Wanted to store my work on this drive. It’s light and easy to carry with my laptop.

Works well with desktop and laptops. It won't connect to USB C connector on cell phones. It's due to power requirement of the drive.

This cover fits perfectly. Protects the MAC Air. The cover is light weight .

I keep all my pictures backed up on here for my computer.

I needed to be able to backup up my MacBook, this product did this and was easy to setup and use. NO PROBLEMS!!!!!

Worst ever I lost a 10k wedding on this thing do not buy it failed and I never dropped it or anything they couldn’t save any of my files

Bought this to use with MacBook Pro 2016 after seeing the positive reviews. It failed while I was overseas. When I returned I was outside the 15 day return period of Best Buy. So I had to return it to LaCie, who sent me a refurbished drive. I would have preferred to get a refund, but that was not an option. Today I began to use the refurbished drive. I followed the instructions in the setup assistant to the letter. Unfortunately, inexplicably, the software created two volumes--one very small one apparently with some drive software in MS-DOS format, and a second very large one in Mac extended journaled, presumably available for backup with Time Machine. But Time Machine recognized only the first, which means I would have very little space for backups. I then searched for and followed the instructions to erase both volumes. I restarted the computer multiple times throughout the processes. But Time Machine still recognizes only the useless volume. It is not worth any more time trying to get this to work. I will not buy another LaCie produce.

Bought one Rugged LaCie external drive; it failed just before the 2 yr warranty ended; had to pay shipping and they replaced. Later bought another one; it failed 1 1/2 months after the 2 . yr warranty was over and they refused to give me a courtesy extension. The WD My Passport for Mac (and their other PC products) at least give you a three year warranty! I would advise avoiding all LaCie allegedly "rugged" products.
