Customers highly value the Ektra 4G LTE cell phone for its impressive 21-megapixel camera and affordable price point of $100. While some customers have expressed concerns about the phone's design, particularly the large rear camera lens, the lack of available cases, and the display's susceptibility to scratches, the overall sentiment towards the phone remains positive.

So you would expect that a camera company teaming up with a phone company produce an above average camera phone. This is the ultimate exception. It's disappointing. The camera takes ages to load, the phone itself takes so much time to boot. The system is quite glitchy in general and the 32GB memory just makes it slower to access any images. The concept is GREAT. I like the way the camera software made using the camera feel like a DSLR, but it's FAR from it. I still have it as an emergency, emergency phone... but I wouldn't bother getting this for anything other than calling. Additionally, the case for the phone is exuberantly expensive and just not worth any additional expense.

I bought this phone for lower price. This Android phone is good for the price I bought. Camera is decent, Phone Quality is good. The only thing I hate is, backside lens is so big.

Get it on sale for a great deal

If you can get this phone on sale (preferably under 150) it is a great deal. For the specs at that price point it is great. (NFC and 3gigs of RAM, FHD screen and a good camera!) I bought this because it was cheap (on sale) and needed something to hold me over for another month or so but I might keep this one for a while.
Coming from a 6" screen, I found the size nice to hold. A 5" screen is not something I would use as much for reading but I wanted something that fit easier in the pocket without the need to pull it out every time I sat down. It is thicker than most newer phones but not overly so, I still like the feel of it even if it is all plastic. To my non-expert eyes, the screen itself looks very good as far as resolution and color saturation.
Reading reviews prior to purchase I was not expecting much from the camera but I was pleasantly surprised at the photos; snap a pic and run it through Snapseed and the results look pretty good.
Other thoughts:
-It has an audio enhancement called BesSurround, BesLoudness and BesAudEnh, which tweak the output some, not the best but better than nothing.
-There's and option for adaptive brightness, though it doesn't seem to work (at least on my unit)
-Runs a near vanilla android, which has both pros and cons to it
-That hump at the bottom of the phone looks weird but adds to the effect of using a camera, some may not like it
-Button placement is weird, it's my main gripe. The power button is not where I would ever expect/used before, it's too low and had to get a car mount that did not block it otherwise there is not way to turn on the screen when in the cradle (no double tap, no fingerprint).
Overall I would say the phone is good if you can buy it on sale, at the regular price I would look elsewhere.

I have to review this as value prr dollar. I bought my wifes on sale. It was 99.99. plus i bought her cricket wireless as a carrier. Another 50.00 off the phone plus 20 percent off the price of the card. 2 months service and a phone for under 110.00 including tax. Delivered straight to the house. Easy to activate. Sure. There are better phones out there. But, not for 50 to 100 dollars. Would I spend 399.99 no. But I did not. Buy it on sale. Unbelievable deal.

Moving up from LG to Kodak; Huge move up
32G of memory with expandable micro SD card a big Plus
Pic quality for $100 phone is hard to beat. Nice DSLR controls for pictures. Please don't compare this to $200+ phones; Its not. If you are going to spend more then $200 then you have more choices.
It has a unique look and definitely stands out in the crowd.

I did got it on a good deal, but I returned it after 1 week. Mainly, it is because the Bluetooth feature didn't work with my SYNC, it just keep on dropping after only 2 minutes, and I have try at least 5 other phones in my car...=.=, you know we have to be hands free while driving. it also didn't have the finger print feature like others in this price range. Clumsy in design and battery capacity is on the low side. The only reason for me to buy this in the first place is for the camera, and it did works as expected.

Bought for $99 (yes, a great deal). Quickly realized how cheaply it is made. The awkward styling forced me to return the phone. Neither a good phone nor a handy camera. The weird positioning of buttons is another major issue. Best buy charged $35 as re-stocking fee. Decided to donate instead. Very wrong decision.
