    Not happy at all

Purchased this camera in April 2011 - all we wanted was a point and shoot camera that takes decent pictures. I was happy with the camera at first. I should mention that we use the camera maybe 3-4 times a month sometimes maybe not at all. So, in the 6 months of having it have probably used it a total less than 20 times max. Went to use it at my daughters play - tried to zoom and the camera shuts off. There is an awful clicking noise when camera is just stationary. You can take pictures just don't try and zoom in. Then the other day I took 3 picture (no zoom) and it only saved 1 - and was having problems the whole time i was trying to take those 3 pics with the screen going black, etc. We have not damaged the camera in any way. I realize that this is not an expensive camera - but even for $80 or whatever we spent it should last longer than what we were able to get out of it. Don't think I will buy Kodak again.

I got this camera in Dec., just before my Godchild's college graduation. used it once ( less than 10 pics) and the doggone thing died on me. Battery life is bad, bad, bad ! ! Used several packs of batteries in less than 25 days. Picture quality is aweful and there were several blurred shots of "still subjects" . there was also a small white "dot" that showed up on the pictures and a white line. there was nothing on the subjects or in the room that should have caused these marks; I just don't get it. I have less than 12 pictures total of the graduation, Christmas and my daughter's birthday. And none are worth printing. The buttons on top of the camera are difficult to operate withouts fingernails; the auto adjust appears not to work. I am not a beginner and typically enjoy taking pictures of family/friend events to share, but I am not able to enjoy this camera as I did my old Kodak for years. I am returning this thing and will not recommend it to anyone.

I got this camera for my wife for Christmas. She loves it. She keeps it near by and takes lots of pictures. The 3" screen is great! It displays a bright crisp image. The video mode is surprisingly good (rivaling a Handycam). There are many different modes to chose from OR set it on auto and let the camera chose what is best. In the Auto mode, the pictures are very good. You can take a picture in a dark room and the picture comes out great (with the flash of course). Some digital cameras will not (or will take a very long time) snap the shutter if the room is dark. Red Eye is non-existent. We use Picasa 3 to import to the PC, organize, and edit the photos. It has a one click photo corrector\enhancer called "I'm feeling Lucky" and it really makes the photos pop. The disposable batteries are a great feature. Use Lithium Ion's for a very long life span.

I had a lot of problems initially using this camera. It is very complicated and has lots of features that are not easy to use. The directions that came with the camera were not very helpful. I downloaded the online user's guide, printed off the pages that I wanted and spent a lot of time wading thru them. I would have preferred a camera that was easier to use. The quality of the pictures is okay but there is a lag between each picture taken and a button has to be pressed to take another picture . Now that is a feature I really don't like. There is a "burst" feature that would allow more pictures to be taken at once but to get to that feature involves some time working thru menus. This camera also eats batteries. The tiny on/off buttons on top are hard to press and the camera often doesn't react when the buttons are pressed. I could go on and on but you get the picture. For the price, I have a camera that I can use but do not love.

    Great Camera for Beginner/Novice

Immediately out of the box, requires 2 AA batteries which comes with it. Since I own several cameras, I took them out and use my own rechargeable electrical type batteries(lithium). Point of ease and shoot for a beginner. The Zoom feature is a slider type thumb controlled on top of the TAKE PICTURE button. Great for the price for a closeup, if it isn't too far away. It does not come with a SD card, and they were on sale I purchased($10 on sale) a 4GB SD card which at 14 megapixel gives me more than enough pictures at 1500! It has advance features : self timer/burst modes/red eye reduction/share mode which are great for novices. For me, it's easier to just take the SD card out and dump it to the computer/printer. It comes with a cable/software if you want to use it for your computer.

    Nice Camera

This camera is very good for the price. I bought this today, I took about 100 photos with a nice 8 GB SD card in it. I Highly recommend a 8 GB because with this you can only take 20 min of video, yet take 4000 pictures. The setup is a little confusing, but it should take only about one minute. So far i am on the original battery that came with it but the indicator says they are low, yet when I first put them in it only had about half a charge. overall it is a nice camera. Here is a test shot I took of My Fish Tank.

I bought this as a Christmas present for a close friend. She had some issues learning how to use the Easy Share button but overall she quickly learned how to take the photos she desired. Like any digital camera it is necessary to read the instruction booklet. However the instructions are well written and clear, there is no guessing as to what is meant. She did get a little frustrated downloading and setting up the Easy Share feature into her computer. The program does take you back and forth several times and does not give good instruction when you have a question about how to proceed next in the download. The panorama feature is really great allowing you to make these types of photos right on the camera.

I purchased this camera in purple after having good success with the Kodak C813. Really wish I hadn't. Haven't even owned it a year and am looking to replace it. ~Pictures are horrible! ~Blurry even on the blur reduction option. ~Flash takes forever to recharge. ~Pictures are dark or completely black. ~Cannot take consecutive pictures. ~The worst part? It sucks the battery's charge like crazy! Brand new batteries last maybe 6-8hrs if I'm lucky. That's unacceptable! Plus this problem seems to be getting worse the longer I own it. Very frustrating camera. Only good thing was the color....next time I won't be swayed by what color it is. Hard lesson to learn but one I won't soon forget.

Had this one for only 10 months. The Share Button, to transfer photos, won't work anymore. Re-intalled software from disk and also Kodak website. It downloads but won't work. It says it cannot detect camera. What a waste! Sorry I bought. It took nice pictures, but what's the use if you can't transfer them anymore. I used to have luck with Kodak cameras. I am looking for another camera now. No more Kodak--going bankrupt anyway. PS. Always use rechargeable batteries, or you will be forever be changing batteries. You save so much $$ with a charger and rechargeable batteries!!!

I got this camera as a Christmas present for my mother, and she is not very savy with electronics. She wanted a camera that just took pictures, was easy to operate, and did not have a bunch of bells and whistles. This camera is wonderful for that purpose and is very user friendly. The picture quality is very good for most snapshots and generic picture taking. (5 x7's and we even printed some 8 x 10's and they looked good) Overall I would recommend this camera for novice picture taking and it is a wonderful price.

This camera is great for the price, takes very good pictures with little effort, We have a digital slr, and this will never replace it, but its good as a back up camera. my only problems with this camera is the size of the buttons and a short to medium battery life. If you have large hands then this is not the camera for you, it is perfect for small hands and children.

Don't buy this camera. The software does not work

After many hours of trying and the help of 3(three) help agents by telephone, I could not get the software, so-called "Easy Share", to download. Even after they sent me a CD, it wouldn't work. The camera was not even recognized by my computer. Otherwise, it seems like a reasonable camera. Not that easy to use, but a great price. If you don't want to download pictures to your computer or other place, buy it. Otherwise forget t. I'm sending it back for a different manufacturer.

I purchased this camera as a backup camera when I went on a recent vacation. Turns out, I like this one much better. It is very easy to use and I like that it uses normal batteries versus the rechargeable batteries. Pictures a very clear and I carry it all of the time. Also, uploading pictures to my iPad is a breeze.

I've not had any worries about this camera, nor it's predesessor. This camera replaced one that was stolen in a recent break-in. The former worked flawlessly and this has too. I use it to take pics of dinner theatre guests and it's performed very well. Color saturation and pic clarity are great.

Good beginner camera. Low price reflects cheap feel / materials. Buttons (especially power button) seem weak almost sure they will be a problem after extended use. Other than that the camera is great. Features are easy to navigate. Kodak Share software does save time uploading pictures to drive / social networking servers.

The camera is small, lightweight, and good for capturing basic memories on a trip. It is slow to recover. It doesn't have many options. The optical zoom is descent. I have found out I prefer a greater zoom for capturing wildlife and want more photo options (rapid fire, etc.).

I am very happy with this camera. It takes great pictures and video and is small enough to fit into a pants pocket. The only drawback is that it is sometime hard to get the camera to focus in low light.
