    Best album yet.

I wanted to hate this album. I didn't buy it when it first came out, and I've had problems with some of Mr. White's bad behaviors. I also wasn't all that crazy about his first solo album. But I did finally end up getting this album, and I have to admit that it is pretty darn good. I like it quite a bit more than the first one. Lots of cool textures and ear candy. Recommended.

Good record if you aren't expecting all rock

I think it can be assumed that Jack White's true passion lies with the country/folk rock as opposed to the heavy hitting rock we were used to with the White Stripes. 'Lazaretto' is a good record but is limited to 3-4 rock tracks while the rest are folky western ballads. All of it done well, of course, but if you were expecting rock album of the year you would be disappointed

Another outstanding effort from Jack White.

Jack White has been making fresh and distinctive music for years. Each of his efforts, either solo or with his various groups, has displayed growth and maturity. This is not to say that I loved 100% of everything he's done. Until now. "Lazaretto" is outstanding from start to finish; every track a keeper. This CD also seems to improve with each repeated listening. Play it often and play it LOUD! Standout track: "Would You Fight For My Love?"

    One for the diehards

Jack White walked off stage in NY last year saying the crowd weren't into it... he really took it a step further with this one. It's one of those CD's you may need to force yourself to listen to more than once and when you do you'll thank yourself for it. Buy it and do yourself the favour of listening to it, you will not be disappointed.

A mix of good and OK

There are several "classic" Jack White songs in here that have a lot of replay value. However there are several tracks that can be difficult to listen to and seem misplaced on this album.

    Jack White's latest

What I like most about Jack White is that you don't know exactly what to expect from him. always innovative and never the same old sound repackaged as too many artists seem to do. A great album and not just for hardcore Jack White fans!

Bought it for my younger daughter; she likes it...

My younger daughter really liked some of the songs she heard in previews and has enjoyed this album. Me? It's okay. I'm not too into the alternative stuff, but this isn't too bad. I've listened to some older stuff by him, and he has definitely grown as an artist.

I'm not a Jack White expert or super fan like some people but I do like his music. I really enjoy this cd and think it's another really good album. If you like his other stuff I'm sure you will enjoy this as well.

Lazaretto is an amazing follow up to Blunderbuss. Amazing guitar playing by Jack White. Great lyrics. Catchy melodies. I would recommend this album to anyone, regardless if they are a fan of Jack White or the White Stripes.

another solid album from jack white

If you are a fan of Jack's you won't be disappointed. Another solid album and more upbeat/rocking than his last solo effort. I like the backing musicians he surrounds himself with, especially the female vocalists he uses.

    Great New Album

Lazaretto does not disappoint! Everything I love about Jack is there musically and lyrically but it still feels original. There are rock, blues and country influences that combine for an A**-Kickin' good time. My favorite tracks are Three Women, Lazaretto and That Black Bat Licorice.

    Kind of a disappointment.

Sometimes you wonder about Jack White's sense of direction. When it was The White Stripes, The Dead Weather, The Raconteurs, you knew the music was based in rock/blues. Now that Third Man Recording Studio is in Nashville, his music is sounding more like country, especially this album. Titling this album Lazaretto was very misleading, as it is the only song with that sound and a driving bass line. After hearing that one song, Lazaretto, that sound was the reason I bought the album. Maybe I should have listened to the whole album on Spotify, before I made an uninformed buying decision.

    Very Dofferent

Good album overall. Very unexpected compared to some of Jack Whites other work. Seems to be about half and half of guitar shredding alternative songs and country music. I'd definitely listen before you buy

    PRETTY GOOD, NOT GREAT

Jack White is a very talented guy. And this is another really good CD, full of all kinds of Americana type rock and roll. My only complaint is that next time I could use less country and more ROCK, please!

    Jack White is a genius

Jack White's albums are one of the few "must own cd's" in my collection. A digital download isn't enough. I have to be able to carry it with me everywhere, and absorb the nuances and loving details of every song. Lazaretto did not disappoint.

This is a good, solid album from Jack White, it was recorded in Nashville and is toned-down compared to his earlier stuff. It is still very good and I advise everyone to check the album out!

    Awesome Jack White album

This album reflects many of Jack White's different musical influences which he has blended seamlessly into something of his own genre. He is hard to define as is this album. It is immensely satisfying to listen to and I enjoy listening to it frequently.

His last album (Blunderbuss) was so good it would be hard to top that, but this is still worth buying. The first 2 songs are great. I love Black Bat Licorice, too. 4 out of 5 stars

    Jack White Never Disappoints

What this man does to a guitar is either sacred or obscene - depending on the sounds he elicits. This album is full of sounds that will get in your head and niggle at you until you gotta play it again, just to hear THAT again!
