Best crypto storage device ever, this lil handy device is a must have for all crypto holders. Not only does it come with spare key pages to keep your keys stored, but extras to have in a safe place just in case you loose the 1st one. This is a must have as online wallet are not secure

For something that can hold so much crypto assets I wish it were built differently. Yes it looks great and is made of high quality but what happens if it gets wet? What happens if it gets hot or theres a fire? What happens if life happens? This device is not advertised to be water proof, drop proof, or have fire prevented materials. If something happens to this device than that’s it. Yes it will secure your crypto assets off site but you also have to use their software and web application to access. The device does hold tons of different crypto currencies however you can only access the device via the usb c port for when you upload your crypto. Yet again what happens if this port malfunctions or breaks? There is no back up like Bluetooth? I saw online there is a higher end model with the Bluetooth feature but yet again what about some extra physical protection? You will need a pc or Mac to access this chip do to it being usb c only with a usb c to a provided cord. Yet again something I find inconvenient. Maybe I am an on the go person and I am not one who Carry’s my laptop and rely on an iPhone. In regards to security; nobody will be able to hack into this devices. You select 24 words that you uniquely choose and write down with the provided access key sheets. Don’t loose these either! It’s also equipped with a CC EAL5+ chip which is advertised as the lasted prevented security chip against hackers. All in all, if you are looking to have everything in one place, all your accounts and your currency stored off the web this is your device. I would just protect this device with your life. Stored in a fire and water proof safe along side with your 24 word cards. I would even have your words saved in multiple spots. Digitally (locked) and written. Lots of steps here for extra safety .

I purchased this to keep a little bitcoin I generated from mining. I did not want to keep it online as hacking is a concern and I'm not a trader so I wasn't going to be doing a lot of transactions. Initially, I misunderstood the concept of cold wallet, and thought the keys to the btc would be stored wholly on the Ledger. This is incorrect. Only the private key is stored on it behind an 8 number code and 24 letter recovery seed in case of theft or loss. The public key stays on your Ledger app which allows you to see the balance but not dispose of the btc. It has become a very entertaining activity to have the app open to see how the btc varies up and down. Also, tools are included to purchase, sell, trade or stake (which I don't know what is yet). So I might start purchasing some more crypto when the time is right.
