My child loves this Leapster 2. The device is easy to use which is a must with toddlers. After doing a lot of research on this and another item of a different brand I was sold on the Leapster. I read a review stating they didn't like the brightness and glare on the display, I don't see a problem with the display screen. I am able to see the screen from a distance as well as in bright sunlight and vision isn't 20/20 :) I would recommend the charging system being batteries drain fast. Overall I am very satisfied with this purchase. WHAT'S GREAT: *The display screen is very durable (a must). *Graphics are great (easy to read screen) *Multiple settings for the screens brightness *Speaker/Sound/Clarity, great *Volume Control Settings *Comes with an attached stylus that can't be lost (great ideal) *Easy for little hands to grasp despite it being kind of bulky NOT SO GREAT: *Definately the bulkiness which makes it a little heavy

Over the years I have bought this toy for 5 grandchildren and my daughter bought it for 2 more. I have bought both styles but really never noticed any major differences. Because children are children, the Leapsters have taken some knocks over the years but only 1 had to be replaced. The kids don't get bored they just grow up and move to more advanced hand helds. I was very pleased that they were learning at the same time they were having fun. It's a great toy to take when traveling. Just remember to bring the adapter and charger or it will cost you a fortune in batteries :-)

I bought the green for my toddler (boy age 4) and the pink for my toddler (girl age 2) for Christams as they were fighting over the origional leapster system. They are small and easily handled by little hands. The games offer fun, as well as educational goals. Great system for your toddlers stands up to their handling.

So far everything is great. My son loves the game, he wants to play it everyday and wants to take it everywhere. I even enjoy some of the games that the product provides. I would definitely recommend this game. I would've given it five starts but the fact that i have to use batteries hurts the product.

We purchased this as a replacement for one my granddaughter wore out. She is almost 4 and has been playing a leapster for over a year. Her abilites using this game will put her ahead of the class when she finally begins preschool. She understands basic directions and follows the games extremely well.

I purchased the Leapster 2. It shuts off after 20-30 minutes. It has to cool off before it powers up. I tried to connect it online through the USB. It is not complying. The Leap Frog website does not provide a telephone number. It is not a good product for my money.

We've had the Leapster for a few weeks now. The kid LOVES it. It has made running errands great for me too - when we go into a store, I can s it her down and be sure that she'll be having fun with her Leapster while I look at paint chips or whatever.

He is only 3 so he is still learning numbers and letters. It would be great if there was a game that had him find color/shapes. Sometimes he gets frustrated because he doesn't know all his letters and numbers., but it does help him learn them.

My son immediately loved it! He can play in the car which keeps him occupied while he is learning. It's very portable. We also enjoy the headphone option.

Leapsters were the entertainment du jour for the Christmas trip. Everytime I talked to them, they are playing with their Leapsters.

I love this thing...I had to buy a second one for my 3yr old to stop him and my 5yr old from fighting over it.
