Retiring my old HP C7100 series All-in-one and always having purchased HP brand I decided to give the Kodak ESP6150 a try, glad I did too. No more hassling with all those different, EXPENSIVE ink cartridges. The HP was a nightmare on the ink, it finally got hung up in the "replace yellow" cart so thought it was a good time to upgrade. With the duplexing, 30-page auto document feeder, fax(33.6kbps), 200-page high-capacity input tray and the lowest ink costs in the industry the ESP6150 was an easy choice. They're also using pigmented inks that do NOT smudge or run. Freshly printed pics easily hold up to an accidental water spill. You can connect the All-in-One to your computer via Usb, ethernet or wireless. I originally had used the ethernet connecting to my router and that worked great for my computer but my wireless devices weren't picking it up so I switched over to the wireless connection, now all of my devices see and print to it with no problem. If you're an iPhone, iPod or iPad user Kodak has an App for it and it works great. Just make sure to set it up on the wireless connection. Installing the Kodak Print Center software and getting the All-in-One up and running was a breeze. Love it! Print documents up to 32/30 ppm in black/color. Copy documents up to 27/26 cpm in black/color.

I bought this printer because my laptop was not compatible with my old HP and I need to scan docs for my business. Have been very happy with the quality of my old HP K80; the quality was laser jet comparable, but had to make a change. Bought this one because of features, ink cost, and price on sale. I love the way this printer looks. Love the display. Control panel is easy to navigate. Installation was pretty painless with a few glitches along the way, but setup for networking was easy and worked with my network right away. Cool that I can even print from my Android phone using an app I downloaded from the Android market. Sounds great, and it is, for the most part. Unfortunately, I am disappointed with the print quality, especially for black and white text. The quality doesn't come close to what I got from my trusty old HP. It is not crisp, bright, or what I would call high quality, but average, in that it is a bit dull, almost fuzzy. I haven't used with Kodak paper yet, which is recommended for best quality, but I would have hoped that I would still get good quality with the same value paper I used with the old HP and continue to save more money with the new, less expensive Kodak ink. I haven't decided yet if I will keep it. It is packed with features and I love printing wirelessly from my laptop. It's almost perfect, but if I needed to print resumes or something really important, I just don't know if the print quality would be good enough. Most people have said the quality is great, so I guess I am picky, but I expected to get better quality than my old, 9 year old printer and instead I am a bit disappointed. Hope this helps. All in all this is a great value for the features you get. Depends on how you use the printer, I guess. Good luck shoppping!

Easy to set up. Seems clunky. Doc feeder problem.

Like most people, I bought this printer based on the promise of inexpensive ink replacement costs. I have yet to replace the inks, but I trust other reviews that this is the moment that this purchase will begin to pay off. The printer set up very easily. I was very pleased that it recognized my wireless network without difficulty. The set-up software is a plus for this printer, in my humble opinion. The printer does what it's asked, for the most part. Print quality is mediocre. I have a Canon for photo printer so I don't need this unit to do much more than basic printing and copying. It's clunky and loud, though. The build quality seems average for a printer in this range, but when it fires up and starts to print, I start to get nervous about the build quality. All of that grinding and noise just sounds a bit worrisome to me. I did have to return this unit due to a failure of the auto document feeder (wouldn't pick up sheets). The Best Buy manager said that he hasn't had many returns of this unit, though. I'm actually going to probably try to replace it with the same unit (the lure of the cheap ink has me willing to try once more).

    Very good MFC

I am very happy with this printer. I have been a faithful Hewlett Packard MFC user for the past 13 years but after reading reviews here and on 2 other different retail sites I decided to look at other systems as I was very dissapointed with the quality of HP MFC and the quality of customer service . After spending over a month looking around I decided on the Kodak system. The reviews were better and I found the features I wanted. The printer was very easy to setup and was pretty much effortless. It is the first printer that I ever owned that you have to install the print head but I didn't care. Setting up the wireless feature was easy and both laptops connected on the first try. I have had this printer for just about 2 months and am very happy. I do wish the color was brighter/deeper as I find the print is a little dull looking. The scanning is fast and in my opinion much better than my HP. Fax machine is quick and is user friendly. It is a little quieter than my old HP and the size and weight is perfect for a small area.

I replaced my Lexmark with this printer because I was tired of having to buy expensive ink quite often that our local Walmart did not carry. The Kodak printer turned out to be a better one all around. It is very easy to set up, functions well, and simple to use. My Lexmark had two areas to set up auto answer for the fax and for the two-sided printing, whereas, the Kodak has only one area for these. It doesn't make sense to have a network printer if you have to run down stairs (or whereever you keep the printer) to turn on or off the two-sided printing. The only complaint that I have about this printer (Kodak) is that I cannot set up my two-sided printing on automatic without it making the print smaller on the page. So it doesn't do you any good to set smaller margins because it won't print it unless you do two-sided printing manually. Printing on one side is ok. Otherwise this is a great printer! The ink is much cheaper but not sure if it lasts any longer. Maybe slightly.

    A pain to set up

After struggling through over two hours in set-up, running through a series of absurd errors (paper jam when there was no paper installed) wrong paper size (while using standard 8.5 x 11 inch paper), multiple configuring errors and 2 lengthy calls to tech support, I discovered that the Ethernet cable supplied by Kodak for this machine will only allow the printer to work if set up through a router. I’ve not used a router for ages, instead, I've been using an air card to connect to the net for the past several years. I was told by tech support I would have to drive to my nearest store to buy a USB cable to allow my printer to work! Outrageous – I would expect Kodak to include all cables needed to allow their printer to function out of the box with any modern computer. The printing quality of the Kodak machine is no better than my 10 year old HP printer and the speed only slightly better. I won't even bother with the scanner and fax as I already have other ones that work fine. I would not recommend this product to friends or even enemies!

I ordered this printer as a replacement for my HP All-in-One that I have been using for a couple years. I have been a devout HP fan in the past and after reading reviews and product information on the Kodak printers, I decided to take a chance on switching from a product line that I trust without question. This printer lives up to all expectations, is easy to setup, and prints exceptional documents and photos. I would highly recommend this printer to anyone looking for a cost efficient alternative to other printers. I have not found any print cartridges that match the price of Kodak printer cartridges.

Purchased this printer in 11/2010; for the first four months, it worked great. The toner cartridges may be less expensive, but I changed them much more often than the HP equivalent. In the last week, the printer/scanner(2) has failed three times. There have been two major software downloads; the last (yesterday) took 40 minutes to download and I have DSL. Although the issue may be with the software and not the machine itself; it absolutely will not operate without the software being correct. Too many problems for me.

6150 is great except for the fact that the ADF and paper tray are equipped to handle longer paper but the output tray is designed to only handle 8-1/2x11. When printing on longer paper the output tray pushes the paper out and onto the floor/desk. If you are not watching closely, and your paper falls out onto the floor you will have to collate the pages when you pick them up. I've emailed and spoken with Kodak on several occasions and they admit the problem but basically say...oh well. If you know you're going to be printing more than occasionally on long paper than NO Kodak printer output tray is designed to handle...this is per Kodak.

I waited until I used the printer awhile before reviewing. I bought it because it doesn't take the new cartridges (one for each color) which is expensive. The colored pictures are not as clear as I would like, however, for home use it is fine. I have used all four features (fax, scan, print & copy) and they all work very well. Over all, I am happy with this printer.

After owning many HP printers I was getting tired of spending so much on printer cartridges every time. I wanted a wireless printer and needed more cartridges, and decided to see what was out there. The Kodak had great reviews and the price of cartridges were half the price.....and was very very easy to set up the wireless on the printer and both laptops....

I bought a Kodak printer for my oldest daughter for christmas she liked hers so much and talked about how much she saved on ink. When my HP went out, I bought the ESP Office 6150. Easy to set up to my home computer and to router to laptop. Printing simple and clear. Easy commands. And the ink is resonable priced. Do alot of printing. This Works for me Lbgard of Hickory, KY

Received the Printer, followed the unpacking instructions. Unable to complete the startup procedures from the control panel. Tried several times. Called Kodak for support. They were very helpful the indication was a bad control panel - no work around. Kodak Technical staff provided a return code. I took it toBest Buy and the full price was refunded. Decided on not buying a new printer.

    Great all-around, all-in-one printer

This all-in-one printer is solid and fast! Scanning is great and easy. Faxing can be a little tricky, however, if your sheet(s) don't pull in straight. It is also a bit loud and has strong side-to-side vibrations as it prints. It also takes a bit of time booting up and shutting down.

This printer was a little more costly than others, but after reading many reviews I was tempted by not paying an arm and a leg for the cartridges. I use it mainly to print emails, homework assignments, etc. so the photo quality was not a concern. Really like the auto feed on it too.

I am not certain that I am saving anything in printer ink, but I am losing significant time in just trying to print out two consecutive pages. It seems to start the first okay, but the second page seems to take about 30 seconds. When the ink is gone, will switch back to a less complicated printer that I kept. It may use more ink, but it will print in the same calendar year.
