Sound is acceptable. Would be better if the temperature setting was more precise. You can only set it in the increments of five degrees. So you will most likely keep it at 70 or 75 depending on how warm you like it. I would have liked to be able to set it at 72 but the tolerance of these types of heaters measurements is probably +\- 2-3 degrees anyway. I set it at 70 and it feels warm enough. I would buy it again.
