    I was actually impressed...

I got this camera along with the 2-year warranty since I'm very clumsy around the second week of November. It's a decent camera. I ordered the gray and it still has a slight brown color to it but I don't mind. My only issue with it is that, when you give a stranger the camera to take a picture for you, it will most likely come out blurry. Because you're supposed to let the camera sit on the image, click it halfway and when you get a green box then you take the picture. But there's plenty of scene settings to choose from so the camera knows what you're trying to do instead of letting it figure it out for like 2 seconds. It takes good quality videos too, better than I expected it too. It's not too complicated of a camera or is it ridiculously simple. I suggest you go check it out in the store first because I was expecting a bigger size but it was a pleasant surprise. I was also impressed with the battery life. I haven't had to really charge it much and I think that's really great. I can take about 350 pictures before I even start to think about the battery. And charging it is very simple. You put the USB cord in the camera and plug it into the wall. You can take the attachment off the USB cord to plug it into your computer to upload the pictures. And as this camera is very fragile, I suggest you buy a case with it even though it's about $14. I'm trying to be as specific as possible because the other reviews made me a little skeptical since they were a little vague.

First thing is first, this camera does NOT shoot 720p video. It only shoots VGA at 30 fps. The video is decent, but this is better geared to pictures. This is one of the best priced 5x zoom cameras out there for only $150. Picture quality is decent, and Kodak's smart capture helps with that. One of the cool features on here is facial recognition, which is different than the face detection it has. This feature lets you tag up to five different people on your camera and can auto recognize their face in every picture you have, letting you browse your photos just by the person you browse by. On top of this, you can tag your photos and videos to auto upload to facebook, or youtube, or someone's email whenever you connect it to your computer. The downside to this camera is the shutter button, which makes it more awkward to take a shot and takes some getting used to. On occasion my finger has slipped over the flash and taken some weird shots. For the price, size, and features, this is a solid buy.

I bought this camera so that I could take pictures of Germany when I went on my trip. So far, it has reached my expectations of what a good camera should have on it. It has a great "smart" feature, which automatically adjusts the settings, and it also has a manual section which has about 20 different settings. The "Share" button on the camera makes it so much easier to send pictures to E-Mail and Facebook without having to go through the million different steps with a regular camera. A feature that is not so great is the zoom. It only zooms to 5x, whereas I wish it would zoom to 10x or 15x. The camera takes decent videos, and has beautiful pictures. The software of the camera is preloaded into the camera, so all you have to do is plug it in. Another helpful feature is the "i" button on the camera, which gives you information about different features. Overall, I am impressed with what I got for $130, and I wouldn't trade it for any other $130 cameras.

This camera knows how to focus, corrects its imaging and controls the flash without you having to do anything. Pictures are prefect in my opinion. In a rush, I bought this camera and Wow has it saved me frustration. I used high quality DSLR's in the past and because of my skill level....had few great pictures. Today, with this camera I can save the weight, the cost and the headaches. I just found its simplicity and quality too tempting to continue using DLSR's. Zoom is limited to 5x but usually 5x will get you by. To take this camera out, shoot the pic and trust it will look good 8 X's out of 10, fabulous! Kodak did a wonderful job concerning quality, function and performance.

I had pre-ordered this camera and I'm glad I bought it. Its well made, easy to use, instructions are easy to read, takes clear pictures and I enjoy taking pictures with it. I have used it almost every day since I got it and it works without fail each time. The buttons are easy to get at and the optical and digital zoom is great. I don't use video on ANY still camera because that is what camcorders are made for!! I liked this camera so much, I also bought it in grey. The one thing I did first was to read the instructions and I have not had a problem with a thing. It is well worth buying.

I purchased this camera because I own a Kodak SLR Digital Camera that is absolutely amazing, but I wanted something I could keep in my purse for ease of carrying. I researched this camera and read generally mixed reviews; some good, some bad. However, it was in the price range I wanted to spend and I have such excellent results with my SLR so I went for it. I charged it and off I went on vacation with it. I took about 17 pics before the battery ran out. OK, I figured maybe it needed another good charge. I charged it up again and nothing....nada.....zip. The battery would not re-charge. The only way the camera would work is if it was plugged into the electrical outlet on the wall. Not very convenient ya think. I returned from vacation yesterday and dropped off the two disposable cameras I had to buy to take pics, then went and returned this camera. Not worth the headaches.

I bought this camera because i needed one fast and this one was on sale. I didnt think I was gonna be fully satisfied with it but much to my surprise, the picture quality was a lot better than I expected. It has various features, nice flash, light enough to carry in my purse, and is easy to use. My favorite feature is that it takes good pictures even at night! I would definitely recommend this to a friend and I will be buying another soon as a gift. I gave it 5 stars because I have yet to find any problems with it.

Bought this as a gift to my 12 year old as his first digital camera. I was amazed to see all the awesome features this camera has. It is absolutely worth every dollar. The coolest thing is you can upload directly to all the social networking sites like Facebook, Youtube etc in a heartbeat. Picture quality is amazing. I have been using a Fuji Finepix for so many years and found this new Kodak to be everything the Finepix is and some more..... Awesome camera.

    blurry pictures

I got this camera as a gift and initially the pictures were ok...blurry in low light and with any movement, otherwise pretty good...that was until our vacation to Hawaii. I treat my cameras well and make sure they do not get tossed around but for some reason it seems like the lens became loose inside and every picture from our vacation was ruined. Focused in the middle and blurry on the edges with the corners all in black. I changed the settings numerous times to try to fix the problem but no no avail. I only had the camera for 6 months before it broke. I really have never been more disappointed with a point and shoot. Dont buy this camera!

I have this on order in blue but also bought a different color from Kodak. This is really a nice camera. It's easy to operate and takes clear pictures. The price is right and its lightweight. I first read the instructions and have been happy ever since. When I shoot video, I have never used ANY still camera, that is what camcorders are for!! The LCD in the back is very clear and the info button is a good idea. This camera is worth buying.

I expected a better picture quality based on the ratings, but for the price that I paid, I would say it's a fair value. The photo quality isn't up to par with what I would expect from a 12 megapixel camera, but it's a really cute camera, very compact. It also takes a long time in between shots, which can be annoying in certain situations. Overall, in my opinion, it's a fair product. I wish the picture quality were better, but I will probably keep it until it's time to replace it.

I like the camer better than the previous models that I have used of the same type; the only downfall that I didnt like about this camera was the the face detection regarding tagging pictures is not really what I expected. However, I believe that this camera was a good buy on my behalf and have no regrets with my purchase.

I never got to see if the picture quality was good because the camera never charged . I was going to use it on a vacation, but as it didn't charge, I returned it when I came home. Also the buttons on the camera, I had to use a magnifying glass to see them. I just didn't need to put myself through all that nonsense. I went an bought 2 throw-away cameras and got nice pictures. I am not techno-savay and don't have a person who is living with me

Great camera for carrying in purse or pocket for those times when you wished you had that camera with you. Price was good and so far I have not had any trouble with it. Unfortunatly the SDHC card is not compatible with my HP photo printer as I do not have a Kodak printer. I will be looking into additional SD cards but just not the SDHC ones. Great camera for what I use it for!!!!

I found the camera very easy to understand & use. The price was very reasonable for the quality. I opted for a larger mem card for the long stretches between downloads. After I saw how easy that proceedure was, I can admit the larger card wasn't necessary. The self portrait function is not very good though. Distant shots are wonderfully detailed.

This is easy to use - really good for every day. Soemtimes the quality isn't the best but that might just be me not having it on the right setting. Sometimes the settings aren't exactly clear to understand. But for what I use it for, it works just fine. Mostly family pictures and some online sales. Takes great up close pictures too and automatically adjusts.

I bought this for my wife who always likes to have a camera just in case. We have a Nikon for other things, but this is compact enough to fit in her purse, and better than any phone camera. I also bought her a case because one time she had water accidentally fill her purse with water, and it damage a different one she had.

Overall I'm very pleased with this camera. The pictures are nice and clear and the preview size is very generious. This is a substantial upgrade from my Sony Cybershot 4.1 Megapixel. The battery life is very good too.

Basically bought this camera to replace another EasyShare that was stolen. I like the small size that the camera has and the pictures are a good quality for this camera. The lcd screen looks a little fuzzy before taking a pic, but that doesn't affect the picture quality.
