After using this software, I confirmed what others have said about this program: it works for some and not for others. For this process I had a older 32 bit machine with Windows 10 transferring to a new 64 bit Windows 10 machine. I had thought that this would be relatively easy since both machines had the same OS installed. In my case, on my old machine, for security purposes, I set up a non-admin user account from which to do my day to day work. For the most part after I did the transfer I could use the new admin account, but it made a mess of my new non-admin user account. I ended up having to blow away that account and just use toe admin account. I keep my data separate from my programs by creating a separate data partition on my machine. I do this to facilitate restoring from a backup if I need to. I therefore relocated the My documents files to the data partition. When I used this software, it created a My Documents directory in my admin account and moved some files there, It also moved some files to my data drive and it duplicated some files on both. I had to end up combining everything and doing it manually. Not all of my software transferred. It appears that just popular titles transfer and it ignores many applications. I could not find a list of the files it did not transfer and had to go through one by one to find what was missing. The Ethernet cable provided was not recognized by the software and therefore useless. I ended up using my wireless network to do the transfer. The license is only good for one time. If you blow away the mess that was made and want to start over, you are informed that you have used up your license. Worst of all, Best Buy will not take the software back after the box is opened, so you have to rely on Laplink for a refund. Several reviewers said that they have waited months and not seen their refund. Bottom line: If your machine has only one user, only one partition, you only use popular software, and you don't need to rely on the cable they provide, it might work for you. Make sure that you have a backup of your new machine before you start. Good luck.

Excellent product, worked as described, easy to use. Note that in some cases you may require a USB to Ethernet adapter if your PC is not equipped xwith an Ethernet port. Going over wifi is slow.

Was not sure how to move my files from my old win 10 laptop to my new one. After some research I found PC mover software and I must say I’m very pleased. Their tech support was first class and highly recommended if you need to move your files from machine to another.

Once the 2 computers were connected properly, it took 4 hours to transfer data.

This moved all the files from one Win10 PC to another. Old 32 bit software like the Office 2003 didn't work right though. Modern software was OK.

It moved almost everything perfectly. Didn't move my old Word program so having some difficulty opening some word and Excel documents on new computer.

Although it took a while to transfer from my old computer to the new, it was a fairly easy process. I am still reviewing my new computer data and programs but so far so good.

This is an easy to use, powerful tool to transfer most applications and data to a new PC.

Works as described and even transferred many of my apps with settings. I couldn't have asked for more!

The ease of use, in my case, was not apparent. It did half of it's process on its own but the other half I had to call customer service (the phone number is NOT on the packaging). I will say that the US and local rep was great at helping me complete the task. The 3 instead of 4 is because I had to research for the customer service line and STILL redial a separate number. As if they don't want you to call if there's a problem. I would still recommend this software.

I ended up doing it myself since I was moving from a larger drive to a smaller drive even though I had sufficient space. The outside of the box did not warn me of this.

Product did transfer applications as needed, but did have to contact customer support for a little assistance.

The program has fairly simple and easy instructions. However, care should be used to see what is applicable to your computer and for exceptions.

Good value. I transferred apps and data from old laptop to new one. Literally moved most all apps and settings. Some apps require you to re-register on the new system. (like Microsoft office). Only reason 4 stars is because it took almost 14 hours to transfer about 197GB. Other than that, it worked nearly flawlessly.

After using PCMover it said it finished and needed to download Microsoft modules. Then Windows tried to repair the system and could not. I took it to the Geek Squad who had to reset the PC. I would not recommend the product to anyone.

PC Mover directions were easy to follow and not complicated. . It moved almost everything from my old computer to my new computer. The only thing that was not moved were some of my passwords. All my files, pictures, and documents were moved with out a problem. It did not take as long as I expected.

It did not transfer everything I expected it to. Directions were difficult and had to call customer support as they neglected a few steps in their instructions. I was able to complete the transfer from Carbonite.

I purchased this so move my programs and files from my old computer to a new computer. It worked great. It had easy to follow directions and after a few hours it was done. No copying and pasting, no moving to a external hard drive. I was able to do other things while the transfer process worked. My new computer had all my stuff from the old computer.

Moved everything except my email software, Thunderbird. So I have had to recreate tons of folders and filters that I expected to be transferred easily.

ok There is procedure that must be followed and not everything is listed int the instructions. It would be better if they would be included.
