I am NO professional, but with this camera, many folks say that the pictures are good, but I have an eye for photography. NO- it's the camera! The colors are great, and the many features that auto-set the camera for different environments actually work (something that did NOT happen with our attempt with a similarly priced competitor). This camera is a great entry level digital camera; however, with the quality of photos, folks could NOT guess that I didn't have a much higher priced camera. Last weekend, I experimented with the landscape function (the camera stitches three photos together). I got some amazing mountain range photos! The 10x optical zoom pays off on the soccer field with action shots of the kids, and with the ISO function, I can get some 'okay' indoor basketball action shots. Indoor portraits and birthday party shots come out GREAT! On Halloween, we used the Night Portrait function and got a great shot of our goblins with the FULL MOON behind our houses. SUPER SPOOKY and a SUPER shot!! I would suggest getting the Best Buy damage insurance! Because there is no viewfinder, you have to have your viewing screen. Ours broke while sledding over Christmas break. We then tried a similarly priced competitor's camera and HATED it. I bought another Easyshare Z915 because we just had to have it - this time with the service plan! :-)

    Best Camera Ive Ever Owned

I bought this camera to replace my $80 Sanyo because the buttons fell off after a year. The camera is much smaller than expected, but still larger than sleek and slim cameras. The lens is beefy and professional looking. It comes with more than enough features that kept me busy learning all day. It has tremendous zoom. I can take pictures of people from almost a quarter mile away. It takes excellent night shots, i just sat it in the windowsill and in ten seconds bam, a beautiful night-shot even my 20/15 vision can't see. The auto feature is not bad but it leaves pictures with lots of noise sometimes (extra blue pixels in background). the video is crisp and clear and the mic picks up bass without crackling. I use the Scan feature for most occasions, it includes portrait, high iso (1600 iso), night portrait, landscape, night landscape, flower, sunset, backlight, kids, candles, fireworks, museum, snow, beach, stage and self portrait. anyways, this was a great buy. If you want a professional compact camera this is the one to get.

Larger than most point and shoot cameras, much better picture and speed of operation. Manual, aperature priority, and shutter priority make it flexibible to use. I could use it with external light triggered strobes. Fareasier to carry than our Nikon DSLR kits (D70, D90). I might just retire and sell my D70 after using this. Since picture quality was surprisingly claer and sharp for its class. I has a bulkier front lens than most in its class, butto me that's a good thing sice it means clearer images, and a lower minimum aperature size; low light work, and selected depth of field. Movie featur nice in a pinch, but it doesn't touch our D90. To be expected considering price. Amazing face detecton, averaging focusing and exposing on muiltiple faces!

Poor low-light, excellent zoom, incredible video

Somehow, this camera is a better camcorder than a camera. It is a good camera hindered only by weak ISO that tends to show grain easily in low light. At the budget price it makes compromises, but if you need a basic camera with the bonus of excellent zoom and incredible video, the Kodak Z915 is the best deal in town. The video is standard definition only, but you can zoom while recording video--an uncommon feature at the price. Since that's 10x optical zoom, this camera is basically a standard-definition camcorder. The lens adjusts quickly and even renders closeups in focus--something few cameras and no pocket camcorder could do. Audio capture is weak though, so use an mp3 recorder simultaneously if you want a good soundtrack, and mix it into the video later. The camera also struggles with macros--the really tight closeups of food and or text. It's better than my $130 Sanyo compact, but it doesn't match my old $250 Kodak SLR-style camera.

I was in the market for a digital camera and did not want to spend a lot of money. I found this camera by accident and decided to give it a shot. It is bigger than most standard compact units, but it is not huge. It takes really good pictures and the battery life seems to be very good. The software that it utilizes is very simple, and it is easy to retreive your pictures from your camera onto your computer. I have not printed any pictures out yet, so I can't comment on that. One thing that I do not like, and this is a small issue, is that when you have the cable plugged into it and you're viewing pictures on your computer, when you unplug the cable it re-opens the lense and turns the camera back on as if to say "ok, lets take more pictures," instead of turning off.

This is an excellent Kodak! I have owned 3 Kodaks and they have all been great! Each one I have owned has had Great battery life, clear pictures, and easy to use features. This one is my favorite of all though! Shutter speed is great, it operates nice and quietly. The only reason I was contemplating on buying this was the size. Its considered a point and shoot! How ever, It is still compact enough to fit in a coat pocket! Size doesn't really matter when it comes to picture quality. Its almost impossible to get ultra compact and great picture quality together! I have owned 4 cameras total and, this is by far the best picture quality I have ever seen! In my opinion, it looks like SLR quality pictures. Its nice to hold and take pictures with. It has the smart capture feature in which the camera pics the best settings for you before you hit the shutter button! I also really like the 2.5 inch screen! This camera takes HD pictures ans video! This is A GREAT CAMERA!!!

This is my 3rd Kodak digital camera. I upgrade a little each time and have not been disappointed in a purchase yet. Picture quality on this camera is MUCH better than I expected. I use Lithium batteries and battery life is not an issue. I like these better than rechargeable because I am not a plan ahead type person, just pack an extra set of batteries in the camera bag. This camera has been the most difficult to just pick up and take good pictures. I missed some great pics while on a cave tour because I couldn't figure out how to get the flash on, didn't think I would need to study the matter before hand. Going on another trip soon and will use the travel time to study up. I thought about trying another brand but chickened out, am very glad I did, this is a great camera and a great price.

I've bought the Cannon Powershot SX10is and the Cannon SX110 and both cameras were returned, lousy cameras !! I've had my old Kodak DX4530 for about 8 yrs and these Cannons didn't take a better picture so I couldn't see why I should pay the $400 for the SX10is or the $250 for the Sx10. Best Buy had this Kodak Z915 for $129 with a 10 x zoom so I said I'd give it a try and was the best thing I ever did, fits in the palm of my hand so now when I go to small music venues I can tell who I'm looking at on stage. This camera is GREAT and please don't listen to alot of reveiws by the so called experts who give this camera a low reveiw cause it's just not true, I like this camera so much and for a little over a $100 bucks for a camera that takes just as good if not better than a $400 Cannon, well I'm going to purchase another for my daughter!!!! 2 thumbs up from me guys.........

I am so suprised at the quality of this camera for the price. I went to the store looking to spend $300 on a camera and walked away with this one for $129 on sale. I've always had either sony or cannon cameras and was nervous about buying kodak, but I'm so pleased. RIght out of the box it takes great pictures, even just on auto mode. I have yet to have a blurry shot, and the detail even on zoom is excellent. I'm sure it will be even better once I get around to reading the mannuel. I bought it primarily to take pictures of my kids and my crafts and such for my blog. I'm a very happy with this camera. I also like it's look, not to small and not to big.

For the price ($129 on sale), I figured I'd give this camera a try. I had been looking for a decently priced point & shoot with at least a 10x optical zoom, and this one fit the bill. You can use this camera in auto mode, manual mode, or you can choose from a number of preset scenes. Playing around with the scenes, flash options, etc., can sometimes give you a better shot than auto, although auto is usually pretty good. I wish it had a rechargeable li-ion battery, but at least it only takes 2 AA, so they are pretty easy to come by. I had a Nikon D series SLR that I got rid of because for most occasions it was too cumbersome to lug around the camera, 2 lenses, tripod, etc. This camera should get me a good enough picture most of the time.

I had an older Kodak EasyShare camera that I wanted to upgrade, so I got another brand of camera and hated it. I saw this camera on sale and jumped at the chance to get another Kodak. The difference between Kodak and the other brand I tried was huge. Kodak cameras take awesome pictures without fussing over the settings on the camera. You can just turn it on and start taking pictures and not worry if they are coming out blurry. 99% of the pictures I take with this Kodak camera are perfect (the other 1% is my fault for not letting it get focused). I have children and need a camera that takes quick pictures and this is the perfect camera for that. I love it!

I did not notice the lack of eye-level finder, until I opened the box at home; I miss that a great deal when taking action shots. I have difficulty trying to quickly locate and focus (is an optional finder available to add?) I also miss the battery pack on a previous Kodak EasyShare, with dock; I am disappointed with short battery life. There is good tech help available in the camera, but I prefer to look it up in a manual. I did obtain excellent assistance from a phone call and from online chat. The power button is hard for me to find and use. Despite these objections, I like the camera and expect to improve with practice. I expect to still rely a great deal upon my old 7525 for quick and easy general picture-taking.

I was looking for an inexpensive camera to replace an old Kodak DX4330 that quit working. After reviewing many cameras I ran across this one on Best Buys web site. It had good reviews on that site so I checked other sites finding more good reviews. Looking at the features it had more than I was looking and the price had just dropped from $199 to $129. Similar cameras in that price range didn't do what this one could. It has many features that I am still learning how to use but my favorites are the 10X optical zoom, stitching, sunset and video. This camera is perfect for everyday use.

I was happy to know, after searching around, that Best Buy was the only place to have the camera I wanted on sale. The only thing I was really upset about is that it didn't come with your average rechargable battery...although the batteries are rechargable. In this case, it comes with double AA rechargable batteries. It can be nice in the situation where you haven't charged them, you can just throw any double AA's in. But the charger doesn't come with it like most cameras. I guess the good outweighs the bad though. I would definitely recommend the camera to others!

We bought this camera for our trip it has been a great camera, slim easy to hold just point and shoot and takes great quality pictures in dark or bright light the video has been great too, only thing is you will need a memory card to go with it, the pictures are very easy to download too with internal or memory card, great zoom and panoramic photos too, over all we are very happy and satisfied with this camera.

I boought this camera for two things, the price (was on sale) and the 10x zoom, as I take a lot of pictures of critters far away, such as butterflies. However, I was truly surprised with the abundance of controls, features, and other things which allow for the technically minded to go wild. Another plus is the lenses are real glass, making for better optics. Pictures are stunningly clear, and are high definition too. Has a wonderful panoramic setting, allowing for scenic shots.

I bought this camera as a replacement to a samsung camera that had all the bells and whistles...most of which i never used. I love this camera. it is easy to use ..because all you do is set the options and then start snapping pics and everything is done automatically. that being said, the battery life did appear to be pretty short, but being that it takes AA, that wasnt even that much of a problem.... good camera , purchased at an even more awesome price.

We had a more expensive Kodak Camera but it was dropped and hasn't worked since. We were worried that since this camera was not as good, that we would be disappointed, but so far we are pleased. The other camera had a better zoom and worked better in low light, but for the money this camera is great. It takes good pictures and it is easy to use. It is also a little bit smaller and easier to carry on the go.

First camera I have ever owned was talking to the best buy representative and she said its a good camera but is lacking when it comes to the brightness of the pictures. I got home and took a couple of pictures and noticed that the pictures are rather dark even with the flash but if you turn off the flash it will brighten up the picture in some cases.

This camera takes AMAZINGLY CLEAR pictures! I was pleased with my old digital camera, but am ECSTATIC with this one! I cannot get over the clarity of the pictures -- even at 10x zoom! It was DEFINITELY worth the money! I highly recommend purchasing this camera.
