A WASTE OF MONEY! DO NOT BUY!

Ok, let me start off by saying that I am a genuine lover of kodak since 2005 when I purchased the high zoom 5.0 MP Z740 complete with photo printer. It made a fan out of me and I still have it to this day. That's why on my last visit to Best buy, when I went looking to get something a little smaller for those on-the-go outings but still have a good quality cam, I immediately went for the M753. It was small and compact, easy to take around, really well priced and if my Z740 was any indication of the photo quality, this camera was the one for me. I immediately put it to use, even discarding the box once I got home. After spending the next few days snapping photos where ever I could I began to notice when reviewing the pics that they seemed to be turning out grainy. At first, I thought it was the lcd screen, but soon after putting them on the pc to print I realized that photos were infact blurred and grainy. I also noticed two things about the camera that I hadn't noticed before which was first that the camera had no AF assist light, which is helpful in focusing and adjusting in darker settings and secondly, the actual size of the pictures were on average 800 to 900 KB (the average picture size for a digital camera 5 MPs and up are about 1MB) which is usually associated with cams 3 MPs and down. I started medling with the settings in hopes that maybe on a different mode the pics would turn out better but to no avail. The pictures in particualar the indoor ones (which was one of the main reasons why I purchased the cam) were terrible. And worst yet I had discarded the box so returning it was out of the question. I then decided to come to the website and find out what others were saying about the camera and that is when I learned I was not alone in this discovery. I have since given the camera away and have purchased the much higher powered and highest rated canon SD1000. It's more money but worth every penny. My advice to those who are looking for a great cam at this size go with either a SONY or Canon and always read what others say about the cam before making a purchase. It will save you time and hopefully money!

    My First Camera

For over a month, I looked into cameras. I wanted something that was EXTREMELY user-friendly, as I'm a first time photographer. After searching high and low for perfection, I settled upon this Kodak camera. As soon as I opened the box it was clear that this camera was just what I was looking for. The directions and user manual are very straightforward. I knew exactly how to work my camera after just one read. The color modes and scene modes are very self-explanatory. In fact, simply fiddling around with the buttons will show you what they're all about. For someone who struggles with technology this was all I could ask for and more. The pictures are simply beautiful, as are the videos. I've taken pictures at the beach, an amusement park, of fireworks, in candlelight, and everything just comes out perfect. You simply change scene modes and the camera does all the work for you. Kodak even offers a free online service to post your pictures and an editing program for your computer in case you want to crop some things out or enhance your photo. I've even dropped my purple beauty several times and still it works like a charm, very hardy. All in all, I'd recommend this camera to any first time user like me. It's so easy to use, you just can't go wrong. I love it!

    Great Camera for the cost

I'll try for an unbiased account. Cost: The value for the camera is exceptional. Use: Ridiculously easy to use. Point and shoot. That's it. I still have not looked at the instruction manual and I purchased the camera in July 2008. It is now October. Quality: The pictures are quite good. Not exactly photo studio good, but the photos are good nonetheless. Features: Many different lighting options to capture the optimal photo. Zoom feature beyond the optical zoom is choppy. This is also true for the movie clip function. The zoom is "jerky". If you take a bad pic, you have it on the wrong setting. Battery life: Amazing. I purchased an extra battery at purchase and I have no need for it now. Battery life is great! Storage: Internal storage holds about 18 pictures at max resolution. Recommend to purchase a S/D memory card asap. My 4 GB card has no end to it. ^_^ I still have not scratched the surface. Take a look at the pics I took. Use your own judgement. you may have more demanding tastes than I do. Enjoy your purchase if you do get it. One last thing... I had it shipped to my home and I got it in two days, regular delivery. Very nice.

    Great Compact Camera

I've had this camera for a little less than a year, and I really like it. while it is much more compact than my previous camera, I've found it's not quite as slim as I would've liked. Still, it is compact enough to fit into a small purse and easy to take on the go. I really liked the fact that it had 7.0 pixels, more than most other cameras I had looked at. I also find Kodak's picture transfer and edit software easy to use, and really easy to share. One problem I was having with the camera was some of the pictures were coming out a little blurry after I took them. I found that if you are good about changing the light/scene setting on the camera, and take an extra second to focus the lense before clicking, the picture comes out great. It's just a little tedious to have to really focus the shot before you take it, but not terrible. It's not great for taking pictures of moving objects for this reason. Overall, a great camera that I enjoy using with ease and would recommend to others.

    Best Online Purchase Ever Made!

I have had a Sony Cybershot 5 mp for almost 3 years, I went looking for a replacement that had the same or better features, and found this Kodak M753 at BestBuy. It has more features than the Sony, for example the camera photo editing, like cropping and enhancement on the camera, no PC needed, also an undelete photo option for the "oops". The LCD screen is 2.5" on the Kodak, my Sony was 1.5" almost half the size. It is viewable in full sunlight, unlike the older Sony. The battery is a rechargeable Lith-Ion, no more "AA's" it is thin and light, not a heavy brick style camera. Video playback is the best I have ever seen, it plays video with audio, for it has a small speaker built in, and with the 4 gigabyte SD HC card, I can shoot 80 mins of video at 640x480 at 15 frames per sec., or over 3600 photos at a resolution of 7MP. The color we chose was Plumb, so I guess that is why I am Plumb Crazy over this new M753.

Cheap, but you get what you pay for!

I have spent some time with this camera, and have been fairly disappointed with it thus far. The camera body looks nice, but feels cheap and klunky like most Kodak products. They seem to be aiming this camera to teens who want a cute camera, but could care less about how it works. The camera is very slow, and takes very bad indoors shots. With good lighting, it performs ok. I very much dislike the battery charge system. While it is cool to have it charge off your computer, most of the time when I have my camera, I do not lug around a computer as well, so I have no way to charge this camera unless I buy a 40 dollar wall charging kit. While the camera does look good, and the price is nice, I would recommend spending a little extra for the Sony Cybershot W55, or a nice slim Fujifilm camera. Not only will you get better pictures, but you also won't get the trademark Kodak quirks like a lame battery system.

I bought this camera to replace another kodak camera that suffered damage to its casing a couple of months ago. The camera is great! it has awesome picture quality, it's very easy to use, and so far i've never used the camera so much that i've run down the battery (which some of my friends' cameras have trouble with). The camera is set to automatically review a photo after you take it and stays there for a while, which is kind of annoying, but i've discovered that if you just tap the button to take the pictures with it clears it quickly, so you can look at it and then keep taking pictures. I would say this is a great value product. clumsy people should make sure they have the service agreement with accident protection... and of course buy a case for it (found that out the hard way previously :-P)

    Bad Luck With This One

I bought one of these for my daughter for Christmas 2007. It came out of the box malfunctioning and Kodak had to send me a part so the thing would charge. A month later the Lens Assembly broke and I had to send it in (at my cost) for Warranty repairs. Another month later, the exact same problem, the exact same repair. Last week, the Lens Assembly went out again. Exact same problem three times in a row. Now I have to send it in again, and again at my cost, for a replacement. I think the camera takes pretty good pictures and the design of the unit is appealing but the quality is suspect at best. It is possible that I got a bad unit from the start but I won't be buying Kodak again any time soon.

I love Kodak Easyshare Camera's because they are so simple and easy to use! I still have my old c-type, but wanted to get this new m-type. This was a nice purchase from online best buy. The product came at the time it was supposed to, and it was not delayed. One thing is, I wish the camera came with a outlet charger. Oh, and I took some pictures the other day, with the internal memory. I put in the usb cable into the computer, but the pictures did not upload. Maybe its because of the low battery? I'm not sure, but I will be buying a charger, because for me this camera has not charged through the computer. Even when I installed the CD. Well hope it works for me.. once I buy the charger soon.. Overall it's a nice, pretty, sleek camera.

The camera is really good, it captures good images from near and far. The zoom to facus on the camera is extrodinary. It's easy to use and it's in a easy location when you are trying to focus on a picture to be taken. The color on every photo is great too. I also love the fact that it has 3 different color modes and 17 different scene modes. This camera doesn't bore me at all, because it has so much different modes to choose from to make a picture of my own taste. Like i said it's one of the best cameras that i have, especially with the price. EXTRODINARY!!

It's an excellent camera, especially for those new to a digital camera. It has many different modes that shoot a specific type of picture and make it look very nice. The pictures are very clear and crisp and videos are very clear as well The one thing I found wrong with the video mode is the zoom. The zoom is not very smooth. It's really sketchy and it's blurrs too much if you zoom, so I recommend just zooming in the with the regular camera and taking a picture. Also the battery is very draining. Especially if you use it in a party, ex. a christmas party, it can easily lose battery. But overall a very nice camera. I've been using it for 5 months now and it hasn't broke down, i didn't need to change anything

I brought this camera in June of '07 and I havn't been very pleased with this camera. I recently owned a HP which was getting old and not very reliable anymore, so I heard Kodak cameras were good. So I took a shot at this one, and the pictures outside were good in bright conditions, getting dark or dim outside I would have to put the camera away becasue the picture quaility was horrbile or the flash was unrealiable and couldn't see just about anything. I thought I could count on this camera it was very thin, very stylish, and looked good in the stores. It was easy to use but after awhile just got tired of it, so I replaced with a Sony digital camera and have been very pleased since.

Easy to Transfer Pics to Computer

I have had my EasyShare for a few months and like it. I don't normally take a lot of pics but its nice to know I have a camera in case something happens. With my 1 gig memory card, I am able to take 30 minutes of video, which is pretty neat. The technology may be complicated, but I use it in a simple way. I just take pics of things I think look cool, and then upload it on my computer. Not much more to that. The software that comes for the computer is nice to use, easy to work with. You just have to take some time getting familiar with it. Alot of the other features, such as Easyshare, I don't even use yet. Maybe some day . ..

It's so easy to use. I'm not a very "technical" person, so I needed a simple camera that took good quality pictures. This camera definitley fits the bill. There are so many choices for taking the right picture, night, motion, general, etc. This camera explains each feature so all you have to do is click around until you find the right mode. It also takes videos...and it's so easy. Then when you're ready to download your pictures you just plug in the USB cable and transfer them to your computer. It's just a very good quality camera, and so easy to use. I have recommended this camera to all my friends and family.

I bought this camera on sale two weeks ago from Best Buy. I first bought this camera for our pastor at Church for Pastor's Appreciation Sunday. Since this was his first digital camera, I showed him how to use it, set it up and charge the battery. I was so over wham by the ease of use, I had to buy one for myself. I had a old 3.1 MP Kodak EasyShare digital camera, but I sold it to a friend, and went to Best Buy and bought this one. I love the rechargeable battery, which last longer then two AA battery and the crisp clear pictures! You can't beat it for the price! I'll give this camera 5 stars! I highly recommend this digital camera!

I bought two of these cameras as Christmas gifts, for my parents and for my husband's parents. My parents loved it. Thought it was the best camera ever. My husband's parents on the other hand seem to have a problem with actually taking the pictures. There seems to be a long pause in between snapping pictures. Also the quality of the pictures is questionable. They have had some problems with their printer so that may be the issue. I think for the money, however, it is a good value. I think it is actually of better quality than my Sony Cybershot from what I have tried. In the end, I think it is actually a good value for the money.

Before purchasing this camera I had a Kodak V503 digital camera which I loved. This however is a huge upgrade, and cheaper too! It's small and light, charges using a USB cord through the computer or for $10 you can buy the wall charger, has a large indoor/outdoor LCD veiwing screen, allows you to crop and enhance pictures on the camera, many different picture taking settings and effects, and allows you to share your pictures with the press of a button.

The camera over all has tons options but picture quality is poor. I find myself taking pictires twice because most of the pictures turn out blurry. It eats battries like there is no tomorrow. I take the battries out when not using the camera and only put them in for the time I will be taking pictures. I am on the second camera my first one had problems after only a few days. I was told when buying it that it was a great beginer camera I don't belive that, there has to be another camera out there that has all the options and will take way better pictures. Save your money, do you homework, and buy a good camera.

I purchased this camera as a replacement for my Kodak V530, which now I see was an excellent camera. Since then I have been comparing every camera to this one. The 753 does not measure up. I tried it in-store and it seemed like a good choice. The image quality is really poor. I am a stickler for good pic quality. If you are not used to anything else than you might find this camera doable. I was truly spoiled with my V530. This purchase really felt like a true DOWNGRADE!!! I have returned this product and purchased the red Nikon Coolpix...I am satisfied now. :)
