If the driver doesn’t work, it’s easy to buy a new one and replace the front part of it. You can get the driver to work again.

I persoanlly use them to edit all of my videos on for my business. I shoot in 4k 120fps and my macbook is a 2tb… im ablento save my hard drive storage because i keep all my libraries/video on the lacie backup ratehr than the mac storage

The rubber grips are great for handling and to grasp onto whatever surface it's placed on. Connections are solid even when connected with an average Samsung phone charging cable. I haven't put it through the drop test yet, but I wouldn't doubt that it could withstand a few drops from waist height.
