    Best $129 I ever spent..Great little camera !!!

I absolutly love this little camera!! - I have a more complex camera that is bigger and bulkier and it takes great pictures, but I wanted something small to pop in my purse and carry all the time. When you first open the box. I was able to start taking pictures right away! This little camera has probably 18-20 different modes to choose from, You can even do some of your own editing on the pictures within the camera which is neat. When you first turn the camera on you only have to wait about 2 seconds and it's ready to go so your sure to not miss thoes important shots !! The battery and memory card is in the same spot but next to eachother so you don't have to pull one out to get to the other. Like I said about the door to the battery compartment, it is made of plastic which is reinforced with a metal hing on the inside which if your not careful or a child gets a hold of it, could very well break off. The camera is very small, the same size of a credit card but the same thickness as a deck of cards. The camera comes with a carrying strap, docking plate for an Easy Share printer and the software.. The instruction booklet seems to only touch on the basics to get you going. The software links you up with the web site and from there it give you more tips, tricks and troubleshooting.. What is really neat is it comes with a plug in for charging and a USB cable for charging and for transferring pictures, so you have two ways to charge it. I've been extremly happy with the pictures I've taken so far. The colors seem very vibrant and true. When you take pictures on automatic mode, portrait or up close, all you have to do is hold down the shutter button half way and up pops these boxes on the screen and focuses in on the main subjects in the picture. After the camera focuses and the boxes turn green that indicates the camera is ready to take the perfect picture. Ofcourse this feature can be turned off if it is annoying to you. The burst mode is very quick as well. The only other camera I was considering was the Fuji (cant remember the model number, but it was the same price), but the Fuji had considerable longer lag time between burst shots. It also has a video mode but I've not tried that yet. Also, the Kodak has a lithium battery and that was a plus for me because I wanted to avoid the bulk and weight that AA batteries. If you know the basics around a camera it will be easy to learn how to use the Kodak. This is my first Kodak purchase. I've owned Fuji, Cannon and Panosonic, which the Panasonic is my bulkier camera for more advanced picture taking. I can say I am extremly pleased with my purchase and have no regrets whatsoever. I did do alot of research before I chose this one. I suggest you compare very carefully at the specs of each camera you are considering to make an informed decision. I would definetly recommend this camera for an all around fantastic everyday camera. I don't think you would be dissapointed if you chose this one, but like I said, make an informed decision and compare !!

I was a little skeptical about buying this camera after researching it and finding some less than optimistic reviews. I decided to go for it and am so glad I did. Here are my thoughts on the great features of this camera: The huge 2.7 in LCD screen: The size of the screen is perfect for being able to view the subject even in direct sunlight. It also makes reviewing the pictures more pleasurable and reduces strained eyes. The sleek design: The way the camera is made allows it to slip into your pocket nicely. It's lightweight and is actually comfortable in the hand. The battery life: The battery lasts for a while after a full charge. Also, the ability to charge the battery while it's in the camera is a huge plus. The start-up: Once you turn the camera on you only have to wait about 2 seconds before you can take pictures. You'll never miss any of life's moments with this. The scene modes: Every single scene mode in this camera is useful. The number of them makes picture taking fun and unique. My personal favorite is the panoramic mode which stitches three pictures together to make one. The video mode: One feature when you're taking a video that stands out above most cameras is that you can zoom WHILE you are taking the video. You can also hear the playback through the little speaker on the outside of the camera. Overall, this is one of the best point-and-shoot cameras to own. I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys photography as a hobby or whoever wants to capture the moment.

Have had the camera for 3wks and 2 vacations. Overall very easy to use. Great startup to picture time and decent shutter lag (especially prefocussed). Most pictures of an active 3yr old and most have been quick and crisp. The screen is awful in bright sunlight. Pretty much useless until in shade or indirect light. Very nice inside. Has alot of great easy to use preprogrammed shot settings. The panoramic has proven to be the biggest plus. Camera uses 3 shots to stitch a traditional panoramic while keeping the edges of previous on the screen for lining up. VERY VERY cool feature. Battery life has been decent. Average of about 100pics and 10min of movies per charge. Would recommend a second for backup. Movie mode has been hit or miss. In bright light it tends to add purple hues and lines. In non bright and inside it has been good. The zoom does work during movie rec however the focus is slow to keep up so must be done in slow steps. Found the button and knobs in conveniet locations. Feels good in your hand. On/Off button off of the old kodak rotary bezel is a HUGE pluys over previous models. Good camera for a snap/shoot.

This camera is great, i've got it like 12 hours ago, and this is the coolest camera, i've ever had, the LCD is big, the battery is Lithium, it means no more messing with double A battery. It is also SDHC compatible which means, I can use my 4GB SDHC that I had laying around. When my mom brought this, it came with a free 2GB SD Card, but I'm sticking to my SDHC for now. More features than expected. You can choose different settings such as Fireworks, potraits, panorama, video mode, etc. You can make a multi-media slideslow up to 20 pictures with built in Music and effects. Also the cool thing about it is the share button, what it does is you enter the e-mail address that you want to send the picture is then when you plug in into the computer, it will automatically send them to the e-mail that you entered. The Final thing I wanted to say is that it is pict-bridge compatible, which means, you can connect to a pict-bridge printer, and print the pictures. So If you're willing to buy this camera, then go ahead. You won't reget it.

Bought this to replace a cheap "bargain" Insignia video cam I bought in December, which will show it is recording, but when trying to play back, says there isn't anything there. Needless to say, not pleased with that purchase. I already have a Fuji FinePixA805 that I am happy with for my usage - combination of pictures and video (Jeeps on trail). Decided to try the EasyShare and am really glad. Took it out this weekend and never know if I will be using video, or just a still shot, so truly appreciate ability to quickly change between the 2 with the selection dial located on the top and extends over edge slightly to allow quick dialing. Picture and video quality are excellent, sound seems fine. I am not high tech, but this is better than average quality, and very reasonably priced. No blur in anything I took, no credit on my part, as some was taken while walking over rough terrain, but video and pictures are VERY clear. Would buy again without hesitation.

For all those fence sitters about this camera. I'm very VERY picky about spending my money, and spending it on worthful stuff. I promise you that if you buy this camera you will be very happy. I went to the store and bought it. It comes with a wall charger and a computer charger. It has great zoom and for those shaky handed people, even if you shake it a little while taking pictures they turn out great! Once again for all those fence sitters it was well worth the money and would still be well worth it if it was worth $300. You won't regret buying it. (Great shutter speed, fast power on) Those sample pictures make the picture look bad. Don't trust em. That was an example of the shutter speed. My grandpa never smiles.

I just purchased this camera a few days ago with christmas money and am very pleased with my choice. I did a lot of research prior to buying this camera and am glad that I went with Kodak. The 10+ megapixels are really great in the quality shows in every picure. There are so many choices and features that allow different options for any picture-taking environment. (The panoramic picutures come out awesome!) So far I haven't found many flaws, and those that are present are very minor. At the store I had wished to get the camera in black, but all they had was silver so if you really want this particular camera in black, online purchasing may be a good way to go. Before I bought it, I relied heavily on the customer reviews that people had written, so hopefully this one helps you find the camera you want.

    Poor Resolution on LCD screen

Bought this camera for my wife to take on a cruise. The simplicity of controls and ease of use was what lead us to this camera. My wife is not overly tech savvy so we were looking for ease of use primarily but the camera offered several nice features. However, on our first trip out to try out the camera we found it impossible to see what we were looking at in the LCD screen. In any kind of sunlight the screen is so dark that all you see is your reflection rather than the picture you want to take. We tried several times during different periods of the day to take photos but with any sunlight my wife became so frustrated we just went back to the store and returned it and bought another make of camera. On the positive side it does take nice pictures. Just would not recommend this camera if you are planning on using it outside (which most of us plan on doing anyway).

I was really interested in photography when I got this camera and it takes fantastic close ups and the zoom is amazingly clear. What's great about it is that you can take fun pictures w/ your friends or you can take sophisticated pictures of nature or something. The only reason I had to get a new camera was because I put it down when the lens was open at the beach. It got sand in it and had a "lens error". Nikon service and repair was great; they got back to me within 2 days. The problem was it had been dropped so they couldn't fix it. However, this is a fantastic camera, just look at the pictures.

I bought this camera because I needed something while my digital SLR camera was being repaired (my 2-year old dropped it). I read the reviews and the price was right and I was sold. Big mistake. My family went to see the space shuttle take off and the pictures I took were blurry and out of focus. Even the ones of my children swimming in the Banana River. Also, you can't get close for those wonderful up close shots because the flash washes them out, and without the flash they are very dark and they still come out blurry. I tried different settings with the same disappointing outcome. I am spoiled with my SLR camera and knew this would not come close, but sadly I found that this was a very poor investment even for a temporary one.

If you are not too picky and just looking for a general camera this could work. Set it on Auto mode and shoot away, must shots will come out acceptable. It does have a great white balance function, colors are always on point. Pictures are always soft and noisy with a a lack of details, not sharp. The softness in the pictures does not react to the sharpen function on PSE. Flash is good, plenty of power and quick recycle time in between shots. Screen is good, bright and sharp but shot review takes too long. Auto focus does misses often so make sure you do double takes.

I got this camera as a christmas present to replace my argus quickclix that and a 1 inch screen, 6 mp, and no optical zoom. I absolutley love it! The images are nice and clear, zoom is great, and face detection gets faces in a matter of seconds. Blur reduction is awesome. It also has onboard photo editing that allows you to crop and "fix" the image using Kodak Perfect Touch Tech. A few things the specs don't mention is that it is Pict Bridge compatible, shoots HD stills, and can record in QuickTime format. People said that they had memory issues, put I had none. As long as you press "MENU", scroll to the little picture of a camera with a wrench by at, and go to format card and format it, you should have no problems.

Me and my girlfriend just purchased this camera today and after initially looking for the Fuji 8.2mp J10 we were drawn to this camera. What won use over in an instant was not any features or optical zoom which is what I always look for 1st, but the quality of the pictures. I was upgrading from my eBay special Sony DCS P52 3.2mp, it served me well for my 1st digital camera, but it was time for a serious upgrade simply because I love taking great pictures. This camera is a great by for a 10MP in its class. although we have had it a short time. The picture quality is the main feature I was look for, if a camera can not do that well then what is it good for.

We wanted a smaller camera to use when our bigger Kodak camera was hard to take along. This one is so small, it fits easily into a shirt pocket or your purse. It has almost all the same features our larger camera had and twice the resolution. It is also more than half the cost of our other Kodak camera. It is very easy to use and actually almost the same as our other camera. The menu is easy to follow, and it isn't over complicated with a lot of buttons. It has other options that we love like panorama photos and in video mode you can zoom in ant out while filming. We are very happy we chose this camera.

This camera is beautiful. It is thin, the screen is big and clear, the crome is bright and shinny, it takes great pictures and with a memory card it can take up to 80 min videos. The panorama shots are fun to do you take three pics one at a time lining each one up with the next and it stiches them together giving you one long pic that shows everything. The carera is easy to use and with the software it comes with Kadak allows you to do so much with your pictures or video. Great camera, beautiful, and profesional. Best camera i ever bought.

This camera is stylish and easy to use. I just got it on my birthday and i adore it. It's great for teens or for young couples who have had their first baby. It's so pretty with it's sleek and stylish look. I recommend before buying it that you look up other reviews. You can find other reviews on Youtube.com. It is really easy to set up and has great picture qualities. It also has a lot of different features that you will enjoy playing with. I've already tooken over 230 pictures. I love it. I totally recommend you get this camera. It Kicks Butt!!!!

    Good Camera for the Price

Like I already said, the product is good for the price but if you are looking for a camera that takes good pictures I would recommend spending a bit more and getting a much better camera. This camera is not bad by any means. The stitching feature is pretty cool but I can already do that on my computer. I do like the ability for the camera to remember your settings when you turn the camera on and off like flash, iso setting, and many other settings. If you are just a college kid looking for a cheap camera to carry around with you this is it.

I have had this product for only three months and already it does not work. It will not power on with the battey or the ac outlet. It was returned to Kodak for warranty repair. I had to pay for shipping. The camera may be replaced with a refurbished product per Kodak's policy. I could have bought a cheaper camera on ebay had I wanted a second rate product. I should have spent a little more money for a better product. I am very disappointed with the camera and Kodak. I will not buy another Kodak product. Beware. You get what you pay for.

I've always been a fan of Kodak digital cameras, although it is not the best in its class compared to Nikon or Canon, I would say - for the bargain price I paid for it; then it's a steal. This camera is for everyday use, not only is it simple to operate, it also offer features like panoramic setting, video, etc. and the picture quality is great but not the best. Overall, I'm satisfied with my Kodak camera.

I have had this kodak camera for about 2 months now and I am still LOVING this camera. it has 10.3 megapixels (really shoots at 10mp) and an amazing deal for that. takes great quality pictures every time. i've only had a blurry picture when it was completely my fault (i accidently moved my arm before it was shot, etc etc) the zoom is nice as well. A nice feature is the panorama shots which stiches pictures taken together! I would definitly recommend this to everyone looking for a new camera.kodak is the best digital camera.
