Soundtrack is easily the best part of this movie. One of the best climax war scenes in modern cinema!

Overall not a bad movie. Some of the movie could have been shorter, but it did keep you interested.

I saw this in the theaters when it came out and loved, loved, loved it! Drama-filled, love, action, adventure--and history! They don't make musical scores like this anymore. I recently visited Lake George and had to see this movie once again. From reading many reviews both here, on Amazon, and elsewhere, it seems the theatrical version is no longer available in the U.S. The first director's cut, "director's expanded edition" received terrible reviews. Apparently, too many scenes were cut out that viewers were looking forward to seeing once again, and lengthier historical-based scenes were added. This last "director's definitive cut" seems close to the original. I only noticed one of the cuts, and it did not detract from the overall enjoyment of the film. If you've never seen the original, then it won't matter anyway. A worthwhile purchase.
