My daughter loves her Leapfrog. We purchased a few games to get her started and those are a little pricey. She is 2 years old and keeps herself entertained with it for about 30 minutes at a time. Takes about 8 hours to fully charge and is durable. Four stars because the games are expensive.

MY SON LOVES THE LEAP PAD. WITH SOME OF THE GAMES, HE EVEN LEARNS WHILE PLAYING. WITH THIS SPECIFIC LEAP PAD, IT WAS ONLY ABOUT 10 DOLLARS MORE THAN THE REGULAR LEAP PAD 3, JUST FOR A BIGGER(7INCH) SCREEN, SO IT MAKES IT EASIER FOR MY SON TO PLAY THE GAME AND READ THE WORDS

We used to have a leappad 2 and my daughter kind of grew out of it. We bought this and now my daughter won't put it down. Glad it uses the same cartridges too. Easy to use and the battery life is great.

Kids fight over it all the time!

Has big screen so my kids don't have a problem with selecting what they want with ease. My kids fight over it all the time 3 children ages 2-7. Downloaded apps range in price $10-30. The games my kids are interested in that is. Debated between this and an affordable real tablet. Down fall would be with the real tablet you could download common free apps such as angry birds, fruit ninja, etc. Although, we as parents like educational games for our children so it is probably a wash. Another down fall would be that sometimes my children become impatient with slow loading times or slow reaction time. They end up pushing something 5 or 6 times before the tablet catches up. For example they will tap to scroll the screen and it won't move right away so they keep tapping and then all of the sudden the screen is too far moved for what they were trying to select. We bought this at best buy for $150 and then it came with $30 Best Buy card so it was worth a try! Overall works well for our family and are satisfied; just wish it was alittle more like a real tablet with the app marketplace.

This Leapfrog product has been a hit for my little one who takes it everywhere and never wants to put it down. I don't mind because it's educational fun. With the Leap Pad Ultra Learning tablet my son has the world at his fingertips, allowing him to explore the Leapfrog educational games as well as other applications appropriate for him from the World Wide Web.

I ordered the Leap Pad Ultra for my grandchildren. After I received the Leap Pads, my son asked that I make sure they worked well before I gave them to the kids, so I plugged them in, loaded the games and played each one as a guest. They worked well. I received offers for games at 30% off after I ordered the Leap Pads, so you might want to wait to buy games until after you get the Leap Pads. I also ordered the silicone covering separately to protect the Leap Pads, and they fit well. In addition I ordered the clear covering to protect the face of the Leap Pad, and installed it. The only minor problem was the air bubbles between the covering and the face of the Leap Pad. I use an Iphone and an Ipad every day, so this was not hard for me. I'm glad I familiarized myself with the games so that I can explain them to the 3 year old and the 5 year old, as this will be their first time out dealing with a Leap Pad. If the kids had been using an Ipad they would find this Leap Pad to move slower than an Ipad, but with nothing to compare it with there should be no problem. This isn't something to hand a child and walk away. Parental guidance and help in setting it up, charging it, and learning how to play the games initially is necessary.

My son has not stopped using his Leap pad. The camera on the LeapPad is awesome and takes great pictures. The set up for WiFi was easier than I thought and he was able to use the LeapPad quickly once I set up everything. The battery life is also great and he was able to use the LeapPad on our trip traveling back from Christmas.

Let me start by saying this tablet is definitely for kids. My son enjoyed this very much but then again he is two years old. The tablet itself is very slow But does the job. Battery life is pretty good about 6-8 hours on a full charge.

Christmas gift for 3 year old, I thought he would love it, but he gets bored really easy, the pre loaded aps are definitely for older children. We returned one after two hours of play time because the screen went out. I do like the size & the rechargeable battery, found it very easy to set up. Maybe when we get more games the be more user friendly for him!

I bought this as a gift for my 3 year old nephew. My Sister is very happy with this and loves the fact that it has WiFi capability. She also is happy that my nephew has his own tablet and does not ask to use her IPad anymore. She also liked the ruggedness of it and said that it has held up well with him dropping it and the dog stepping on it.

We purchased these as a gift for each of our children (ages 1, 4, and 6) and they all love them! They are easy to use, fun, and educational! There is a wide variety of games and books for each age that can be downloaded as well although these can be pretty pricey.

I purchased this as a fun way to help my son learn the alphabet. It runs slowly compared to adult tablets, however, if your child isn't use to those it would be fine. He is enjoying it.

We gave our daughter the original LeapPad years ago and she loved it. I was expecting more upgrades from this version. Specifically, the screen quality is very low compared to other options in the market and the price. It also doesn't have all the bells and whistles that other Android based systems have, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. This is a great learning tool and I believe its especially good for kids aged 3-7ish. Our 6 year old girl seems a little board by the limitations and slower response to touch and other actions compared to other technology. The 3 year old still loves it.

this game unit is easy to use, however for my 5 year old son, some of the games that are purchased are repedative and discouraging. He likes playing the pet game
