An upgrade in every way from the first one. It's def not cheap, but the OLED really is everything on this one. Significantly better feeling to hold than the Go 1, I find it to be a toss up comfort wise with Go S. Better sound, slightly better performance but better efficiency overall than gen 1. My favorite Handheld I have ever tried, and I have used a Steam Deck Oled, a LeGo 1, an ROG Ally, and LeGo S.

So I’ll start off by saying I really enjoying using this handheld. The screen, speakers, and controls were top notch. It was very powerful and ran a lot of games at low settings but full resolution. So zero complaints on performance. Battery life was absolutely terrible. Even just watching videos I couldn’t get more than a few hours out of the device. And while gaming it was a must to be plugged it for any extended gaming session. But you couldn’t play games long without either leaning on a table or having some way to support the device. This thing was uncomfortably heavy. So using it in tablet mode with the controllers disconnected or leaning on a table. I ultimately returned it because it just wasn’t worth the money.

I would like to start off by saying ive owned the original rog ally z1 extreme since day 1 release and i loved it, i also bought the xbox ally z2 extreme and returned it. I love lenovo products i own a 4080 i9 liquid cooled desktop that ive had for almost 3 years now with 0 issues, after the disappointment (with the screen size and weird handles) i had with the xbox rog z2 extreme i decided to purshase this legion go 2, best thing i could have done. The screen is beautiful and games can actually run at that 1200p at mid to high settings. I play only AAA games outerworlds 2,stalker 2,red dead 2, spidermam and all those gsmes run amazing at mid to high settings at 1200p.

I’m a person that loves tech, did I need this No, I already have the steam deck and rog ally x and a high end pc. But let me say this this one is the hand held to beat, yes it’s extremely expensive but it’s worth it imo. It’s like the switch and a gaming pc hade a kid and this was born. Oled is just beautiful, I hate it’s on windows but you can run steam os on it and improve battery life and frames.

    The best handheld gaming PC

The Good: - 8.8" display is the best and most immersive experience you can get on a handheld. - OLED brings vibrant colors, perfect inky blacks with infinite contrast, and HDR looks incredible. - 144hz with VRR makes games look butter smooth. - Performance on the Z2E processor and 32GB of RAM is solid with being able to play all my favorite games on the go. - The most versatile handheld with 4 different ways to use it. Handheld, console, FPS, or tablet mode. - Streaming to the Legion Go 2 is awesome. If you have a decent PC, you can use sunshine or apollo app (I use apollo) on your PC, and moonlight on the legion go, and stream all your games to your handheld. This is one of the ways to take full advantage of the display and play your games on max settings at full 1200p 144hz on the OLED screen. The mid: - Windows 11 is a clunky experience on a handheld that takes up a lot of resources. Look into getting the "xbox full screen experience" on the legion go 2 for a better UI that allows you to access all your games and launchers from one space, while using far less resources to increase performance - Comfort is ok. It is a big and heavy device, and the right thumb stick can feel a little cramped during extended playing sessions. Not a deal breaker, but something I've noticed. Also, playing with 2 separate controllers when they are detached feels awkward. It would have been nice include a plastic piece to make your 2 controllers into 1. I know you can buy these separately, but with how much these things cost, it should have been included. The bad: - The price of this generation of handhelds is pretty crazy. Also compared to the first Legion Go and the fact that this costs almost twice the price is even crazier to think about. - The setup process of windows 11 is annoying. You got to update windows, update your apps in the Microsoft store, update your BIOS and/or drivers in the legion space app, possibly uninstall and reinstall your gpu drivers, and then, if you're lucky and didn't run into any issues, then you can start downloading your launchers and games.

    Best handheld in the game!

Is it expensive? Yes. Is it worth it? Abso-freaking-lutely. I've gone through a laundry list of handheld PCs now - I've owned the ROG Ally Z1E, ROG Ally X, Legion Go 1, Steam Deck OLED, MSI Claw 8ai+, and OneXPlayer F1 Pro. All of these devices were great in their own ways, but had compromises either in performance or efficiency. Legion Go 2 is the only one that I truly cannot put down that I have no major complaints about, so much so that I've sold all of my other handhelds. Let's start with the star of the show: THE SCREEN. This is hands down the best screen in this form factor. Colors pop, VRR minimizes stuttering, and the resolution is just right. I am shocked just how good this display is and after using the Go 2, I couldn't go back to another device, even if they also had an OLED screen. I hope that Lenovo releases a lightweight tablet that leverages this display in the future. The speakers are much improved from Gen 1. I returned the Legion Go almost immediately because the speakers on that device were an absolute joke. Even though they are still top firing, the sound stage is much bigger and I've had 0 issues with it. Battery life on this device is incredible. I love how I can just charge it while not in use, then play through an entire session without having to plug in again. The Z2 Extreme is very efficient at lower wattages and the battery is much improved over the previous model as well. Ergonomically, it feels very good in the hands and somehow feels lighter than the Gen 1 Go. It's still heavy compared to other devices in the market and you will feel some strain if your favorite way to play is in bed like me. I don't love the release mechanism of the controllers and wish that Lenovo implemented a magnetic mechanism like the Switch 2. The trackpad is the best one I've used on a non-Steam Deck handheld. I love the bottom port for charging. One minor gripe I have is the sheer number of buttons on this device which are really hard not to press inadvertently just from gripping it. Would be great if Lenovo could release controllers that are a little more trimmed down on the extra buttons. Minor complaints: The carrying case is a soft one. I wish they provided a hard case like the Gen 1 Go. The controller sticks have very low resistance. Not bad enough to be a dealbreaker. Would have liked to see a 2TB SSD at this price point. Don't love the type of SSD they used either (2242). Upgrading is pretty easy though. Windows still sucks. Install Bazzite on this and don't look back.

Best handheld out there I have MSI claw 8 and Asus Rog Ally X and i can say with confident this thing is a beast. Large 8.8 oled screen makes my gaming experience more immersive. I really love the form factor of this thing. It can be a tablet or handheld Unfortunately it’s little heavy

This handheld has been spectacular! For context tried to use an ROG Ally X earlier this year and I just could not get into it. 7in screen just did not cut it. The lego2 is phenomenal in this regard. The screen is gorgeous clearly the best among any handhelds undisputed. The ergonomics are also great although that's more of a subjective thing they certainly work great for me. So far my longest session with this has been 10+ hours and it's handled it like a champ. Battery life is pretty great easily going for 5+ hours on lower tdp games. Makes for an exceptional flight companion. The amount of programmable buttons is also quite nice makes it easy to map everything I want. Overall just an awesome device and with that gorgeous screen likely going to be great long past it's capabilities as an awesome game streamer too! That said it is pricey and could use a storage bump, I did end up plopping a 4Tb ssd and it is nice that I supports the 2280s but of course that brings the price even higher.

    4.5* - Wash w/ Xbox Ally X IMO

4.5 Stars. Most important thing to note, Steam Deck OLED vents still smell better. I had the XBAX (xbox ally x) and returned it to preorder the Legion Go 2. I rated the XBAX a 4 and will stick with that but it had the superior ergonomics, and IMO the xbox full screen experience beats the glitchy Legion Space when comparing the native software. Also The LEGO2 D-Pad and right thumbstick placement is horrible, reminds me of the Switch. I have large hands and have to tuck and bend, I find it easier to just use the ball joint of my thumb, though not as accurate. And my palm is constantly touching the touch pad making it do funny things, so I disabled it completely. Since it's detachable, I hope Lenovo or a third party can make a more ergonomic controller even if it makes it wider. Also speakers, it's decent but the XBAX front facing speaker is much better. Initial impressions I wasn't impressed. The OLED is nice, but some games I have to lower the resolution on top of upscale which made it look hideous on a nice OLED display. I'm also never frame gen as my eyes/brain is sensitive to the fake frames. But eventually the LEGO2 grew on me, it takes a bit of tinkering for each game, if you don't mind that you can get decent results. Most games I'm running lower settings with FSR, and I prefer Balance energy/power profile for a more quiet fan experience and mildly better battery. Windows 11 is actually useable as a computer, that's why I'm giving this the extra .5 stars. It has the spec to be a decent PC and can be a casual laptop replacement.

Other than the typical Windows user experience and tweaking of games etc this thing is awesome. If you understand what you are getting into owning a windows handheld, that shouldn't be a reason to complain. I wish the right thumbstick was a little higher but its never gonne be one size fits all when it comes to ergonomics and hand sizes. All the games i enjoy playing have had a significant boost in performance due to the upgraded ram and processor. For reference the games i have run on it so far have been: D4, D2R, D3 (emulated), Last Epoch, PoE2, Bf6, RDR2 and CoD. None of them have been a bad experience once tweaked for maximum performances vs graphics. The screen is as advertised. An upgrade i wasnt particularly interested in but I dont think i cpuld go back to the non Oled screen. All in all if you know what youre paying for in this niche market you shouldnt really have a problem with this device. The only bit of buyers remorse I have is the potential of not being future proof once the next gen rolls out. Thats the same with all tech though.

Not a fan of Windows, so I installed Bazzite on it and it made my experience MUCH more enjoybale. It essentially turns into a beefed up Legion Go S which was also great. The screen however is where this handheld leaves everything else in the dust. It’s simply sublime and once you see it, its hard to game on a LCD screen like the Xbox Ally. Its expensive, but you get what you pay for. 10/10, 5 stars, and two thumbs up for this device. The one caveat I have, however, is the side buttons. Why they placed buttons where your palm goes is beside me. Yes, you can disable them but its still annoying to click them. There are cases that essentially block those buttons though. Also, this was typed on my iPhone and I can’t make separate paragraphs.

This one is tough. I have had mine for a week and have to decide whether to keep it or return it in a few days. The unit is fantastic, with an unbelievably clear, bright, and sharp screen. Games run great on it, but here's the rub: you have to tweak and tinker with each game. A lot of time is spent in meetings trying to. Get the optional settings. I had COD 7 through Xbox Game Pass. I have that running excellently, fast, responsive, but I only get just over an hour on battery. I'm really torn between keeping it and returning it. It's the price, it's costly for what it does, ideally this should be a 700-800$ device. I know they can not make it for that; they are in business. Totally different device, like comparing Apples to Oranges, but for my use case, sitting in bed, or lying on the couch, my PlayStation Portal does it better at a 10th of the cost, yes, it does not have an OLED display, and it only streams. Still, the games work, up and running in 90 seconds from boot. My head and wallet say return it, my heart says keep it.

As someone that has owned just about every gaming handheld over the past several years (Steam Deck, SD OLED, ROG Ally X, Legion Go S Steam OS, ROG XBOX Ally X), the Legion Go 2 Z2E is the best of everything. It has the best screen you can find (it’s hard to go back after playing on an OLED screen), is very versatile, quiet, powerful and Legion Space runs well. I know it’s large, but the trade off is an immersive experience that makes it hard to re-adjust to a 7 inch screen. I know it’s expensive, but with the added features over the XBOX Ally X, $350 more is actually worth it for the screen, Hall effect joysticks, 32GB RAM and much more. Highly recommend - this will be my preferred gaming handheld for the next few years.

Overall, an amazing device. As I enjoy playing older AAA games, this machine is a beast. For newer AAA games, I would have to significantly reduce the graphics, but with Steam and streaming from my desktop, it's possible. With this OLED screen, I had the same crisp image I would get on my desktop, and that was my biggest reason for wanting to keep it. Battery life was manageable. The controller was right up my alley, as I have longer hands. The detachable controllers were a very new experience compared to the switch, and being able to play it while rocking my child on my chest was awesome. One thing I had to do when opening it was to install the drivers and updates. It is Windows 11, so expect that to be normal when booting up daily. I see on the Lenovo site that they do have more variants of this model, where it comes in 2TB, which I had hoped for, but it doesn't seem like Best Buy will sell that version. All in all, great device if your just getting into the handheld world.

Amazing PC gaming handheld. The screen size nice to have compared to the other popular PC handhelds. OLED makes it amazing. The windows OS still needs tweaking to perform better, namely de-bloating but it still works great and allows for games with anti-cheat that don't work under Linux. I am very happy with my Legion Go 2 after upgrading from my LCD Steamdeck. Minor nitpicks are the right controller thumb stick position isn't the greatest, but I can make due. The legion space app also isn't as polished as it could be. Hopefully they do some more work on it or just go to the XBOX full screen experience for the default launcher.
