I would recommend this Lectrofan to anyone who is having difficulty sleeping due to external street noise like traffic or construction.

My wife and I were looking for a small, portable white noise machine. Reviewed many of them online. Purchased this one from Best Buy and are very pleased with it. You have a choice of different white noises or fan sounds and at different volume levels. For what it does, the portability and the price, I gave it 5 stars.

The Lectrofan seems a bit pricey. The product works as advertised and the instructions are good.

This lasted me 5 years, and it was wonderful from day one. Can't sleep without it now. It totally cancels out neighborhood noise, and even from our own animals. Highly recommend!!!

We use these white noise generators at the office. We frequently discuss personal issues with clients that would otherwise be heard down the hall reflected by the hard wood floors. This is just the thing to mask private conversations.

Comes with a bunch of different sounds and you can adjust set the volume. Doesn't take up much space at about 5" in diameter. Pricey, but if you need one this one is a good one IMO

Nice to find a helpful machine for sleep. Used to use fans instead of machines, nice to have the equivalent sound with a smaller piece of equipment.

This was a gift for my son who was using a fan for background noise. He thinks it’s one of the best inventions known to man. I like that it uses less power than a fan running 24/7.

This my second white noise machine. The first was from another manufacturer and ended of breaking within a year. This unit is fantastic. It works great and is a much better product.

Unit is well built and the sound is great. I use the "Fan Setting." It can lull you to sleep by masking outside noise without the cool breeze a fan creates.

This machine provides a few different options for fan and white noise sounds. I‘ll admit to not knowing what exactly “white noise” sounded like but in my opinion most of the ‘white noise’ options just sound like static. I prefer the fan sounds myself and I appreciate the volume control as it helps to drown out background noises at work. My major complaint about this product is the price. At $50.00 it seems about $15 to $20 too high for what you actually get. But, to be fair, I didn’t really shop around so take that for what it’s worth.

My wife and I have been using for a few months now and love the LectroFan. Does a great job at blocking out unwanted sounds. We like the fan sounds.

The Lectrofan is a small, no-frills devices that does well with the basics of masking ambient noise. The combination of non-repeating noise generation and solid-state hardware (no moving parts) sets the Lectrofan apart from most other similarly-purposed devices that I've seen. It is simple enough to use that most people could quickly and thoroughly familiarize themselves with all of the device's features/buttons without looking at the manual. I would like to mention that the non-repeating noise generation is a huge factor for me personally. The noise patterns and cut-off/reset point of looping sounds commonly produced by competing devices pulls my conscious thought into unwittingly following the cycle, which is extremely counter-productive. What follows is a list of nit-picking observations that may not interest most people, and aren't likely to affect the utility of the Lectrofan for most users. - While the sounds generated may be adequate for the task of masking noise, the fidelity is not great. As is common with cheap speakers, low bassy tones are missing, meaning the low hums commonly produced by fans are not approximated by the Lectrofan. - This device does not come with the option of being battery powered. - Some of the fan settings sound similar to each-other (at least to me). - The very unusual heptagon shape of the chassis strikes me as perhaps an odd attempt at subliminally projecting the 'divine number' seven. I find the rounded design of the Micro Lectrofan to be much more appealing. - The text for the button labels has low contrast grey-on-white color which can be difficult to read in low light conditions. - The fan and white noise options strike me as an early beginning for procedurally generated random noise. It would be nice if mimicry of other soothing noises (such as found in many other looping noise generators) were implemented with the same non-looping methodology.

Quality white noise machine. Works amazingly. So happy with it we purchased another one.

This is just what I was looking for to block noises. Got one for my niece, nephew, sonand going to get one for me.

I have no issues falling asleep. But, folks I know do. This helps out really well. I like it. A solid purchase.

For the price, this white noise machine is pretty good. There's only two sounds to choose between at different volumes.

Love the various white noise and various fan sounds. Helps block surrounding noise for a good night sleep.

I bought 3 of them for my grandkids two for our house and one for there home so far

A recent business trip gave the perfect opportunity to test out the Lectrofan Sound Machine and it passed with flying colors. In new surroundings, I typically do not sleep well for the first couple of nights. Different sounds etc play a role. So I took the Lectrofan with me to, hopefully, provide some background sound that would help me sleep and get some rest. There are choices of white noise and fans so I tinkered with it for a bit and found that the 2 sounds that worked best for me are the oscillating fan & classic white noise at a very low volume. Plus, it's small enough to be packed easily and is powered via USB so no big wall wart to lug around with it, a laptop USB port works just fine. Of course, YMMV but this little guy really works! If you background sound to help you sleep, I highly recommend trying out the Levtrofan Sound Machine for its versatility and effectiveness.
