    Worst Camera ever

I got the purple camera for Christmas 08 and have enjoyed using it until I got home and loaded the software in the computer. My computer loaded it from the CD fine but refused to open up when I tried to use it. I called Kodak support, and got some girl who had no idea what she was doing...Tried loading from the website after uninstalling first try and still would not work. Got on support again and tried to chat and they must have been the same person. After uninstalling and reinstalling 10 times, I finally got an IT guy at work and said to uninstall your antivirus software as well as firewall. My firewall was off at the time, but never the antivirus...it finally started working THEN my original batteries from the packaging must have been old because, like other complaints I read about this camera, the power switch would not work. I just replaced batteries and it is working but if it does it again, I'm calling Kodak and packing it up and buying another brand. Those people are absolutely useless. I am a professional photographer and will use my 35 MM film camera over this one. I will NEVER buy Kodak again.

    A word of warning

I returned this camera to Best Buy a few hours ago, thankfully the kind people that worked there were great as always, but I felt the need to say something about the camera itself. This is NOT a reflection on Best Buy or Kodak, it seems like it's just this model. When I brought the camera home I put the 2 AA batteries in and pushed the power button. Nothing. Then again. Nothing. Finally after a few minutes it responded. But after taking 5 pictures I turned it off and left it alone for 5 days. When I tried to use it again, nothing. Batteries were dead? So I open a new pack of batteries, the camera comes to life, takes 7 photos, and dies again. I didn't leave it on, I didn't drop it, it just ate those batteries. If you look at some of the other reviews they had the same problem as I did, I'm not going to recommend another camera I just want to warn people to spend that extra $40-$50, it's worth it, especially at this time of year. There is nothing more frustrating than wanting to take a photo quickly and the thing won't turn on. Santa is quick.

I bought it as a second camera. I had a Olympus and I wanted my wife to also be able to take pictures at the same time. My Olympus has a better zoom but other than that this Kodak performs as well. My wife decided the Olympus is hers because she learned to use it. I carry three extra sets of rechargeable batteries in both my camera cases. I also have flashlights using the same type batteries which is like a bonus. The rechargeable batteries were well worth the investment I went to the 4gig memory card I also bought a USB CARD READER I like the card reader better than the factory cord to download pictures. It is faster and it works on both my cameras. With the reader I can also erase, view the pictures on PC or upload more pictures to the memory card and take the ones I want to print on the card to a place to print them without having to burn them to a cd or such.. I not a fan of the MOV format for the video with this Kodak, I do like the AVI format my Olympus uses better.

I bought the Kodak EasyShare CD913 9.2MP camera at another store and decided to take the unopen box back because of the cost. I researched online to find out if that model was discontinued but I didn't find anything on it nor did any other store have this model. I found out that the Kodak EasyShare C913 was that same camera, but it was a lot cheaper so I got this one instead. Due to me waiting so long at the store to pick up the item because they couldn't find, they gave me an additional $10 off of the camera. I started doing test shots and the outcome of the pictures are great. The video part I am still trying to learn how to use it. I really like this camera. I haven't had any issues with the batteries yet, but I plan to buy rechargeable batteries or try to get the docking station for the camera. As I said before great investment for personal use.

I got this camera for christmas 2 and 1/2 years ago. I reveiw it now cause ive seen it all.It was my first camera so it was very nice to begin with but i think i should move on. I LOVE THE LOOK!!! It is sooo easy to use so its is great for little people. Its only like $99.99 so it is a good price but not great. I was upset that you cant hear sound on the camera, and the screen is small. It is a good to average buy, but NOT excellent. I dont know if i would recomend it. The picture is the best one i have. Other is very bad.

i got this camera in april for my birthday, and it seemed pretty good at first, it took pretty good pictures, and i took it everywhere, but it got really stratched up, and one day i went to take pictures with my friends, i turned it on, and it wouldnt leave the favorites mode, i turned it off, changed the batteries, and tried again, and it still didnt change off of favorites mode it's a pretty good camera for people who aren't clusmy, and it's their first camera, but i'm definitely not going to get this camera or give it to anyone, it only lasted 7 months for me

It's a pretty good camera for a low price. It's easy to use and the pictures look great, but I'm not sure if the camera is a good quality one. When I bought this camera, I took it home to see how it works and test it out. It worked fine. I put it away for a few hours then went to use it again and it wouldn't turn on. I replaced the batteries but it still refused to work. No one was home so it would be impossible for someone else to mess with it. Great camera as far as use, but how long will it last?

I just barely received this product for Christmas after my other camera was stolen. But as soon as i got my hands on it, i knew it was cheap. The buttons are very loose and the screen already had a scratch. The first picture i wanted to take was of my little nieces buy the Christmas tree, but i couldn't see them at all! i went a head and snapped the picture and it came out alright. Then i checked the video mode, worse! In a moderately lite room, you still cant seen a darn thing. Overall this camera is not the best I've had.

I have used Kodak Easy Share Cameras since I bought my first digital camera, I have not used another type, but I have always been pretty happy with them. I have the printer dock, and I like it a lot, although like anything else, it has it's problems. One suggestion I have is to buy rechargable batteries and the charging dock at least. It is a bit of an investment up front, but if you take a ton of pics like me, it is great to just sit the camera on the dock and it charges the camera batteries. Works really well for me!

Good Buy For The Money !

I read a lot of reviews about this camera before I bought it. A lot of people complained about the power switch. I had problems with mine when I first got it and discovered it's not the power switch, it's the battery door ! I had to try several times before I finally got it to power up. After that, it works great! Pictures are really good. There were complaints about fuzzy pictures but if you read the directions it gives you focal distances. If you use them, it takes very good pictures !! Good price too !

I got this camera because it had a great price, it is a very good qualtiy and it has 9 MP (mega Pixels). The zoom is very good and doesnt blurr easily. It was ery easy to figure out how to use and the battery life is fairly good. The only thing that i wish i could change would be that when you are looking at your video on your camera that you could hear the sound. You can hear the sound, but only when you plug it into your computer. I am only 13 but it works great for me!!! Thanks! ~Gabby T

    worst camera I've ever used

For everyone giving this camera 5 out of 5 really got lucky. I, on the other hand, experience the worst battery life EVER for this camera. It would take a few pictures and then shuts off. I would have to adjust the batteries or put in new ones for it to turn back on. After a 2 months of use, this camera is permanently usesless. It does not turn back on anymore. So dissappionted........

Pretty Good Camera... Can Last Through ANYTHING!

I love this camera! It has great features, it's easy to use/set-up, it takes amazing quality pictures and can last through almost anything. I was on vacation and my camera accidentally got dropped on a 3rd floor (it dropped 40 ft.!) I went to get it and it had a crack... but when I turned it on... IT WORKED PERFECTLY! It still takes good pictures and I don't think you need to change the battery very often!

    disappointing camera

This camera did not hold the charge, neither did it work well with regular batteries. It always seemed to be dead whenever I picked it up to catch a cute pic. The closeups were always blurry and unusable. Once we used up the printer ink and went to purchase more, the price was high as was the paper. I ended up using my computer printer and threw out the printer that came with the camera.

I bought this camera for my son this Christmas, and right out of the box, the on/off switch didnt work. I cannot rate this for pic quality, ease of use or features, because we were unable to use ANY of those..... THis is NOT the quality I would expect from Kodak. Needless to say we are VERY disapointed. Don't waste your time or money on this.

Gave my wife the camera just before left on our trip out west. She was able to master the camera's functions and took great pictures. She said the camera felt very comfortable in her hand and easy to use. She said she would have liked a neck strap in place of the hand one, to offer both hands free.

I bought this as an upgrade to my older Kodak Easyshare camera. It takes great pictures and battery life is 10xs longer than most digital cameras. Good buy. I would definitely recommend.
