This camera does not cost much, but it has a lot to offer. You won't be able to find a better deal for the price - around $160 I believe as I write this. It has all the features I was looking for. Let me specify on a few: - The length of video capture is only limited to the available memory - it will record until either you stop it or it runs out of space. Since you can insert memory cards into the camera, you can film some lengthy clips if you feel like it. The camera also has a little hole that is a microphone on the front that picks up sound for your video. - If you want a wide shot, you can switch on the panoramic feature. This allows you to take up to 3 pictures and the camera will stitch them together right after you take them! This is nice because I know that some other cameras require you to blend them together with their software on a computer. The Easyshare makes the process a lot easier. When you take the first picture in the panoramic, the camera will save the edge of it to appear on the screen when you take the next picture. The portion of the last picture on the screen is a little transparent, so all you have to do is line it up. It's pretty easy. - There are many different features for taking the shots. For example, there's a mode for taking shots of fireworks (looks really cool, by the way), close ups of flowers, far away landscapes, night pictures, moving subjects, beach pictures, etc, etc. - It has all the standard features as well like a good zoom, flash, simple menus, a good quality screen, optional timer for a delayed shot, and the camera is a good standard size. I carry it around in my pocket. I haven't dropped it or really damaged it at all, so I can't tell you the durability. I would recommend just be careful when you're using it and wrap the mini lanyard thing that attaches to it around your wrist when holding it. Also, the reason you should buy it from Best Buy is because they offer protection plans. You can buy the camera online and then bring in your receipt to a Best Buy store and buy a plan. Most cameras will not last more than a year or two before you break them or something goes wrong, so it's a good idea to get a protection plan. I got a 4 year plan, so if I ever damage my camera, they will either fix it or replace it for me, and if they don't have the camera in stock, they'll give me a gift card for the amount it cost me and I can just buy a new model! I think the plan cost around 60 or 70 bucks. It's worth it. Don't take my word for it. Research online and see if you can find a better deal. That's what I did and I couldn't find anything better for what I was looking for. Unless of course you're willing to get something used and/or without a protection plan.

    Tempting looks, horrible photos

Truthfully I bought this camera for its sleek design, 10 megapixels and brown shell. That's about all it was good for. The photos it takes leave much to be desired. At 10 megapixels you would think the quality would be amazing. The issue with this camera is the lens is low quality, so the 10 megapixels are still full of noise. Under any lighting condition other than perfect day light they blur, get grainy and color distortion occurs. Take for example last night. I used macro mode to close up on a flower. I had to take 8 photos before I got one that wasn't blurry. (I found this out the hard way with many of my photos.) Every shot had a different hue. If you don't set the white balance (and even if you do,) you will get all different colors. The flowers went from a blue hue to a reddish color all the way over to washed out green. Another color issue was with whites to darks. When you look at the edge of a white petal on a flower with a dark background, instead of being crisp, there is a blue glow that occurs. This happened in every picture I took to a certain degree. For a 10 megapixel camera I would have expected this model to include some manual features. It had a few dumbed down options, but they didn't produce anything worth while. It doesn't even have options for automatic modes. You can't choose between low light, landscape, portrait, outdoor, etc. You can just change the white balance on automatic mode. Lastly, focusing was a huge issue. If you choose center focus, it only takes a few tries to get your subject crisp. If you choose multifocus mode, you are in for a long ride. The camra has a really hard time with focusing on people, as compared to landscapes. Another issue with focusing was even photos that were in focus had an issue with crispness. Subjects looked very soft without definition. Honestly, this camera is not worth your money. It takes shotty pictures and doesn't have any of the features that a camera of its class should. Don't make the same mistake I did. Go for an uglier functional camera.

I have had this product for a little over a week now and have taken over 3000 pictures with it. So far I have been extremely impressed with the photo quality. My only real complaint with the product is that the auto-focus has a tendency to over-focus and you have to re-focus or realign your shot to get a clearer image. This really only happens about 10% of the time but it is enough to get annoying when you are taking a lot of pictures but it is not enough to make this a bad camera. I did see that this camera got a bad review b/c of it's delicacy, and unfortunately I could see how that could be a problem. Unlike many cell phones or cameras with smaller screens, this camera does not have a hard cover for the lcd screen. This makes it so that it is easily damaged if you put it in your pocket, especially if it is not the only thing in that pocket. I solved this by purchasing a screen protector and buying a case to keep it in instead of my pocket. That aside, I must admit that I was pleasantly surprised at how solid the camera seems for being such a lightweight. Kodak really got this one right for size and strength. I also noticed that someone mentioned the quality of the usb port on the camera itself. I am a computer specialist for Best Buy and I have to honestly say that this camera has one of the tightest and sturdiest usb ports that I have seen in a long time. There really isnt a whole lot more to say other than that this has turned out to be a great camera for the money and that I liked mine enough to buy one for my brother the day after mine came in. These cameras paired up with our new Kodak 5500 printer makes for some very impressive photos. Would I recommend this to a friend? Absolutely Would I buy another one? Absolutely My Recommended accessories: - Screen protector - Carrying case - HD 4+GB sd card - Kodak Photo Printer (5300 or 5500)

    The Greatest Little Camera Ever!

The Kodak EasyShare V1003 10.2 Megapixel Digital Camera could be the most perfect camera ever produced. It is small enough to fit in your purse or pocket so you can carry it anywhere and everywhere! The 10.2 megapixel gives you a very sharp and viberant pictures, no matter what size photo you print. This camera has all the features you could ever want in a camera. It has a wide assortment of pre set modes that will allow you to get a great picture according to the mode you selected, such as for taking photos of fireworks on the forth of July, or for those action shots of your favorite little football player. "There are even modes for shooting close up, distance, candle light, and so much more. If you think you can't take a good picture...think again, it is almost impossible to take a bad photo with this camera. It even has an anti-shake mode that is great if you have a little shake in your hand. This little wonder lets you preview your photos and even lets you edit them right on the camera. It will even let you lighten up the ones that would otherwise be too dark, and it does it right there in the camera, right before your eyes! This camera is so nicely designed and the workmanship is the greatest, no features were left out on this little jewel! Stylish and priced right this camera has got to be the best buy that I have ever made, and I just love using it!

This is quite the camera. I was originally planning on spending 150 or so for a semidecent camera for college, but everything was sold out but this. Upon purchasing the camera I was immediately pleased. The picture quality is incredible and the screen is very clear. The camera doesn't show scratches unless they are huge, (I have yet to damage the thing) because of the finish. There are a wide variety of photo modes, my favorite being panorama. The picture stitching is very easy as long as you have appropriate lighting so you aren't trying to match up two dark and similar looking segments. Overall, great camera, durable, and very nearly worth what I paid. (20 less would be nice)

I bought this camera when i lived in Florida and went to the beach and Disney world everyday. I will say that it took AMAZING pictures at the beach and and Disney but when you are shooting at night, it is lousy. I also am a very active kid so i took my camera EVERYWHERE and you wont believe me when i say this but i went through 9 of these cameras in 5 months. HA ya 9, because the screen is made so softly it doesn't have a hard shell or protective plastic over it, so if you have it in your pocket and something hard presses against it it snaps. IT HAPPEND 8 TIMES, so i had to buy a special made hard plastic to go over it, so this is an awesome camera, but cheaply made

I bought this camera a year ago and it is my 6th digital camera. Without a doubt the best pictures. The easiest to use, so far, as well. I love the fact that you can crop, lighten and fix pictures as they are still in the camera. Not to mention the good quality of the videos! So nice to carry this camera around instead of a bulky video camera. I love the fact that it comes in colors. Great camera if you looking for something easy and light to use!

I love kodak cameras actually i'm on my third one...the v1003 was my second one and at first I was pleased with it...then over all as I started to take more and more pictures I noticed I was deleting more than I kept...horrible if used to take pictures of kids or pets(severe shutter lag..kept getting pictures of blurs), even if selecting another camera setting (i.e. low light, moving object, blur reduction) my pictures just turned out horrible 90% of the time....recommend the M1003....GREAT CAMERA!!!!SMART CAPTURE FEATURE...LOVE IT...RESTORED MY FAITH IN KODAK...

I recently bought this camera, I had a 3.2 mp camera and just wanted to update a little for better quality photo's, as soon as my camera was delivered I started snapping photo's, what a difference when I viewed them on my computer for printing, I would recommend this camera to anyone, it is not the top of the line, or the most expensive, but for the money it is a great buy. It is so compact and easy to use. Looks like my daughter has just inherited a 3.2 digital camera

I had read a few reviews of this camera and was hearing not so positive things, but upon receiving the camera and testing it for myself, I was very pleased with product. This camera takes great pictures, and has tons of different modes to choose from. 10 megapixels for this price you cant go wrong. My only slight complaint is that yes with some of the modes, picture quality does decrease, but not by much and not all modes. I am extremely happy with my camera

I had several problems with this camera *the focus is not so good, so you have to try several times to get a good photo *too dark fotos at night or in a poor light condition. *the auto focus make too much noise in recording mode finally, the lens of my camera stop working in my hand after to take a picture, this happens after 3 months of use. it is important to mention that I was always very carefull with the camera. dont try this camera!!!

I just got this camera 2 days ago, and i have taken tons of pictures! Everytime I turn on this camera I find out a new feature it has. However, one thing that I have noticed is that when I am taking a video, it keeps making an odd noise, kind of like a beeping noise, but I think that is because it ajusting to the changing lighting, but I am not sure. Don't let that stop you from getting this great camera!

I love this camera this is my 2nd Kodak and it's very nice. It takes good pics as long as there not too far away but my husband always seems to get better pics. I love the rechargeable battery and it can be used with my old printing dock from my first camera. Also I love the video camera even thought you can't zoom in and out with it. And it's very easy to transfer the pictures to both of my computers.

I love the camera for the most part but I have not been able to take even one good pic inside with low light, I have tried at 2 circus's and at church 2 times, my son was being baptized and I don't have one good pic of his once in a lifetime moment ! I just got a Sony the other day I have not done anything to take pics of yet but I hear that Sony is great for lowlight. Good luck !

I'm really enjoying my camera and learning how to use it's different functions. At first, I was frustrated by how slow it was to take a picture, display the image, and then be able to take another picture. Eventually, I figured out that there is a setting that lets you take picture after picture rapidly. That makes it much easier to capture active kids and pets!

I bought my camera about a year ago and still works perfectly. The only complaint I have is when outdoors, the screen is blank. The sunlight wipes it out. That is why it needs a viewfinder. Kodak needs one on all their cameras. Pictures are clear, easy to use buttons and its just the right size. Only I bought mine in grey.

This camera is a great point and shoot camera, easy to use, love being able to charge battery without a dock and without taking the battery out. All you have to do is plug it in. Picture quality is great. I compare to old easyshare 6.1 which is a great camera also, I didnt think picture quality would be so much better.
