I'm so happy that I got this on 4k. A little sad because I was hoping they still had the steelbook, but regardless I'm happy I have it. David Bowie is amazing and perfect for this role. A must own.

    Labyrinth Review

Believe it or not I have ever seen the movie labyrinth. I didn’t know exactly what to expect. Jennifer Connelly was charming. David Bowie was whimsical. I highly recommend this wonderful film, even though it cost $26 million to make and only made $13 million. Money isn’t everything: they’re making a remake right now.

    Childhood memories

    |
    Posted .

I grew up on Jim Hanson's work and Bowie's music and this movie joins these 2 masters. The song Magic Dance is for me the best song in the movie. After Bowie passed away I went looking for it on blu ray but maybe I was looking in the wrong place because all I found it on was DVD. Best Buy had it on blu ray and I had to get it. For Hanson and/or Bowie fans this is a must have trust me.

    Excellent trip down memory lane

I remember as a small child absolutely loving Jim Henson's creatures in both the Dark Crystal & Labyrinth movies-- And now with the release of the 30th Anniversay edition blu-ray steelbook, I couldn't be happier. It still holds up and the remastered version looks FANTASTIC! On a side note, while I absolutely love the CGI effects in the best of today's spectacle movies... I have to say that I do miss the whimsical element found in my favorite childhood movies from the early 80's - like Time Bandits, Neverending Story, The Dark Crystal, and of course, Labyrinth...

Got a great bargain on this Labyrinth blu-ray disc

I am happy with the Labyrinth blu-ray disc and will definitely replace it with a 4K disc when I get a 4K television and I will not buy a 4K television until they are 3D and you can watch them without glasses. I look forward to that and to giving away my old copy to a friend or charity.

    Dance!!

All this movie has not aged very gracefully for the new generation, for those of us products of the 1980s, you will be highly entertained by the numerous volume of special features included on this disk, including numerous various documentaries and behind the scenes features, as well as commentaries featuring Brian Henson as well as others. A relatively low costing Blu-ray set considering all of the additional value they get from the special features. Strongly recommended.

    Great, classic movie

I went into this completely blind and ended up really loving it. I didn't even know it was a Jim Henson movie until I saw his name on the cover. The film itself was great and the packaging was outstanding. I watched all the extra features after watching the movie and it really gives it a lot more depth. You can tell they put so much work into every little detail.

Great Presentation of a Cult Classic

Labyrinth isn't for everybody. In fact, most people interested in purchasing this will probably be those who grew up with it. And for those fans, this is a terrific presentation. It starts with the very attractive digibook packaging, with the built-in booklet featuring production photos, essays, etc. It continues with the excellently restored 1080p picture and the Dolby Atmos soundtrack. Topping it off is the glut of special features. It would have a full 5 stars if the movie itself was appealing for adults who are watching it for the first time.

Most beloved film of all time!!

Words can not contain my love for this film. My family and I went to see it when it originally hit the theaters, and I have been obsessed with it since. MY best friend and I watched this movie, about 5 times a day, for like 10 years, until we melted the VHS tape. This movie will change your life, and you will be addicted to the craftsmanship of the puppetry, the costumes, the story, the characters,...just EVERYTHING. If you have not seen this yet, you are missing out on a true classic.

    Fantastic Edition

Not only is the packaging and features on the disc tops but the video quality is as well. Besides the UHD disc or 4k master (which this was scaled down from) this is the best the movie's going to look and probably the best you've ever seen it.

    Still A Great Family Movie

The movie still holds up and is a lot of fun no matter your age. The extra content is great to have. If you've never seen it, it is a fantasy film with some David Bowie music made for this movie. It was inspired by The Wizard of Oz. Directed by Jim Henson, starring David Bowie and Jennifer Connolly & produced by George Lucas.
