Customers are saying

Customers highly value the Ektra 4G LTE cell phone for its impressive 21-megapixel camera and affordable price point of $100. While some customers have expressed concerns about the phone's design, particularly the large rear camera lens, the lack of available cases, and the display's susceptibility to scratches, the overall sentiment towards the phone remains positive.

Just ordered this phone because my old phone just stopped working. It arrived before expected delivery date and so far so good. I'm not a big electronics person but it does what it's supposed to do. Battery life is good and the camera takes great pictures. I'm the queen of budget phones and this is no budget phone. The only con is not being able to find a phone case but that's cool they have screen protectors and pouches for the phone though.

    2 & Half Stars:There are better Cam/phone choices

Purchased this EKTAR as "back up" phone/camera. 1st of all, the KODAK brand raises high expectations for camera ability. As a phone, I have no use beyond casual internet browsing/ email usage. I have only downloaded 6 apps to phone. The 32GB capacity (about 20gb is decent). I'm not into blogging nor social media, so my needs for the phone aspect were more than met. Everything runs OK for non current android MARSHMALLOW. Bullit makes this Kodak Ektra phone (hmmmm sounds like the great "EKTAR" films). Camera wise this phone is at best average (good light conditions) and mediocre at times (indoor flash, dark conditions). Phone was immediately upgraded to v2.010.00a for camera performance improvements but issues remain. white balance is a problem, when recomposing a shot and several images are taken, it throws off balance and gives odd color results. Shutter lag is a problem when using the dedicated side shutter button, avoid it and use the on screen shutter release. In low light conditions strange color banding, fringing, reminiscent of 3rd party cameras is evident (see attached photo). my MOTO g5 plus takes better low light images with its lesser 12MP lens. The optical OIS is great to have but also yields mixed results. the LCD display pumps up the color saturation, when images are uploaded to computer, Adobe PS; color saturation is different. Flash photography is mediocre even with dual LED flash system. The sony provided 21MP sensor needs better firmware to lift this phone to decent camera purpose. As it stands the phone does not live up to the KODAK reputation for quality. This EKTRA is not worth the full retail price, I would have never considered it at the price point. (I purchased for about "fifty" dLs) At that price it is OK, but there are better phone "camera" choices. PS: good luck finding a protective cover

This phone is not for everyone. It looks more like a pocket camera than a phone. I can only count a few minuses: missing fingerprint reader, average battery, hard to find phone cases, and still on Android 6.0.

After reading many of the reviews I kind of thought that at the sale price it may be a pretty good phone and Camera, as it turns out after a couple days of using it I think fantastic would be the word to use, probably the best deal I've had on a phone in many a year, and the camera is superb

The phone is great for the sale price but not MSRP. The camera is good for price of 200 or under. I would not compare it to the flagships of Samsung, LG, MOTO, The major limitation of the phone is that its software is outdated (2015), NO further software update is announced.

At under a hundred dollars, this was a good buy for an unlocked phone. The MediaTek processor does ok for a budget phone. The camera is fine for a budget phone. The RAM is great for a budget phone. So basically, what this all sums up to is that this is a good choice for a budget phone. It's not a high end phone, and it is certainly not worth the regular price tag on it. The camera doesn't measure up to the cameras on the current high end phones, but it is acceptable for the price range and easy to use with a dedicated shutter button. For a hundred bucks it handles everything at or above expectations for phones in that class. It does feel a little weird in the hand because of the hybrid camera/phone design, but it has a lanyard strap. I bought this for my grade school son who has been asking for a camera and who has several educational apps that he runs on it. It works well for him, and is much easier for him to use than the camera on my phone. When he gets a little older, we will probably add a prepaid SIM.

I was little hesitate to buy it. But this is a great camera phone , I bought 3 phones for 99 each and gifted 2 and kept one. The display is not scratch resistance. that is the only issue I can say about the phone for now after 2 months

Photos are great when taking pictures with it’s camera, to use it as a phone is too bulky. It’s get quite hot when using camera or even when navigating the internet.

I purchased this phone for my grandma. It had everything I wanted to give her USB C (for continuity with other devices), Decent Camera and big screen. She came from a budget windows phone and at 100$ there was no reason to not give this a shot. She has not complained at all about the phone since she has received it. As far as the camera is concerned, it could be better. Any flagship (Pixel, iPhone X, S8) would put this quality to shame. It's good with good lighting but in the dark it suffers mightily. I figured it was good enough for her and a huge upgrade over what she had before. It is really big and hard to find cases for which is a big con, I would like her to have a case for the phone. It being unlocked is a big plus, we Don't even have Cricket so on ATT this phone works great.

The strength of this phone is its excellent camera features. Of course you would expect that from Kodak, whose niche is photography.
