    NOT quite ready

STAY AWAY FROM THIS PRINTER AND LIKELY ANY KODAK PRINTER AT THIS POINT!!! This printer is just not ready for even a home use, yet. I had purchased one of the original Kodak printers when they first came out due to the advertised lower ink costs. When it worked, same with this one, it worked well for the home use it was intended for. The issue is that the Kodak Printhead has flaws that they have failed to fix from the initial designs. After 2 printhead replacements from my original Kodak printer, I moved away from Kodak to other printers. Years later, when in the market for a new wireless printer, I thought I would give the Kodak Hero 7.1 a shot. Seemed to work adequately, although a little buggy with the wireless network. Then, there would be times when nothing would print except a faint line. No warning or fading over time, just practically a blank page printing. After a day or so, then it seemed to clear up for a while. But then another issue. Long story, short, after burning through ink to do printhead cleanings and printing test pages, Kodak is replacing the printhead on this printer. Of course, shipping can be 8 days. So I am potentially 8 days without a printer along with my children who are in high school and have projects. When I asked about any kind of discount for ink, I was told that I would not get any and the agent refused to hand me off to any type of management. Actually, she said that she did not have any supervisors in the Chat support area. So now the ink I JUST put into my printer is at half after all the test the Kodak rep had me do before agreeing to send me a new printhead. And I expect that like my last printer, this is only a temporary measure until the printhead fails again. I am shopping for a new printer tonight.

I bought this printer primarily to print off homework and papers because the ink is so cheap. I've had it for 3 days now and I've already used it to print off 80 pictures, 4 papers, and 25 fancy envelopes for Christmas cards! The pictures take a little bit longer to print but i'm not complaining.... plus, they had a lot of detail. I absolutely love this printer! It is so easy to set up, so easy to use, and the multiple functions it has are amazing! I especially love the fact that I can print 2-sided (saves paper) without having to touch/flip the paper. After all the printing I've done my black ink cartridge is STILL FULL and the color cartridge is at about 3/4 to 1/2 full... AFTER 80 PICTURES.... THATS AMAZING! I love this printer.... the best purchase I've made!!

This is our second Kodak printer after many years of using various HP printers. The Kodak printer is nicely designed/attractive and the best part is that the ink cartridges last quite a long time, are less confusing to purchase and cost significantly less than the HP cartridges. It does everything that we need - and more - including producing multi-page PDFs from the scanner, and has a fairly user-friendly interface - both on the printer itself, and on the software/computer interface. We would highly recommend this printer and hopes that Kodak continues to produce them!

This printer was a great deal! It was a real bargain! It cost less after shipping and tax from Best Buy than it did BEFORE shipping and tax from other sellers. It is really affordable to replace the ink (we've already bought replacement cartridges) and it doesn't use ink nearly as quickly as our old printer. We've printed hundreds of pages and the print quality is phenomenal. I recommend this because it is so much cheaper in the long run.

Great printer for the money. Works great with all the computers in the house. It's a lot quieter than the older model Kodak printers but the quality of the prints are still superb. The ink is still the best and least expensive on the market. You can't go wrong with this printer.

This printer is no better than a cheap printer

I am not impressed with this printer at all. I bought it so I could do some Digital scrapbooking. It is not even worth printing pictures with it. They all come out dark, even when I lighten the photos. I am very disapointed in it. Will have to buy another one. I had a cheap $39.00 printer once that did better then this printer! Don't buy it! Not worth the money at all..
