    Fan works exactly as described. I had the older one for years but my toddler put plastic chips in it and I couldn’t get them out.

    I received this item in open-box condition despite paying retail for it. Seemed fine for maybe the first few weeks of use and then just starting failing. There is a moderate hum that accompanies these types of fans; however, mine started making clicking sounds from the fan motor. The oscillator motor also started going out yesterday which prompted a return today. I really wanted to like it. Might have faired better with an actual retail model. I'm about 2 hours away from the closest Best Buy and customer service arranged for someone to come pick it up so I wouldn't have to pay for shipping materials to send it back. I'm sure it's a great fan if you get it in a retail box. If not, Best Buy should get you taken care of. 3 stars based solely on Best Buy's customer service.
