Lightweight, only quiet on the low setting

Came assembled but had to disassemble it to get all the packaging out. It was easy to put back together. Plug and go concept, the touch panel lights up ready to be used. I'm uncomfortable with the type of detachable plug it came with (USB-C) because it could easily be broken, and the power requirements suggest you can't just put any charger in it. Touch panel is easily readable, with four power settings, a timer, chilld lock, clean filter indicator, a night light, and a nighttime mode. The air purifier gets noticeably loud on setting 3. It's loud on setting 2 as well but more like background noise and you hardly notice it while watching TV. It's lightweight design allows me to move it to the center of the kitchen to use at night with the timer and back to the corner for the day. Everyone in my household but me has allergies and they notice a significant difference in the air quality in my living room after just 2 days of constant use.

    Air purifying made simple

With the onset of Covid and the rise of technology, air purifiers became more advanced, with tons of different features, like wifi and real-time remote monitoring, etc.—most features you won’t really pay attention to once a purifier is set up. Let’s face it, we forget purifiers when we set them up. I trust that it is doing it’s job and leave it alone. This is what this air purifier does—it makes everything simple. First of all, the build is nice and clean. Though it does feel a little plasticky to the touch, the texture of the material and the design is pretty. You know you cannot throw it around and still be in the same shape. But that’s not what you get it for. Once I put it on somewhere, I hardly touch it, and best interaction you get from it is when I change settings or look at it—which is one of its fortes: the look. It looks nice, the material does not look like it is a dust magnet and it has a functional night light, which works perfect for the bedroom. The controls are simple. It does not have a lot of frills to it—it is straightforward. I did not even need to read the manual to understand the icons and how the buttons function. Press continuously for the functions to roll, icons are easily recognizable and the light is straight feedback that tells me what the setting is and what I have done. Indicators are pretty clear, like I know what setting is on, plus there is a child lock to the settings—a setting that most air purifiers I know have overlooked. And not to mention the filter replacement notification, which comes in very handy as always. Most of all, when I forget where I have placed the manual because I probably just left this at a corner to run forever, I do not have to figure it out again—because, seriously, it is made so simple, it’s like it fits my lifestyle (meaning how I use air purifiers). This air purifier does its job. This is one of those appliances we have that we just trust is doing its job. It does it for me. I know it cleans and I know I can rely on it to make it work for me at any time without me having to spend so much time on it. This is how appliances are supposed to be made—the right amount of flexibility and ease to match how we live with it. This is what great design is like!

Kyvol 215 Sq. Ft. P5 HEPA Air Purifier So I just received my Kyvol 215 Sq. Ft. P5 HEPA Air Purifier a few days ago and have been putting it through it's paces. This is one of the most beautiful air purifiers I've tested in quite some time. Inside the package along with the Kyvol Air Purifier comes user manuals, Pre-Filters, True HEPA filter, Activated Carbon Filter, and the USB-C power adapter. After unpacking everything, simply install the filter, and plug the USB-C power adapter into the small (almost unnoticeable) USB-C port on the back of the air purifier and that's it. The touch controls on top are: * Power - on/off button. * Fan Speed - 4 different fan speeds. * Sleep Mode - reduces the fan and sound. * Filter Reminder - alerts you if/when filter needs cleaning or replacement. * Lock - to keep children from changing the settings. * Light - turns on/off the night light. * Timer - allows you to set it to run for 2, 4, 6, or 8 hrs. This air purifier has been a joy to use over the last few days as its cleans the air in our condo and keeps the air smelling fresh. A nice touch is the night light feature for those that need a little light in the night. Great for kids who need night lights. We love it simply because it has helped with keeping our air clean, especially at a time while COVID is still running rampant. Not to mention it helps with eliminating food odors, pet dander, dust, pollen, hair, smoke, and any bacteria from the air. We've not had to clean the filters yet, since we've only had it a few days, but according to the manual, cleaning the filters are really easy and can be vacuumed. Overall, its a great air purifier, and has been working amazing for us so far. I would recommend this for anyone looking for a nice air purifier, that doesn't break the bank and gets the job done.

Fantastic Air Filter for the bedroom!

I have a number of Kyvol products. Among other Kyvol products I have the air fryer, humidifier, and the Kyvol 215 Square Foot P5 HEPA Air Purifier. This review is for the Kyvol 215 Sq. Ft P5 HEPA Air Purifier. I believe in giving credit where credit is due. I live in Texas where the air is either too humid, too dry, or has too many pollutants in it! Between the humidifier and the air purifier I am covered. The nice thing is that this air purifier is not too tall and sits nicely in a corner next to a nightstand. I like that it is not an eye soar or ugly. It has a modern look to it that belongs in a room, so no need to hide the purifier. The fact that it has an adjustable night light is a nice feature too! Additionally, this air purifier is extremely quiet – merely a small “air noise” if your right next to it. I have a white noise machine that I run at night and the two do not conflict with each other. The air filter cannot be heard over white noise machine. The instructions state that it can clean air in a room of 219 square feet about 5 times in a hour. I am not sure about the exact size, but I know it covers my master bedroom just fine. It took a few days for me to notice, but I used to wake up with headaches when I slept from all the allergies in the air. After a few nights of running this air purifier with my door closed I no longer woke up with headaches. If your looking for an air purifier that works, looks good, is quiet, and has light features if you wish – this is the product for you.

Efficient and Relatively Quiet for its Size

As a member of a family of healthcare professionals and being in the industry myself, I appreciate everything that helps keeping the environment I am in as healthy as possible. Suffering from seasonal allergies, both my daughter and I need that clean air, especially at night. Technology can provide that in hospitals and nobody cares about how it looks because it is mostly out of sight. But, this Kyvol Air Purifier design not only keeps the air very clean, but it is also pleasing to the eyes, looking more like a fancy Bluetooth speaker. Perfect for home environment. Because I have other air purifiers that work well and I didn’t realize at first that they were very noisy when they detected odor or smoke, I tested this unit very carefully. I’m glad to report that even at its highest fan speed, it is never too loud. That’s a huge deal as I use it in my bedroom and I’m a bit too sensitive to noise. I don’t want you to think it is super quiet because it is not, but it is less loud than others I have at similar size. Also, as the air gets cleaner, it becomes gradually quieter and it doesn’t disturb my sleep. I can’t deny the lights are fun but it may be a big distraction when you’re trying to sleep. Fortunately, you can turn them off. My take: efficient, elegant, and relatively quiet

    Cost Effective & Quiet Filtration

Tried out quite a few different air purifiers from the smart ones to the dumb ones and really I've yet to see the real value in the "smart" ones. This particular model is a "dumb" one that doesn't require an app to function which is good enough. This device has just the right features to fit into your bedroom and not be too disruptive. It's quiet, doesn't look terrible, and has a nice nightlight feature. The quiet part is was really wins out here. This unit has 4 fan settings, and I've kept it on setting 2 in my bedroom. It's noticeable, but not so much that it's disruptive. Setting 4 sounds a bit like a jet turbine. The touch panel has oodles of settings and features, but to be honest a simple on/off, fan speed, and light button would be enough. The device was easy to setup out of the box. And to be honest, my favorite thing is that they bothered to use a USB-C connector for the power. About time device manufacturers catch on and standardize on a connector vs using proprietary stuff. Biggest complaint is the size. This device is rather large, and it's even bigger than it appears in photos. It's stylish looking with the gray color, but just way larger than I feel it needs to be. The WAF on these type of devices would be a lot higher if they were just more compact and easier to slip into places that don't make it stick out like a sore thumb. Overall, it seems like it will be a decent device. I've yet to really notice it's ability to get the job done, but I've also only had it a week so far. The price is right and the color and style are nice, so I would consider recommending it to friends who are in the market for a device like this.

Having good quality air in your home is always important. The Kyvol Air Purifier is a great device that can easily help keep dust and allergens out of the air. Set-up was very simple. Just remove the unit out of the box and unwrap the internal filter. It uses a USB-C power connector to run. And that's pretty much it. No need to connect to WiFi or do anything else; it's ready to start purifying in less than a few minutes. It has some really nice features like a Nightlight with adjustable brightness and different fan speeds. The design is also really nice and feels well-made. Something that I noticed though was the fan had a bit of an electrical whirring sound to it. I'm not sure if it's just my unit, but if you want something quiet then that might be an issue. The Kyvol Air Purifier is a great device for people who want a simple solution to clean the air in their home. No apps to set-up or updates to install, just an all-around great air purifier.

Easy to use air purifier with HEPA filter

We live in a fairly dry and dusty part of the country, plus we have dogs and cats. For those reasons we decided to get an air purifier, to try to remove some of the dust and pet dander from the air in our home. The Kyvol air purifier is well-made, it is 15 inches tall and 8 inches in diameter (circular), it is stable enough to sit on a shelf or table. It was packed with plenty of padding and packing material, you have to open the bottom of the purifier to take out the packing materials, get the power cable and take the plastic bag off of the HEPA air filter. The only problem I encountered was getting the bottom cover back on, it's not as easy to put back on as it is to take off. Once it's plugged in and turned on (all the controls are on top of the purifier, so wherever you put it, you have to have access to the top) the purifier defaults to fan setting 2. There are four fan settings, the first is probably too slow and settings 3 and 4 make the unit a little more noisy, so 2 seems the best. The purifier also has a nightlight setting, which is great if you don't leave a lot of lights on and want a small amount of light. If you press the “sleep mode” button, it will automatically turn off the nightlight and turn the purifier to the lowest fan speed. Turning off sleep mode returns it to whatever previous settings you were using. There is also a timer, so that you can set it to turn off after a certain amount of time. For those with kids, there is a child safety lock to prevent tampering with the controls. There is also an indicator for when your filter needs to be replaced. So far it's a great product, works well and we don't even notice it when it's running.

Not bad, just a little louder than I wanted

Having made the mistake of not taking the filter out of a previous air filter, i like that they put in the power adapter INSIDE so you have to remove the filter and the plastic around it to use it. That seems like a very simple and space saving way to package a product, but forcing someone to pull out the filter and also just look at the device to get used to it - is a great packaging design The sticker for the power supply plug fell off upon pulling the device out, and the connection location would not be so easy to find There are 4 fan modes, 1 and 2 are quiet enough, but 3 and 4 are a bit louder than you would expect for such a small device. I have a bigger air purifier that I use and the highest mode is quieter than this, it also did not seem to help with my allergies as my other one does. Leaving it on overnight - which has a sleep mode that turns off the top display and lowers the fans - but I still wake up stuffy with just the Kyvol vs my other one. I was looking to keep the smaller one in the bedroom vs the large one, which will have to stay where it is, and the Kyvol can go into another room. Pros: Small "cute" footprint 4 modes timer Sleep mode Very light and easy to carry around Con: very loud Doesn't seem to work as well as I wanted Would I recommend it, yes, it's a good small one and would be best serviced in smaller rooms.

Pleasant to look at -- blends well with decor. Great size -- fits in many places and is easy to carry to another room, if you want, and again, size makes it blend better than larger units. Simple touch panel on top. Steady fan sound when running. Love that the panel and light is off when in night mode. We got this for our bedroom to help with allergies and wanted both a high level of air purification AND no lights at the same time, which at first this was bothersome since it drops automatically to level 1 when you start night mode. After playing around with it just now we were pleased to find that after putting it in night mode, that you can wake the screen up and increase the working level and then the panel turns off again. This will work for us since we like to have white noise going at night, but be aware that if you want full speed AND no lights from the panel, the fan sound is quite noticeable.

The fan is very audible at higher speeds, but also very effective. I live in the desert, so dirt and dust in the house has become kind of a standard. We have to have air purifiers to keep the dust down to manageable levels. I placed the Kyvol in a 200 square foot room, on top of a dresser that is near an AC vent. We leave it on the lowest setting because even at speed level 2 it is almost distracting how loud it is. The Kyvol does a great job. In the few days I've used it, I have seen a decrease in the dust that collects on the furniture in the room, and my wife and I have both had a decrease in sinus headaches and issues when waking up in the morning. I do have one slight issue with the Kyvol, and that is the sound of it. Even on the lowest speed, it has a higher pitched noise to it that my ears do not like. I have several other air purifiers that rare not as loud, even on higher speeds, and actually help me to relax with their sound (almost like white noise), but the Kyvol doesn't. It does do a great job, however.

Kyvol 215 Sq. Ft P5 HEPA Air Purifier is a must for every home. The triple-stage filter system blew me away. The Kyvol has a pre-filter, Hepa filtering as well as carbon filtration. The pre-filter is washable, so that is a plus. The fan is very quiet, even in the highest settings. I have noticed less dust on the glass shelves of my entertainment system. I only wish it included an integrated phone app but hey not a deal killer. And it is not a bad-looking unit, so it's no eyesore to a room.

works great for small rooms. My teen son's room gets smelling like a boys' locker room. So, we put this in his room, and it helped a lot. If you put it on max setting, it can be a bit loud. The reason I am giving it a 4 star though. Lack of having any kind of remote for it. They use a USB C to charge which is great. But no remote, no Wi-Fi or Bluetooth so you can't connect a phone. If they had a remote for it, easily would have been a 5 star.
