The lowest cost in ink advertisements cannot be true. I use this printer to print e-mail and documents from work when I'm at home. I rarely print anything in color. But after a year of owning the product, the color ink tank ran out. I've printed out approximately 5 pages a month. 60 pages for a $20 color cartridge isn't cheap in my book.
But even though I'm trying to print something out in B&W only, it won't let me print unless I replace the color ink tank despite the blank ink tank being half full.
With the ink cartridge empty, it will report that the ink cartridge is missing, loose, or misaligned. All you need is a tank that is not empty.
Plus all 5 colors for the ink tank are in one on this model. So if you run out of cyan, but have plenty of magenta, tough, replace the whole tank. Only the black ink is in a seperate tank.
Setting up the printer with my wireless network does not work. I spent hours on the line with Kodak's Helpdesk unsucessfully. I had to hardwire it into my router. I have 9 other devices hanging off of my wireless network. Only this printer took longer than 5 minutes to set up.
If you have a memory card in the slot, it will constantly try to print the files loaded on it. You cannot delete the files. You have to remove the card. There was no mention of where this mysterious file was coming from, so it took a while to figure that out.
