This was a great purchase. So long as you set tdp to 25w you’ll get a straight 2 hours and with the help of and fluid motion frames I was consistently hitting my 120 fps target.

This is my first time reviewing a product sold by Best Buy. The Lenovo - Legion Go 1 TB SSD has seamlessly integrated into my daily life, whether I'm at home, on the move, or in my car. I rely on it regularly, often teaming it up with my 80k mAh battery portable power station for on-the-go charging. It's truly a remarkable product. Despite not having played any video games for several months because of a busy job schedule, taking a chance on the Lenovo Legion Go was well worth it. I even completed my first game, Resident Evil Village, on high settings with just a few minor adjustments. Currently, I'm immersed in Triangle Strategy, running smoothly at 5 watts on this handheld gaming device. However, I'm disappointed that I wasn't approved for financing through Best Buy.

I’m a child of the 90’s, and my love of handheld games started with a clear case GameBoy Pocket. I had a Sega GameGear, a GameBoy color, a GBA, a GBA-sp and then a PSP. The Legion Go scratches an itch that came with the nostalgia for handhelds brought on with the introduction of the Nintendo Switch. I love my switch, but the amazing versatility of the Legion Go is a testament to what a handheld system can be. Not just a gaming system, but a fully operational computer with access to the full suite of Microsoft productivity software. Grab an external monitor, a dock, and a mouse and keyboard l, and you have a great little setup! Is it a little heavy? Yea, but its worth it when you see how much capability they have packed in this small formfactor.

Only complaint is the battery life, but I play when I’m able to plug in, usually when I’m in bed and off the day. And with this kind of power the battery won’t last long so it’s understood!

Honestly every game I’ve played it’s been able to run reminds me of a switch with the removable controllers. I would say I’m excited to give this bad boy a test run especially on road trips. Screen is amazing and beautiful. I do wish they had an old version of this but it’s still amazing I’m excited to see what else Lenovo has next.

The Lenovo Legion Go has me back in gaming again and it's Amazing! :-D The main deciding factor for me was the versatility of the controllers, able to be disconnected and used separately or even use one like a mouse, which was perfect for COD gaming! :-) I've been able to play Uncharted Thieves bundle edition and the Tomb Raider Trilogy with no issues, I also opted for the larger storage 1Tb because I had a feeling I'd be exploring more games now that I'm back into gaming and able to be mobile with this handheld :-) The whole design of this handheld works great for me and hopefully for you too! Best purchase I've made in a while! :-P

I love the screen, feel in hand and the controllers (when they don't have connection issues). I would say this is for someone who knows their way around computers in general and loves to tinker. Updates for this have been coming slow and some features arent implemented yet, hut are supposed to be soon. If you want a plug and play experience, I would probably suggest a Steam Deck to get your feet wet. Between the ROG or this (Lenovo Legion Go) I would pick this any day.

Well, a lot has been said, but after all, I bought it. Best Buy did a great job, it was ready to pick up 4 days before. It's huge, and my hands feel it after 1 hour. But, when you complete all your set up, it's perfect. Great games at 60fps with graphics at medium, Dead Space, High on Life, GOW, everything looks really good in that hig screen . I'm a consolegamer so it was difficult to me at the beggining, but with a few youtube videos, I think I setted it up well. The battery last 2 hours or more depending of your performance, but for me, is all what I need just for playing when traveling. I will think about this product if you may be have small hands, but the bottoms will not be a problem. Just... The weight. Lenovo took a risk, but they did it really well.

The legion is just decent at best , if I’m giving my two cents . The screen is nice but should have used OLED. The speakers suck and that’s me being nice , they are very low . Battery life sucks as well so make sure to be near external power supply. The price is high for what you are buying but the day I purchased it it was on sale for $600. I would have returned it but I exceeded the 15 day return policy. I’d say don’t purchase this unless it’s below $500

Hey KayodeW,
Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. We are sorry to hear that you are dissatisfied with your experience using the Legion Go. We'd like to work with you to try to improve your experience.
To start, we recommend following setting adjustments shared by fellow Legion Go users on Reddit and the Legion Gaming community forums to see what works best for others with configuring system sound to your liking.
Regarding the battery life, the Legion Go was designed to play AAA titles, and its power draw can be high to deliver performance as a priority. Depending on the demand of the game you're playing, by pressing the Legion R button to launch the quick menu, you can switch to lower power mode to save battery. In the menu, under the performance tab, users can toggle thermal modes and prioritize battery life by using the default mode or creating a custom thermal mode should you not be satisfied with the 3 presets. These adjustments can also be made by going into Legion Space > Settings (Legion Space can be launched quickly by pressing the Legion L button (Legion Logo above the button).
Also, we appreciate your comments regarding OLED displays. This system did not use one, since the power draw would already be great, driving an OLED panel would have added to this, thus further increasing the chance of being dissatisfied with system power efficiency. This will be considered for future implementation.
Please feel free to share any updates that you may have.
Best regards, Lenovo

Great Handheld for the price I paid for it.
Got this when it first came out in 2023 for $600 (open box) with no issues!!!
The only issue is the Lenovo software!!!
The latest updates have made it alittle bit better but the graphics drivers are always way behind by like 2 months.
the track pad make navigating Windows alot easier and I can't imagine try to use a handheld without one!!!

So, I’ve had the Lenovo legion go for about a month now and I have to say that buying it was such a good idea that I highly recommend it. I understand that it’s something still being worked on and yes its still in its infancy stage and is a bit buggy with certain games but it’s to go good not to get buts, yes if you mind the fees bugs here and there then yes get it! But if you are the type to nit pick over any little thing then or smallest for that matter then I would recommend getting something else, this is handheld system that’s growing and has so much potential it’s worth a shot, give it a try!

I picked this up to be able to play some of my favorite older games, like Fallout 3, and it handles them like a champ! I was hitting 60 fps consistently on high settings, and the battery would last around 2 hours.

First thing, the obvious, the display is stunning but that’s where everything ends for me, the software is not even remotely close to being matured, it is janky and doesn’t make me want to utilize anything. The speakers are not that great at all compared to the Rog Ally and Steam Deck. I think in about 3-6 months it could be better. The start select buttons are also located in an odd place. I will say that for its size it feels light and the ergonomics are great. Legion space software needs a lot of polishing. I do not recommend until software has improved vastly.

The legion go is by far one of the best handheld gaming devices out there. The weight is not a big issue and actually feels lighter than what others said, the 8.8 inch screen is truly amazing even though VRR is not available (144Hz refresh rate is still good) the battery life is way better than the ROG Ally, and setup out of the box was much smoother for me at least. Now for some cons, the legion software is still being updated over time, and AMD is still working with legion to fix some other minor to minimum issues. I will say the SD card slot is way better than the one on the Ally. iykyk
