I recently purchased the Kyvol 215 Sq. Ft P5 HEPA Air Purifier in Gray and have been using it for a few months. Here's my honest review of this air purifier:
Design (4/5): The Kyvol P5 boasts a sleek and modern design in a stylish gray finish. Its compact size makes it easy to place in any room without it being obtrusive. The control panel on the top is user-friendly, with clear button labels and indicator lights. It's a well-designed unit that blends into most home aesthetics.
Performance (4.5/5): When it comes to air purification, the Kyvol P5 performs admirably. The HEPA filter effectively captures dust, pollen, pet dander, and even larger particles like smoke and odors. I noticed a significant improvement in air quality in my bedroom, especially during allergy seasons. The unit's 4-stage filtration system is impressive, and it does a great job of purifying the air in spaces up to 215 sq. ft.
Noise Level (4/5): The Kyvol P5 operates quietly on lower fan speeds, making it suitable for bedroom use. However, on higher fan settings, it can become a bit noisy, which might be distracting for light sleepers or those who prefer absolute silence.
Features (3.5/5): While the Kyvol P5 is effective in air purification, it lacks some advanced features that are increasingly common in other air purifiers in this price range. It doesn't have a built-in air quality sensor or a smart app for remote control and monitoring. Also, the absence of a timer function is a downside for users who want to schedule its operation.
Filter Replacement Cost (4/5): The replacement filters for the Kyvol P5 are reasonably priced, which is a plus. However, it's important to note that the filter replacement frequency can vary depending on usage and the air quality in your area.
Price (4/5): In terms of price, the Kyvol P5 falls into the mid-range category for air purifiers. It offers solid performance for its price point, but the absence of certain features may leave some consumers wanting more for their investment.
The Kyvol 215 Sq. Ft P5 HEPA Air Purifier in Gray is an effective and aesthetically pleasing air purification solution. It excels in removing common airborne particles and improving indoor air quality, making it a good choice for bedrooms or smaller living spaces. However, it lacks some advanced features and can be a bit noisy on higher fan settings. If you prioritize performance over additional bells and whistles, the Kyvol P5 is a solid choice for cleaner, fresher air in your home.

This air purifier is quiet, stylish and great at its intended function. I was originally skeptical about air purifiers but after using one, I noticed the air felt less "heavy". Whether or not it's a placebo effect, I can't tell. However, I do know it's doing something as I clean/replace the filters and find dust, pet hair, etc. Since the filter of this is really cheap, it made sense to purchase this!

This device is great at what its main purpose is - filtering the air in your home or office. Filtration strength was pretty impressive (tested against pets and regular rounds of cooking), and the selectable fan speeds mean you can apply the right amount of filtration that you need.
This air purifier is practically silent at its lowest setting and operates at a reasonable volume at its highest setting. The neighboring voice assistant (a mini model mind you) sitting right next to the air purifier is louder. The device truly seemed to make an improvement in my town home; I imagine in larger areas the device might not produce the same results, but in a 322 sq. ft living room I could notice a real difference in air quality after using the air filter for an hour. The air filter was particularly good at sorting out the kind of daily odors a typical household is likely to generate (i.e. kitchen odors), which is great since I can't really open my windows during winter.
The device is reasonably discreet and can tucked into small locations, which is a huge asset in smaller homes like mine. A timer function can be set to have the unit turn on or off after certain designated intervals, which is a nice bonus if you have to place the filter someplace where you don't want to be fiddling with the controls.
The only drawback is the fact that the filter has to be replaced every quarter to half year. The prefilter is washable ,but the main filter simply has to be replaced once it becomes too "occluded" to be useful. Something to bear in mind for those interested.
