I bought this for my MacBook Air 2018 time machine, and also for my Mac desktop, it works great, only thing is if you are backing up your desktop or laptop with a lot of stuff it will take a long time, but at the end it does the job and for the price its a great buy. very nice design, very portable, and looks great.

I needed a new external drive in order to make sure I had my older 15.4" MacBook Pro laptop backed up before I had some major work done on it. I wanted a reliable product, but didn't want to make a major "investment level" purchase for this drive and definitely did want something I felt would be competent for the job. This product was a good size, good price and did a perfect job for me.

The drive has lots of storage (1TB) at a reasonable price, It is light weight which is important because I take it on the road. It was simple to set up and the basic backup software is more than adequate for my laptop.

Excellent in every way. I use this physically small external drive (with large data storage space) for Time Machine backup with my desktop iMac. No formatting, no installation hassle, no problem. Every Lacie product I've bought has worked perfectly and still works while some other brands have fallen by the wayside. And it's nice that it is powered by the computer's Data port so there's no charger or power cord to add more clutter to my desk.

I bought this as a backup (Time Machine) drive for me Mac. It’s very fast when using USB-C (thunderbolt) and only slightly slower on USB. It’s well built, looks nice, and is very slim. My only complaint is that it gets pretty hot when it’s been running a bit. Overall good buy.

Good solid external storage. It gets the job done. Design is sleek and not an eyesore. Easy enough to hide away. Solid product. No issues so far.

Years ago, I bought a Lacie DVD burner and it was an excellent product. This external hard drives is the same. Portable, durable, and works very well.

Bought this for transferring photos from my MacBook cloud account for additional storage. Easy set up but problems with transferring photos in order by date. Not sure why they describe the color as silver/orange, it is silver, but no orange .

This is my second Porsche backup drive and for me the best thing about it is that it is simple. I'm one of those guys who is easily frustrated when technology is more complicated that it seems it should be, so this is my kind of product. Easy to use and plenty fast for my needs. I appreciate the recommendation I received from the employees in the store.
