Been needing a new hard drive for backing up files and videos for a while now. I usually go to my favorites bloggers on YouTube to learn about things like this and they didn’t fail me this time either! I’m not the best at setting up hard drives and other things particular to a computer, but over the last few months I have been forced to as my social media presence has increased. I could take off one star because the box materials, unfortunately, do not contain a whole lot of detail on how to set this drive up and use it. So, I had to resort to YouTube again and got it done. There is a fantastic simplicity to how this product works. It’s convenient, it’s protected by superb orange rubber case, and functions quickly and without flow, depending on your computer. I am a Mac guy and this device was easily set up for me by following the formatting instructions. You can format it for both Mac and PC if you choose to do so. If you need a hard drive but you find this one a little expensive, I still say get it! I think you’ll be glad you did. And don’t be afraid to watch my YouTube friends if you need help setting it up!

Hard drive is awesome. My daughter uses it to store her film edits. She is very pleased with the adaptability. It's user friendly. I purchased the 2nd to largest memory.

Easy to set up and easy to use. A simple backup tool is included that does the job, unless you're a nerd like me who likes to customize - then the tool isn't flexible enough.

The best external hard drive I’ve used. Easy to use and works great with my Mac. It’s also very durable which is great for someone who is constantly on the go ( or has kids who like to get into their stuff, like my little minions) highly recommend as a wedding photographer

Their products have yet to let me down. I purchased two 4TB Lacies, to mirror each other, just in case one of them breaks down. But, that's just a precaution. Since I literally travel with my Lacie everywhere with me

I'm using this to archive data, so I'm not taking it out into the field to beat up, but I bought it because I trust the quality of the brand. While time will tell if the HDD will go corrupt, I can say that ease of use, speed and it's small form factor make it an easy recommendation

I previously lost all my info that was on an external drive when it decided to just stop working. This one seems to be much more durable. So far so good

This is my go-to portable drive. Great for Macs and it's a colorful little conversation starter. LOL. I've dropped it a couple of times and it didn't get even a scratch

This is our third drive from Lacie. We use them for external drives to store pictures and videos, as well as using another as a daily backup drive. Awesome product.

This external hard drive is the perfect companion for any traveling creative. Enough space for content and rugged enough to withstand lots of travel.

Haven’t added photos to it yet but really excited to add to it. Will be using this to store my images from photoshoots along with the edits

This is s solid and fast HD and perfect for on the go like I am for me and my MBP

All I can say is that it has been working fine. I use it as a backup drive on an iMac with a small internal SSD and a large external drive. It backs up both. Contrary to what I read on another review, the drive comes with a USB-A cable and a USB-C cable. I use the latter. Of course, I cannot comment on its longevity. I've only had it a couple of weeks.
