Great vinyl pressing. Superb packaging.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was skeptical at first when I saw Plain Recordings was repressing this classic record. They don't have a good reputation for quality reissues. When I received the record, I was surprised at the attention to detail. The reproduction sleeve, inner sleeves, insert and labels were impressive. Plain really took their time with the album presentation. The true test was about to take place - listening to the record. The record began playing and I was smiling. The recording did not sound digitally sourced. It had sublime depth and superior spatial quality. I was stunned. I can recommend this reissue without reservation. The record is a revelation on vinyl. This is one of the greatest records of the 90's and sounds just as fresh today as it did back them. A masterpiece reissued by Plain Recordings paying proper homage to a defining record.

Great music, ok package, poor master
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great record. However the lack of gatefold packaging and poor mastering deliver an inferior product to the original Arista vinyl issue. When things get loud or intense, the sound begins to become muddy and noisy almost like a bad CD master. I wouldnt be surprised if this is actually a CD transfer. Sonic purists stay away, however the price of $16.99 is decent for a set that often runs $20+ in some stores.
