    Bad Luck With This One

    Posted .

I bought one of these for my daughter for Christmas 2007. It came out of the box malfunctioning and Kodak had to send me a part so the thing would charge. A month later the Lens Assembly broke and I had to send it in (at my cost) for Warranty repairs. Another month later, the exact same problem, the exact same repair. Last week, the Lens Assembly went out again. Exact same problem three times in a row. Now I have to send it in again, and again at my cost, for a replacement. I think the camera takes pretty good pictures and the design of the unit is appealing but the quality is suspect at best. It is possible that I got a bad unit from the start but I won't be buying Kodak again any time soon.

    Great Camera

I love this camera! It takes great pictures...day time, night, moving objects, on the beach, etc. I especially love how the screen is big so you can see the pictures really well.

    Best/Simplest digital camera I've owned!!

    Posted .

I absolutely love this camera, it was perfect for what I was looking for. My older easyshare was difficult to use, had too many options and we could never get the flash to work at the right time, it took many dark pictures. I have only owned this camera for a week, but have taken over 100 pictures of my kids and haven't had a dark or bad picture yet... It is wonderful for the price paid for it. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking to find an inexpensive simple point and shoot camera!!

A WASTE OF MONEY! DO NOT BUY!

    Posted .

Ok, let me start off by saying that I am a genuine lover of kodak since 2005 when I purchased the high zoom 5.0 MP Z740 complete with photo printer. It made a fan out of me and I still have it to this day. That's why on my last visit to Best buy, when I went looking to get something a little smaller for those on-the-go outings but still have a good quality cam, I immediately went for the M753. It was small and compact, easy to take around, really well priced and if my Z740 was any indication of the photo quality, this camera was the one for me. I immediately put it to use, even discarding the box once I got home. After spending the next few days snapping photos where ever I could I began to notice when reviewing the pics that they seemed to be turning out grainy. At first, I thought it was the lcd screen, but soon after putting them on the pc to print I realized that photos were infact blurred and grainy. I also noticed two things about the camera that I hadn't noticed before which was first that the camera had no AF assist light, which is helpful in focusing and adjusting in darker settings and secondly, the actual size of the pictures were on average 800 to 900 KB (the average picture size for a digital camera 5 MPs and up are about 1MB) which is usually associated with cams 3 MPs and down. I started medling with the settings in hopes that maybe on a different mode the pics would turn out better but to no avail. The pictures in particualar the indoor ones (which was one of the main reasons why I purchased the cam) were terrible. And worst yet I had discarded the box so returning it was out of the question. I then decided to come to the website and find out what others were saying about the camera and that is when I learned I was not alone in this discovery. I have since given the camera away and have purchased the much higher powered and highest rated canon SD1000. It's more money but worth every penny. My advice to those who are looking for a great cam at this size go with either a SONY or Canon and always read what others say about the cam before making a purchase. It will save you time and hopefully money!

    Good buy for first timers

I love this camera! I have been looking for cameras for a while and I got this one and I love it! It's takes clear, good quality pictures. A great choice for new comers to digital cameras. The only problems I have had with mine is that my screen has already cracked a little (NOT major) and the pictures I have tagged as favorites don't show up in my favorites. I am also upset that you have to plug it into your computer to charge it. I do think this camera is worth the money though.

This is an incredible camera! It's so light, and super cute, and has a lot of good features. Like it has a rechargable lithium battery which is really nice cause you can just recharge it instead of buying new batteries. and it has a huge screen and a lot of different settings that i love. i absolutely love this camera! =] [and i ordered it and 2 days later it arrived, so it was super quick, and the price for this was unbelieveable! great steal for such a good little camera]

    kodak m753

This is a great and affordable (and easy to use!!) camera. The features are easily accesible and fun to use, AND the charging option is soooo convenient and included right in the box! It is charged by your USB cable to avoid the hassle of external chargers. Plus, the photos are quite decent. I'd say, all in all, that this camera is a winner.

I love my camera and take it with me everywhere I go. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because the batteries can be a little confusing.

Cheap, but you get what you pay for!

    Posted .

I have spent some time with this camera, and have been fairly disappointed with it thus far. The camera body looks nice, but feels cheap and klunky like most Kodak products. They seem to be aiming this camera to teens who want a cute camera, but could care less about how it works. The camera is very slow, and takes very bad indoors shots. With good lighting, it performs ok. I very much dislike the battery charge system. While it is cool to have it charge off your computer, most of the time when I have my camera, I do not lug around a computer as well, so I have no way to charge this camera unless I buy a 40 dollar wall charging kit. While the camera does look good, and the price is nice, I would recommend spending a little extra for the Sony Cybershot W55, or a nice slim Fujifilm camera. Not only will you get better pictures, but you also won't get the trademark Kodak quirks like a lame battery system.
