommend.

    Great Camera

I found the camera extremely easy to use, I didn't even have to open the handbook. I generally use mine at Dallas Stars hockey games and I always get clear pics and videos. I haven't had any problems with it so far. Battery life is good, and it is easy to upload the pictures to my computer. I don't have any complaints, so I would say it was a good buy.

    Great buy!

I researched cameras below $120 from Kodak, Nikon, Canon, Fuji, GE and Sony to replace my Kodak 3.1MP CX6330. The Kodak M340 had the best reviews with regard to my personal interests and requirements: reliability and photo quality. Setup was quick and easy. After charging the included battery, I tested the Smart Capture Mode and was immediately wowed by the sharpness, color and clarity of the photos (Note: I could only take up to 4 at a time without a memory card). The mode dial includes 6 other settings, each of which has a varying number of enhancement options (sharpness, color, exposure compensation, etc). Smart Capture, Blur Reduction, Panorama, and Scene are my favorites. Blur Reduction Mode works perfectly every time. With a steady hand, Panorama produces stunning results as well. Video Mode has a blur reduction option that helps create a very smooth and steady picture. Scene provides 17 different options to adjust for particular scenes, such as Portrait, Children, Snow, Fireworks and Museum. Scene, however, does not provide the option of switching to other scene types without turning the camera off and back on. My biggest disappointment is the fact that the customizable settings in any particular Mode cannot be saved; they are reset when the camera is turned off. I would also like to see the Smart Capture tell what settings it is automatically choosing so that I can learn how to completely customize my own amazing photos in the "do it yourself" Program Mode. Overall, I am very pleased with my purchase of the Kodak M340. I like its descriptive on-screen Help Menu, Perfect Touch Technology for correcting individual photos, and sound tag feature for adding verbal notes to photos. All of the provided settings are greatly adjustable, and best of all, this camera produces clean and professional looking photos; it just takes time and practice to get the best quality out of each picture.

    Happy so far

    Posted .

I bought one of these for a friend who needs a very-easy-to-operate digital camera. I had a similar camera by Canon but lost it and decided to get an Easyshare for myself as well to replace it. At first I thought "Kodak? Do people buy Kodak anymore?" But the price was good and I was happy when I tried it out in the store. In fact, when I bought mine and used it at home, it took better pics than the camera I lost! Took it to a holiday party the other night, and the shots came out great. I am happy that when you turn the selection wheel, a description shows on the screen so you'll know what you're doing - I was never quite sure with my previous camera. This one might have fewer selection wheel options than my last one, but I wanted something that would be easy to use so I think it will be fine. The still shots were very crisp (I have not yet tried the video feature). I am giving the camera an overall rating of 4 out of 5 because I just purchased it recently and have not used it extensively. May update my rating at a later date. Be advised - you do need to purchase a memory card (none is included), and you may want to buy a battery charger as well (in lieu of charging the LION battery through the camera).

Good reliable camera at a reasonable price.

Camera takes good pictures. Battery life is very good. LCD screen is hard to see outdoors in bright light. It would be nice to have an optical view finder in addition to LCD. User manual is too brief. Extended user manual is available on-line. It would better to have one complete printed manual. Not all features available in all modes such as digital zoom, high ISO etc. etc. A wrist strap was provided. I prefered a neck strap which I ordered from KODAK. The cable to connect camera to a TV was not provided so I ordered from KODAK. Overall it is a good camera. I am glad that I bought when on-sale. I am happy I did not spend more to get a model with more features. This camera does all that I need. Worked fine right out of the box.

    Ideal camera for a novice

    Posted .

I got this camera as a gift for christmas, and being my first camera I'm impressed. This is a great camera for the first time camera owner. It has the features I wanted along with a small price tag. I'm disapointed at the quality of distant pictures. I had the camera in the landscape scene mode, and zoomed in on some bald eagles approximately 100-150 yds distant. in the maximum digital zoom my pictures came blurred and pixelated when I printed them out. But on the other hand this camera is only 3xoptical/5x digital zoom. I won't make that same mistake on my next camera. I'm not so sure the Image stabilization works. many of my pictures show up blurry in the LCD, even in smart capture mode. Has its drawbacks, but still worth it!

    Good camera for the price

I bought this camera as a gift for my mother and basically I was looking for a good value mixed with ease of use. This camera did both very well. The use it has been given up to now is more of a casual one, but the pictures look very good. I have not seen the video yet. Overall, this is a very practical and non-expensive camera. Only little detail, I did thought that it was a little bulky, compare, for example, to my Sony Cyber Shot. Also, just as a FYI thing, the battery charges within the camera, this meaning that you have to plug in the whole camera to the AC cable to charge the battery. Again, in the case of the Sony one, the battery charger was independent of the camera, so you could plug it anywhere.

    Great camera, but....

This camera is extremely easy to use...pretty much self-explanatory....didn't really even need to use the manual. The only negative thing I've found about it is that it doesn't have a separate viewfinder. Most people use the LCD screen most of the time anyway, but I've noticed when trying to take pictures outside in bright sunlight, I can't see the LCD screen and therefore can't see what it is I'm trying to take a picture of. A separate viewfinder would come in handy, but other than that, it's a great camera with lots of very nice features. The EasyShare software is very simple to download and use. Pictures are automatically resized for emailing when you choose the "Best for Email" option. EasyShare just like the name!

    Great Camera for price

I read all the reviews before purchasing and was a little iffy. But received it and it looked wonderful, felt great in the hands and was very quick and eay to set up. THe clicking noise everyone is talking about is just the autofocus in video. If you read your manual you would know this. Go to the settings and its listed as AF and you have option of either continous or single. You want single. Other than that this camera is a great little simple point and shoot camera for the price. Getting lots of use out of it and have not had a mis colored or blurred picture yet. I was running with the camera and took a pic and it turned out GREAT! Totally surprised. Could not be happier with the price I paid.

    good camera

I ordered this camera for my birthday. I really like the camera! It was cheap and the pictures are really clear and mostly the camera is simple and easy to use! the only this i DIDN'T like about it was that i wanted it for my birthday, but they didn't carry it in stores so I had to order it online and it took two weeks for them to even send the order in. Then it got back ordered like three times so I got it almost two months after i ordered it! So if you want a camera in time order it a while before. The other thing was at the store it was a light green, but when I got it, it was a shiny dark green. I don't mind it but it wasn't what I wanted. Besides that its a great camera!

    Good camera simple to use

    Posted .

This was a gift for a 1st time digital camera user. It is VERY simple to set up software and use the camera as a basic point and shoot. This camera has some really cool abilities and features, MOST of which are not metioned on the box or in the included booklet. Do yourself a favor, go to the Kodak.com website and look up this camera for a FULL listing of camera capabilities. You can also download a more extensive user guide from thier website. I love the slideshow picture playback capability! I show pics to people from my camera all the time, this features "runs" your selected pics or all pics as a slideshow with cool screen changes and music if you choose. Fun!

    Best Quality for the Price

    Posted .

I got this Camera to replace another Kodak Easy Share that my 5 month old accidentally got her hands on. I like this type of camera because it's easy to use and has several relevant and easy to use scene selections. ie. Action, Portrait, Close Up, Back lit Objects, Night Setting, etc. However, there are some setting that the pictures do come out grainy or dark and it comes as a surprise because it looks good on the LCD screen, but when you actually take the picture it turns out weird. But for a point and shoot camera I still think it's top quality for the price. I LOVE that it can take small videos! I captured my daughters very first roll over on video!

Nice camera for a good price!!!

I've always liked Kodak. I've been buying cameras almost every year esp when theyre on sale. Last yr was the first time I got a Fuji. The video was great but not the pics and the flash was too bright, so when i saw that this camera was on sale, I didnt have the second thought to buy it, (actually I got it cheaper than the Fuji I got last yr.) It is slim and so easy to use. The manual is direct to the point too so you dont need to read a lot of pages. Pictures are crisp and very clear. Videos are good too. I also got a 2-yr protection plan so no worry if something happens to it, even when accidentally i drop it!

    Good Point and Shoot

    Posted .

I like the size, very thin, compact and easy to store. The weight of it gives it a better feel. The features are good for the camera, and some of the LCD options are very useful, such as the grid pattern. I haven't had a lot of options for use yet, but plan on using it quite often this spring and summer. I don't like the Micro USB connetcion and would prefer a Mini USB Connector. I'd also prefer a Micro SD Card over the SD Card, and accessible via an external slot. The buttons feel cheap and appear easy to break.
