    So, I was really excited to use this item. I also have a ring doorbell which I heard integrates with the Kevo, but I haven't installed the doorbell yet, so I can't comment on that yet. I can say that the touch functionality of it is frustrating... at least to me. It takes about 10 seconds for the lock to connect with your phone when just walking up and sometimes it doesn't connect at all during the first touch event. Most times it's faster just to use your key and god forbid you accidentally touch the lock when your trying to unlock it with the key. The one handy occasion the touch function is good for is when your hands are full and you can't get to your keys. Outside of that one benefit the lock is as good as any other kwikset dead bolt. I will say that it does have a slight cool factor when you're upstairs and you know who's at the door, so you just open it with your phone.

    I'm content with the purchase but not super excited. In hindsight I wish i bought a lock with he ability to lock/unlock from anywhere with the app. I think that was next level purchase. Other downside is that my gf and I think it works better the more an individual uses it. For example, i always entered my house through the garage so when i went to use this lock it would take a while for it to recognize my phone. My gf always uses the front door so it seems to recognize her phone quicker. Overall the bluetooth sometimes takes 2-3 times to ultimately recognize your phone before it unlocks the lock. Batteries lasted about 6 months before i had replace them (4xAAA). Spend time researching other locks.

    This is like any other lock, its cool because of the features, but if you have a storm door and a lock on the door knob itself you most likely will not use the touch feature. If the app is down or your Bluetooth is off the lock is pointless. It does strike up a conversation and looks neat with the lights and the device on the inside of the door. This lock can really give you a piece of mind when you are away. you can see when its been locked and unlocked. if you have someone watching your house while you are away you can give them the e-key and track how long they were there by the time stamp of the locking and unlocking. If you into gadgets and new tech things this lock is for you.

    This product is cool for what it's suppose to do. It's really nice for when you need to give someone access to your home when you're away. It has a neat feature to give that person access for 24hrs only. Draw back is that they need to download the app (which they probably don't already have). Not the biggest deal. What isn't so great is when it has a hard time sensing that your phone is nearby. It will drive you nuts when it doesn't open the first time you try and you have to take your phone out of your pocket. Also, this does not integrate well with Google home setup, it's better with the Alexa setup.

    This device was super easy to install and, in my case, changing the lock cylinder was warranted. On the Software side of things it was also easy to setup. However, the Bluetooth range is limited. And I can’t have it in my back pocket on entry so i have to place my iPhone in my front pocket or hold it in hand which defeats the keyless/hands free concept. I wrote to Support twice and did not receive a response. That is really bad in this day and age. I’m really torn about endorsing them but will because it does work just not perfectly handsfree.

    It can be slow to unlock

    It’s easy to install and looks good. I’m glad you can’t tell it apart at a distance from the other locks in my condo building. But it can take 10-15 second to register when you walk up to it. In that time, I could have taken out my keys. I thought building a fob would improve the speed of recognition, but it hasn’t. Pretty pricey for tech that still has some issues.

    It's not life changing but it does work. It could stand to be a little cheaper for what you get. To make it WiFi you have to pay another 100 or so bucks for the receiver that is not included with the lock. It was not available/instock until a month after purchasing my lock. I'm about to order it now so we'll see how it works as a complete unit.

    + setup relatively straightforward + eKeys work well - requirement to have app open for phone to work defeats purpose of not having to use hand to get our keys - keyfob works but is too large - frequent “errant closing” action when using phone - lack of z-wave is limiting (significant reason to go elsewhere)

    Trying to call the company is a pain... it takes forever to get someone on the phone. The app signs you out often and you don’t realize it until you go to get in the house. I was going to order the fob but the reviews for that are horrible. It they corrected these issues this could get all five stars.

    It's a very nice looking lock, But the app does not work as good as I wanted, when I walk up t the door it is a lot faster to use the key function, I have a great phone and wireless, not sure why the app is so slow.

    Returned this. The app is very slow. Requires expensive adapter to access over internet. Ended up purchasing Nest lock instead, works out to be less money. The app for Kevo was very slow

    Very easy installation process. However, it would not connect to my iPhone 6s when trying to perform the update so I could not manage my lock with my phone. Returned it for the August and that was simple to use and works great as a smart lock.

    I was a bit disappointed with the way this product works as it requires Bluetooth connectivity and if you have several devices already connected to the phone(like an earpiece or a watch), then it would not work seamlessly

    It works but u have to have the app running in background of your phone and it SUCKS the battery if it does. I tried to turn it on right b4 I need it but it takes away to register then

    Too many little issues to use daily, would recommend for occasional use, like forgetting keys or something along those lines. Not dependable enough to use without using your regular keys more often.

    I thought with such a known brand, that they would have worked out the kinks. Always an issue when I got to the door. Had to re-open app, and took a while. Rather use my key

    This was easy to install, and it works most of the time. You must have your app open on your phone. We have had some trouble with getting it to work. Does not work every time. Leave a key outside.

    Download the app first to see if your phone is compatible. Only Apple, Samsung, and Pixel are the only phones I'm aware that are compatible. Would not work with my phone and had to return it.

    The lock works great but I hate that it works Bluetooth so you have to have your on you and if want to unlock your door from a distance you to purchase a device so you can connect to Wi-Fi.

    I like the lock with the features but im not sure why sometimes it does not unlock after the touch feature. It will turn blue showing that it understands but does not unlock....
